#domestic avengers

LIVE

izukayla:

I remember when the Avengers fandom was literally just fics of the old guard living in Avengers tower. Tony never came out of his workshop. Thor was inexplicably obsessed with poptarts. Clint lived in the vents. Loki occasionally popped by for shenanigans/angst. Good times, good times

the-elle-hypothesis:

the avengers as parents (part 1):

  • pepper: pepper is the kind of mother who would comfort you for even the smallest problem. she wouldn’t say “stop crying” or “go to your room” as soon as you started nagging, even if it’s about school. she’d sit and talk to you and help you resolve the problem. she’s the most supporting mother ever and morgan is lucky to have her. she’s the kind of person to say “there’s food at home” when you suggest getting take out but her cooking’s good so win win right?
  • tony: tony’s the dad who would sit and help you with your math homework at the table but you wouldn’t start crying because he’s intimidating and you don’t understand; you’d start crying because he’s explaining it in his own logic which makes no sense. he’d get you plenty of snacks and is always willing to go to a mcdonald’s drive through (even if there’s food at home). if he’s watching tv you’re not allowed to change the channel; even if he’s asleep in front of the tv. tony would make a special schedule just to control who has the tv each hour and gives himself the most screentime.
  • steve: steve is the old school parent who puts a curfew for you or tells you you’re not allowed to watch tv past 8. dinners always eaten at the dinner table and that’s when he asks about your day. no cursing at home obviously cause it’s bad manners. but steve is the kind of dad who’s always willing to spend quality time with you no matter what. he doesn’t really watch tv so you get to watch tv but everything has to be pg-13. he asks a lot of questions about pop culture and every time you use internet slang, he’ll ask “wait, what does that mean?”
  • nat: natasha is the cool mom who stays out of your business, either because she actually does not give a shit or because she knows you need space. you do have curfews but only depending on where you’re going (she’s the protective mom). she spends time with you (mostly in front of the tv when you turn it on for background noise) and you have little talks late at night. whenever you both have time, she trains you even though she tells you she’s never gonna let you fight but you need to know how to protect yourself. she always gets takeout or makes cup noodle for dinner because she claims she can’t cook but occasionally does on special occasions.

Post-Endgame domestic headcannons

  • everyone lives
  • Steve and Bucky move into a little brownstone in Brooklyn
  • and of course Bucky quickly forced Steve to adopt a cat he doesn’t want(Alpine)
  • Bucky also starts teaching kids self-defence at a martial arts studio
  • when Bucky has lessons Steve will come to and either watch him(sometimes assisting him for examples) or he goes to the café next door where he quickly befriends the workers
  • specifically a bisexual goth college kid who is doing her best to teach him modern things
  • let’s say when the team gets together they are very confused by the 90+ year old referencing gen z things
  • Nat moves in with her sister a few blocks from Steve and Bucky
  • Nat trains Yelena to take over her position in a newly public S.H.I.E.L.D
  • Nat countines to work with her parents to track down former widows
  • the dominio effect cause her two families to meet
  • let’s say the rest of the team is very shocked
  • Sam buys a new apartment closest to the new S.H.I.E.L.D
  • he makes sure it had an extra bedroom just in case any superhero’s need to crash
  • it ends up bring Wanda and Vision for a few months while their Westview house is being built
  • Peter and Aunt May spend weekends at Stark cabin along with Harley who once bring undusted applied to M.I.T
  • Needless to say Tony is happy to see his two sons bonding
  • After the battle Bruce completely a banded his professor Hulk form and moved to New Asgard with Thor and Loki
  • Thor still gives the king position to Valkerye
  • At lest once a month the team tries meets up for bonding activities
  • such activities include game night, movie night, mini golf, and the zoo(should i make headcanons about these?)
  • not everyone can always make it but the others make sure to keep them updated on anything stupid that happened

asexual-wintersoldier:

marvel headcanons

  • tony hides his coffee maker from Peter ONLY from ten PM to six AM
  • Steve ate a bar of soap once because Natasha told him it was candy and he didnt want to be rude and spit it out
  • sam calls ‘fight or flight response’ the 'flight or flight response’
  • Bucky has a never ending storage of candy in his apartment and at the compound
  • Bruce has pulled one prank in his life and it was on Tony when he switched all of the AI to say 'harder daddy’ whenever Tony said something
  • Thor snuck loki into the compound once and it took tony eight seconds to realize he was there

