Renaissance of Youth 20" x 20" - 8 layers of paper collage and holographic foil in resin - Living in the art studio until my first solo show in Phoenix, AZ on April 1st! ✌
Finally getting to share a project I’ve worked on for a long time with @sillytarantula ! We are working on a series of chibi cryptid hand cast resin figures, starting with Mothman. We both worked on the character design (I chibi-fied her awesome art), I did the 3D model, she did the resin casting, and we both did the finishing and painting! These guys will be available at Designercon and Cryptidcon this weekend! #mothman #resintoy #3dprinting #3dmodeling #cryptid #designertoy #arttoy #epoxyresin #cloverpuff #smashbeetle https://www.instagram.com/p/CWJf6_upaFD/?utm_medium=tumblr
Holy cow! Time has really flown! Just a year ago, I was anxiously awaiting my copy of Xenoblade 2 to arrive in the mail so I could get to playing it right away and embark on another adventure! I unfortunately haven’t had time to make a proper anniversary piece, but I hope you enjoy some of the sketches I’ve made thus far along with an epoxy resin casting I made of Malos’ core crystal for a future cosplay of mine!
(All of these sketches can be found over on my twitter as well, so go have a look see if you want!)
Slightly gushy remarks about how much I love Monolith Soft and my Xeno games under the cut! Don’t worry, I tried not to drag it on too much because I definitely can ✍️
Having not expected a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles, I was both shocked and desperately curious about what Xenoblade 2 would be all about when I saw the first teaser trailer during the Nintendo Switch presentation in 2017. I was met with a colorful cast of memorable characters and exciting twists and turns in the plot upon approaching endgame. Although each Xeno game seems to offer something different to players whether it’s changes in gameplay, plot, or general art direction, I can say without a doubt that this game has won a spot in my heart next to both Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X.
It’s been a solid year and I still haven’t tired of the characters I quickly came to love and I’m still even analyzing some! All the while I’ve made new friends and grown closer to old ones as too. There’s just something special about these games and their community that just takes the cake for me! Although it may not always seem like it, Xenoblade will always be my home The games always seem to show up at the right moments for me and ultimately have made a huge positive impact on my life. They’re just too important to me to forget about!
