So I have been taking a break but I still got some stuff for y’all. Some different but really good things to get you through these weird and crazy times.

Implications by@angelqueen04From their Ao3

When Palpatine implied that Padmé and Obi-Wan might be up to something, what if Anakin hadn’t responded by turning into a jealous twit?

A Padme/Obi-Wan/Anakin piece or Obianidala piece. The description is perfect for this steamy piece [Status: Complete]

the stars of the south (guide me to you) by @abstractragedyFrom their Ao3

There’s something living in the forest. Something you can’t quite put your finger into.

The opportunity to head south to your grandparents’ old cabin for the summer break was more than inviting. A whole month of solitude, early mornings with orange-red sunrises, the rushing water of the creek – all of it sounded positively seductive, and you were more than interested.

Now, after you’ve settled in, you are positively certain something is taking residence in the forest – something unnatural.

A Flip Zimmerman x Reader that is all types of mysterious. If you like Mountain men/Lumberjacks this is a good mythical take on it. [Status: Complete]

Looking for someone to accompany a middle-aged man to a social outing in the country NEXT weekend. I only wish to make my homophobic mother squirm non-stop for sixty hours and nothing more. Successful applicant will be rewarded handsomely. Cash bonus on offer if you are one or several of the following: young (must be eighteen or over - no practical joke is above the law), working class, someone with an extreme aversion to received pronunciation or in possession of a strong regional accent/dialect.

A Kingsman Harry Heart/Eggsy Unwin Fake Dating AU that is SO good. Honestly changed my view of that movie and got me into this ship. [Status: Complete]

Returning to Sanity by AchillesTheGeek on Ao3

It’s just after the Battle of Hogwarts, and the insanity that was Voldemort is over. The clean-up is about to begin. How will the Wizarding World return to sanity? And will Harry manage to keep his?

EWE. Rated M for later chapters. M/M, adult themes, possible MPREG

I know Harry Potter is controversial right now but this is a really good Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy work that doesn’t give money to JK Rowling. Its 100 chapters and really really good. It’s a beast at 605,095 words, but if you have nothing else to read at the moment this is good to curl up with.

NOTE:These are works that I enjoy, you don’t have to like them. I am open to suggestions but I can be very picky about what I actually enjoy. I have consumed a lot of work, but there are only so many that I would recommend. No hate on any authors work but this is my opinion.

Hi babies! I’m so sorry for no update last week, it’s been pretty stressful. I’m moving into my dorms in less than a week, so I’m getting everything ready!

I hope you enjoy this update of Scene of Destruction!

TW: Brief mention of a hate crime

The days were starting to get colder in Colorado Springs as winter rapidly approached. Luckily for the Colorado Springs Police Department, crime spiked in the summer and dimmed down in the winter. Unluckily for the department, that meant more dragging days for the officers and detectives. The day had been spent in the indoor range practicing aim, discarding old paperwork that was no longer needed, and prank calls from just as restless teenagers.

At this point, Flip had considered quitting, going home, and finding something more productive to do until the weather warmed back up. Just when he was about to give in, there came a knock on the glass doors of the detective wing. Flip was the first out of his seat and at the door, pulling it wide open. He expected an elated chief with a case in his hand but instead was greeted with a small, familiar figure holding multiple boxes of what smelled to be the most delicious donuts in the area.

Y/N let out a struggling groan as she balanced the boxes in her arms. “A little help here!” The small voice echoed from behind the boxes. Flip snapped out of his shock that she had returned and swiftly pulled the boxes from her, carrying them to his desk. Everyone jumped from their seats and ran over, eager to get a bite of the sweet-smelling desserts. Flip smacked them away from the boxes and scolded them like small children. “Where are your manners?” His voice boomed in a tone to make any man tremble. The chorus of apologies seemed to be enough for him.

