love the old comics because I got to the point in Avengers where Wanda, Pietro, and Clint joined and this is basically how it went:
Steve: *returns from being trapped in South America with no way home, having spent several days/weeks literally fighting snakes and jaguars in the wild before finally managing to find a ride out of the jungle and get a plane home. also he had a teenager with him the whole time he was basically just babysitting
Steve:It’s great to be back. Let’s go tell the Avengers I’m alive since none of them went look for me and teenager that’s with me. I can’t wait to see what business they’re attending to.
Thor: *is absent and dealing with some Asgard stuff*
Hank and Janet: *clearly packing their bags*
Tony: Oh great, you’re back. We’re holding a press conference about the fact that we just hired Hawkeye, the Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver as Avengers, even though up until this point all three of them have only been villains, because the rest of us are going on vacation. You’re going to supervise them while we’re gone, Steve. We did not actually vet them to make sure they aren’t still villains, good luck!
Marvel Feature #6 (Friedrich/Trimpe, Nov 1972). Jan gets on Hank’s level to sort through some marital discord. But Whirlwind — who has been in disguise as Jan’s chauffeur (for years!) — burns down their lab. Now the two teeny Avengers are missing presumed dead.
Marvel Feature #5 (Friedrich/Trimpe, Sept 1972). Still stuck in his shrunken size, Pym stumbled across an old foe’s latest scheme. Egghead’s niece stitches Hank a teeny new outfit to replace his soda-stained super-suit.
Marvel Feature #4 (Friedrich/Trimpe, July 1972). Hank Pym is dragged out of retirement when a French gangster kidnaps the son of Curt Connors. He and Peter Parker are able to save the kid, but after getting infected with a rabies variant, Pym is apparently stuck ant-sized! Also Hank now has a dog named Orkie who can drive cars. This is gonna be a real goofy book.
ARHSHHGHG What If..? Ep 3 so many thoughts so many feelings. After endgame i’d been feeling pretty meh about the mcu in general, even now I do. This era, with coulson, and Fury was still assembling the avengers, It made me so nostalgic for the days past. Betty Ross is amazing and I loved her in the hulk movies and i missed her very much. Everybody dies but it was so feel-good. And Nat saved the day, what else is new. Father daughter vibes between Nick and Nat, gotta love it.
plus plus plus, Fury mentioned Hope died in Odessa, Ukraine which happens to be where Natasha was shot, so I’m thinking the winter soldier killed her.
plus plus plus, any indian fans who have seen B.R.Chopra’s Mahabharata, did anyone else get reminded of the voice of Samay and The Watcher?