MCU Headcanon #17

The Avengers rotate cooking dinner which leads to various outcomes during the week. Tony is a surprisingly decent cook and usually serves up italian dishes that his mom used to make. When Steve cooks everyone is excited for dinner. He makes good, old-fashioned comfort food that “warms the soul and heart” according to Tony. Natasha night is also known as take-out night. She knows she’s no cook and instead comes to the tower with different takeaway every week. Bruce makes different exotic dishes that he learned from traveling the world. Some are hits, some are misses, but it’s always an interesting night. Clint makes simple foods that are always winners, like pizza, chicken strips, and mac and cheese. He only learned to cook when he had kids so everything he knows how to make is kid-friendly. And then there’s Thor. Everyone tries to suggest to Thor that he just get take-out like Natasha does, but he insists that he can do it. Everytime, without fail, something catches on fire, sometimes even Thor himself. JARVIS, always prepared, already has the sprinklers ready and a pizza place on call.

mcu-head-canons:

MCU Headcanon #23

All of the Avengers love movie night, but the best night is Disney movie night. Steve knows the old classics, like Snow White, but his favorite is Zootopia (Peter showed him one day because, “You HAVE to see it Mr. Rogers sir, it’s iconic!”) which is what he chooses whenever it’s his turn. Bruce’s favorite is Monsters Inc. and don’t even try to convince him that Monster’s University was a good prequel. Natasha isn’t the biggest Disney fan, but she does enjoy Mulan and knows that it’s well-liked in the group. Clint is obsessed with The Lion King. He knows all of the songs and almost every line and declares that it is “the best Disney movie, maybe even movie, of all time”. Tony is a sucker for Beauty and the Beast and loudly sings “Be Our Guest” whenever he serves dinner. Thor finds all of the Disney movies heartwarming and endearing, but his absolute favorite is The Little Mermaid, because he too “finds humans incredibly fascinating”.

uselesslavalamp:

1. Every Valentines Day the avengers wake up combat-ready on full-alert, prepared to spend the day fighting a seemingly unconquerable foe.

2. That enemy is Hawkeye. Every Valentine’s day he goes around masquerading at cupid shooting people with plastic arrows. The people he hits have to ask their crush out before midnight.

3. The suction cups on the end of the plastic arrows leave heart-shaped hickeys. This way, no one can deny they’ve been hit.

4. Hawkeye has never ever failed to hit all the avengers since he joined (yes, even Natasha, though she claims she lets him.)

5. He wears a pink camouflage suit to do all of this.

6. Clint and Wanda have a youtube channel together. They pretty much just goof off on it, but they do have a video specifically labeled “101 Ways to Annoy Your Coworkers.”

7. They have more than 101 ways though obviously so they just made the rest of the videos on how to annoy everyone.

8. Cap hates Earl Gray Tea.

9. Nasha loves fall. Not just because it’s a pretty season but because with all the red shrubbery her hair can blend in easier.

10. Tony sleeps in the weirdest places and Steve has a bingo for all the places in the tower he’s managed to take a snooze in.

headcanon that there’s a big divide between who drinks tea and who drinks coffee at avengers tower

Tony: coffee. Is this even a question? God forbid tony sleep more than two hours each night

Steve: also coffee, he used to not like it but grew to like it in the war. The team jokes it’s the only thing he and Tony agree about

Nat: she says she prefers coffee, but Clint is convinced she’s secretly a tea person but she wants to look cool

Bruce: tea, he finds it’s a very calming drink. he and tony have gotten into a lot of arguments in the lab over the superior caffeinated drink, they’ve even done science experiments to prove their drink is better

Clint: honestly Clint likes both, which is why he created his signature CoffeeLINTea™ which is just coffee and tea combined. The name came from Clint putting the words coffee and tea in his own name. He loves to make it in the morning then take a big thermos up in the vents and drink it all day. Right now he’s trying to get it patented. Tony refuses to sell CoffeeLINTea™ as a Stark Industries product but Clint insists it could make millions of dollars

Thor: as we know from the diner scene in the first Thor movie Thor is a big fan of coffee. The avengers have tried to stop him from smashing mugs when he wants more, but he keeps forgetting, so Tony pays Stephen twenty dollars a day to magically repair whichever coffee mug Thor smashed that day

Peter: this kid is addicted to coffee, he drinks more than the rest of the coffee lover avengers combined. He insists it helps with his spider sense, but when Sam threw a pillow at his head after his twenty third cup and it just bounced off without Peter noticing, Sam decided this was false

Bucky: he also drinks coffee. He has a very precise routine and if you disturb him in the morning while he’s making coffee he will detach his metal arm and throw it at you. All of the avengers have gotten good at ducking suddenly when they hear Bucky detach his arm, and it’s a regular sight to see it flying across the kitchen in the morning

Sam: he loves sweet tea of course, he was raised in Lousiana. He does like herbal tea in the morning, though. He also likes coffee as well, but not as much as tea. He usually makes all the tea loving avengers’ tea in the morning cause he’s the only one who can interrupt Bucky’s routine without getting a metal arm thrown at his head