With a chorus of praise and thanks, each man returned to their desks with at least two donuts in hand. Flip turned to Y/N with a soft smile on his face. “Thank you for the donuts… It’s been a long day.” He let out a heavy sigh as he walked to the corner and grabbed an extra chair. He set it down beside his desk before plopping down in his desk chair. “Hard cases?” Y/N questioned as she situated herself in the chair he had offered and grabbing a donut of her own. Flip let out a strained laugh and shook his head. “Lack thereof.” He corrected her. Y/N raised her eyebrow slightly. “I guess seasonal crime is true, huh?” Flip nodded his head solemnly. “The same way… every… fucking… year…” He accentuated.

Flip was relieved that Y/N had decided to stay to keep them all company. He had missed her over the last week. Sometimes, she was all he could think about. Truth be told, most of the detectives had given up on her case. Racism was so prevalent in Colorado Springs, that it had just been pushed behind the many cases before it. Flip was the only one still working on the case. He had been able to track down some witnesses and gained a few names in the process. He was slowly narrowing the down when he could get in touch with them. He wasn’t going to let her down. He had made a promise to her.

When Y/N decided it was time for her to go home to cook dinner, Flip was devastated. He wanted nothing more than to spend more hours with her, but he understood. He stood up from his desk chair as she helped clean up the room. He helped pick up some napkins and tossed them into the trash along with the empty donut boxes. He walked over to her and gently placed his hand on the dip in her back, guiding her out the big doors. He walked with her down the stairs and outside, a soft smile on his face. “Had to make sure you made it to your car safely.” He reassured her as he stepped back, shoving his hands into his jean pockets. He watched her climb into the car and roll the window down. “Thank you, detective.” Her voice was sly as she teased him. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he shook his head. “Drive home safe, Y/N.” She reassured him in return.

Flip still had his shift to finish, but it seemed to fly by now that he had been able to see Y/N for the day. He let out a sigh of relief once he finally looked at the clock on the wall. It had already gone dark outside, meaning his wife was probably fast asleep in bed. That gave him time to stop by the bar and get a few drinks to relax after a long day. He walked out of the station, waving bye to Jimmy and Ron before he made it to his truck. He stepped inside with ease and started up the engine before looking over at the passenger seat. Her file sat snug on the seat as he had left it this morning. He bit his lip as he picked up the manilla folder and opened it up. He smiled softly as he gazed at the contents before he set it down and drove off down the road.

He switched off the engine as his truck idled. He had made a few turns in the opposite direction of the bar, ending up right where he wanted to be. He was parked across the street from her house, gazing up at her windows, watching as her shadow passed by over and over again. He picked the camera up from the floor and chewed on his bottom lip before lifted the camera, snapping a few polaroids as she gazed out the window for the last time of the night. He set the polaroids down on his lap and watched her as she shut the curtains and walked away.

He waited until the house went dark before looking down at the polaroids in his lap. He smiled slightly as he gazed at her soft features before he flipped the file open, placing it in the pile of other pictures, sighing happily as he flicked the file closed and headed back home for the night, ready to tell his wife about his wonderful time at the bar in the morning.

A day at the CSPD had never been so slow. With an average of three phone calls an hour to the narcotics department, the detectives are all on their toes for a phone call. Not a single civilian had stepped into the department in the past two hours. That was until 4 o’clock PM, a time Detective Phillip Zimmerman would never forget. His life was never the same after. When his eyes landed on the most gorgeous specimen he had ever encountered, his whole world turned Rightside Up.

TW: Very brief mention/hint of hate crime/assault

In the distance in the maze of desks, a phone chirped for the first time of the day. Flip couldn’t be bothered to lift his head from his hands and see who the lucky recipient was. Instead, he heaved out a heavy sigh and pressed himself back from his desk, his chair scraping against the cheap tile flooring. He stood from his desk, stretching out his long limbs before his gaze fell on Jimmy. “I’ll be back.” His voice was scratchy from lack of use. Jimmy piped up at the sound and chuckled softly. “Don’t forget your air freshener.” His usual teasing didn’t faze Flip anymore, but it did earn Jimmy a hearty chuckle from the giant.

