In the sanctuary’s high light he stood, with plaster-smudged fingers and brush in hand, and glazed the wall gold. And I watched him painting from between the pews, his lips parted in concentration, and his arms corded in muscle. And I wondered if he touched me, this young god before me, what would happen?
Harry turns. Malfoy leans against the doorway to the back garden under the halo of a gaslamp dangling overhead. The warm glow of the flame casts him in a golden light, and he’s framed on either side by trailing grapevines cascading over the garden walls. So soft, Harry thinks, where the Malfoy in his mind once seemed so sharp.
It took three days before the first hints were on the news, and a week before Harry spotted the first Infected on his own street. A month until there was no chance of stopping the panic, and six weeks until the government and Ministry fell. This is a story about two people boldly chasing their happiness in spite of their fears, overcoming the chokehold of a difficult past, and learning how to communicate by whatever means necessary, be it rhymes or recipes.
Harry is happy. He has his cat cafe and his hobbies. He has his friends, and Dolly Parton, and a shirt with a cowboy frog on it. It’s all a man needs, really.

For the last five years, Auror Draco Malfoy has walked into his office with hardly a glance at the illusioned window taking up the back wall. It looks out over an imagined London, a perfectly bright and brilliant view of the city that hides the smog and rain and dirt that clings to the city like a patina of time that can never be worn away. It’s always a perfect summer’s day with soft, white clouds that float through the painfully bright blue sky like a dream. He likes to imagine the gentle breeze that ripples the surface of the Thames brushing across his skin, since he’ll never be able to actually feel it. After all, his office is located on the second floor and is, therefore, underground.
Or at least that’s what he did before the seventh of October, 2009.
The closest house is miles away, and the red clay earth eats sound. He had married Draco, had moved here in hopes of a perfect love, a fantasy romance, but something is terribly wrong with this place. Draco is nervous, and tells Harry with his eyes not to drink the tea that his mother serves.
Grimmauld Place has been acting strange; locked doors won’t open for Harry and he could swear the rooms are shifting around to trick him. Is the house just up to its old tricks or is there something more sinister afoot? And what’s with all the Draco Dazes?

When Draco wakes up from the Incident of the DoM with no memory of what happened and what he allegedly did, he needs to find the missing pieces of his life. All between balancing his duties, his despise for the Wizarding World dearest Saviour, Longbottom, and dealing with those warm green eyes that haunt his mind.

I don’t believe that for a single moment.” He paused, taking a moment before he continued speaking. “I’m sorry that I didn’t reply immediately. I wasn’t judging you. Please don’t think I was. I care about you. Anything I can do to help, I will.”
