2022 Prompt Announcement
Hello everyone and welcome to Historical Hetalia Week 2022! This year, the event will be held from February 21st to February 27th, 2022.
Prompts:
Day 1 (21.02): B.C. – 500 // Memories
Day 2 (22.02): 500 – 1000 // Seasons
Day 3 (23.02): 1000 – 1500 // Tradition
Day 4 (24.02): 1500 – 1800 // Adventure
Day 5 (25.02): 1800 – 1945 // Music
Day 6 (26.02): 1945 onwards // Color
Day 7 (27.02): Free Day
Rules & Content Guidelines:
- Your work must be tagged with the following: #historicalhetaliaweek and/or @ this blog, Day and prompt being fulfilled (i.e. #hhw day 1 & #prompt: 500), proper tagging for any mature or triggering content (please see a non-exclusive list HERE)
- The event prompts will be broken into time periods to encompass all of history. However, there will also be additional prompts provided for each day. Participants are required to fulfill at least one prompt for that day. Content made for the addition prompt must have a historical setting, but not necessarily the time period it is paired with.
- Works including topics like genocide, ideologically sensitive issues, or recent tragedies will not be accepted. Works portraying topics like incest, pedophilia, rape, gore, and graphic violence will also not be accepted. If you are unsure if a work/idea conforms to this rule, our ask box is always open.

8-Bit Heart Cookies
Yields 12 cookies
The things you’ll need
Ingredients- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon extract
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- Red, white, and black buttercream in decorating bags fitted with #5 tips
- Medium bowl
- Large bowl
- Hand mixer
- Rolling pin
- Plastic wrap
- Whisk
- Rubber spatula
- Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Ro’s 8-Bit Heart Cookie Cutter
- Offset spatula
Let’s get started!
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add an egg and mix well. Pour in extracts and mix again.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix until no dry ingredients remain.
- Form into 2 discs, wrap plastic and chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll dough out to ¼-inch thick and cut into 8-bit heart shapes. Bake for 10 minutes.
Time to decorate!
- Once cool, use a #5 tip to pipe black squares and rectangles around the border of each cookie.
- Fill the center of the cookie in with red frosting using a #5 tip.
- Pipe a white “reflection” in the top left corner of the cookie with a #5 tip.

- Shows: Fall Out Boy & would have been Further Seems Forever. It was cancelled and I had no time to see another show. I made up for is in March though.