Rhodey: doesn’t really have a preference. He drinks coffee on the week days and tea on the weekends. Despite liking them equally, he refuses to try CoffeeLINTea™

Wanda: she drinks tea for the same reason as Bruce, it calms her down. She’s become rather a tea connoisseur and only buys the fanciest teas

Vision: can’t drink. However he is the only one allowed to help Wanda shop for tea, and he loves telling her facts about different teas as they shop

T’challa: loves coffee. How Wanda is with tea, T’challa is with coffee. He only buys the best and very few people are allowed to drink it. If T’challa is proud of you, you will know because he will invite you to drink coffee with him. No one turns down a coffee date with T’challa. Even Shuri isn’t allowed to drink his coffee though, and she gets back at him by making fun of his fancy coffee

Shuri: likes coffee, but “not as much as some people (cough cough T’challa)”. She regularly joins in on Bruce and Tony’s experiments to find the best caffeinated beverage, but does ridiculous experiments like finding out which drink is the least slippery. Bruce and Tony aren’t sure how that’s gonna help find the superior caffeinated beverage but they have fun doing it

Carol: also a coffee drinker. She thinks “tea is for the weak.” She didn’t actually say that but Shuri thought it would be funny if everyone thought she did so she spread the rumor. Now all the tea drinkers are slightly scared Carol is constantly judging them. Carol loves going to obscure diners and trying the coffee. It gives her the experience of Earth she misses while she’s in space, and often Thor will join her because it reminds him of his first time trying coffee

Scott: he likes tea. Coffee makes him too hyper, but he likes it as well. That’s why he’s one of the only other avengers who drinks Clint’s CoffeeLINTea™

Hope: somehow the bitterness of coffee has always been too much for her so she drinks tea. When she was estranged from Hank she only drank coffee because she wanted to be different from him, and he prefers tea. But now she’s back to being friends with him she drinks tea

Stephen: coffee, he says the bitterness helps him focus on his magic. He has high standards for coffee so he and T'Challa have struck up on odd friendship around quality coffee.

Yelena: coffee, she’s the type of person who puts ridiculous amounts of sugar and cream in her coffee. Nat says she doesn’t drink coffee, she just drinks sugar with a tiny bit of coffee flavoring. However she also drinks tea and is a fan of CoffeeLINTea™

Xialing: tea, without a doubt. She frowns on coffee for being so popular in America, and makes fun of Katy for drinking so much of it

Shang-Chi: he also prefers tea. He grew up drinking it and when he makes it he always thinks of his mother fondly because she used to make it for him

Katy: obsessed with coffee. She’s probably the only one who can compete with the amount of coffee Peter drinks. She regularly tries to convince Xialing and Shang-Chi that its better than tea, but they only laugh at her

Kate Bishop: coffee, Clint has tried to get her to try CoffeeLINTea™ many times but she always refuses and says it’s gross. She’s the only one who can say its disgusting and not offend him

whenever someone new joins the Avengers they are expected to choose a side on the coffee vs. tea debate, because both sides take it very seriously

I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom

Thor is game.

Bruce nopes out four minutes in.

Nat lost a bet to Hawkeye so she has no choice.

The Wookie scenes: Wanda accidently broadcasts  what she’s hearing to every mind within a thousand mile radius.

Jefferson Starship: Tony Stark, Scott Lang, and Marie Ant-toinette all vote this special is not completely unsalvageable.

Ava Starr finds joy in seeing the Storm Trooper decapitate the baby stuffed bantha.

Valkyrie has everything she needs to get through this. Her favorite scene is Bea Arthur’s number “Just One More Round Friend.”

Wanda has recovered from the Wookie conversations and VR pornos, and is now totally a fan of Bantha Surprise.

“It’s easy Viz. Look, I’ll stir, stir, stir, whip, whip whip and beat, beat, beat, and you just have the ingredients ready for me. Now all together and at an increased tempo, cooking CAN be fun! STIRR STIRR WHIP STIRR WHIP STIR BEAT….”

But as soon as the Wookies start singing, Clint has had enough, and puts an arrow through the TV screen.

mcu-fangirl:

OK so I’m working on this domestic Avengers/everybody’s alive/it was all a dream MCU au and I just thought of the cutest headcanon for it. Ok so Peter decides one day that he wants to make a sitcom (Wanda made him watch so many that he’s actually gotten into them now) so he insists the help of some of the other avengers and they create 3 episodes that they post to youtube but it gets so popular that they’re now half way through filming season 3. And instead of normal credits they’re credited as stuff like “Resident Sitcoms Expert” (Wanda) and other crazy stuff.