His long legs carried him to the glass office doors in seconds. He pushed open the heavy door, ready to retreat to the restroom for a half hour and come back to the same boring scene as before. That was until he heard a commotion off in the distance. Everyone perked up at the sound. It was different from all the silence they had heard that day. Jimmy rose to his feet behind his desk, ready to rush out as the shouts grew frantic. Flip was the first one down the hallway, opening the wood door that separated the detective wing from the lobby. He spotted the secretary, a plump older woman named Janice, desperately trying to calm someone down. With a few steps, he was beside the woman, placing his hand on her shoulder with a feather touch. “Ma’am… We’re going to have to have you calm down in order for us to help you…” He was met with gibberish as the mysterious woman continued to panic. “You need to talk slower.. We can’t understand you…” He explained again.

The woman turned to face him, her rain-soaked jacket clinging to her hair. “There were 3 of them…” She spoke as clear as her nerves would let her, but Flip couldn’t hear her. Not that she wasn’t understandable now, but because Flip had lost all focus. She was nothing Flip had ever seen before. Her features sucked him in, his pupils dilating as he took in her beauty. He only ever snapped out from his trance when he remembered the situation at hand. “They followed me all the way here, officer. Even after I warned them I was coming here. I was just so scared, I didn’t know what else to do!” A shiny tear cascaded down her cheek as she confessed.

A report was filed, the paperwork a relief for the team since it was busywork. The men had fled the scene, but the woman had stuck behind. Understandably frightened after her encounter today, she had to wait for her closest friend to get off work to hitch a ride back home. Everyone in the station took an interest in her, whether it be the fact that she filled the empty void of the department for the day or her beauty, the day seemed to fly by. Phillip was lucky enough to get off around the same time her friend did. Having nothing else to do, the detective offered to stay behind until her ride showed. She took a liking to the suggestion to Flip’s surprise. “Thank you… for calming me down today. I really appreciate it…” Her soft voice trailed over to Flip. He looked over and gave her a reassuring half-smile as he lit up the cigarette wedged between his full lips. “It’s no problem. You had every right to be frantic. Those men threatened your life.” He spoke to her.

They both sat in a comfortable silence, Flip smoking his Marlboro and the girl reading from a magazine. Flip watched her perk up as a red sedan turned the corner and pulled up to the curb. “Hey, troublemaker!” The girl chimed inside. Watching her gather her things and head to the car, Flip rose as well and swiped the dirt off his pants. He walked with her to the car and watched her as she slipped in. He smiled as she poked her head out of the open window. “Thank you for the help, detective.” Her voice carrying a playful but serious undertone. “I’ll have to bring you all cookies sometime soon.. Or would you prefer donuts?” Flip would have scowled at anyone else making that comment, but anything she brought in would be enough if it meant he could see her beautiful face again. “Very funny, Y/N. Now get out of here. And start carrying that knife like I told you. I don’t want to see you in here again for anything but my donuts.” He winked as he patted the roof of the car and stepped away.

He watched from the curb as the car turned out of the parking lot and disappeared down the winding mountain roads of Colorado Springs. He shoved his hands into his pockets as he pondered for a moment before he concluded that just a little information wouldn’t hurt. He walked inside the station. He nodded at his fellow detectives who questioned his arrival but surmised he had forgotten something after a long shift.

Flip ended up in the records department, nodding at Officer Clay who seemed to understand his presence. He closed up his magazine and slipped from the records room, closing the door behind him. Flip walked over to the unfiled paperwork and flipped through the files until he found the report he was looking for. He set it down on the counter and pulled his bottom lip between his teeth. He read over the whole thing, her name, her address, and her report. The words made his skin crawl. The men had cornered you, shoved you, threatened you and the thought of it happening to anyone made his stomach churn, but especially for her. She was a bright, beautiful girl who didn’t deserve such a memory etched into her mind because of some racist scum. He heaved out a loud sigh and shut the report, slipping it back into its rightful place.

Flip walked out to his truck that waited in the parking lot, ready to retreat to his home for a beer and some football. He couldn’t stop thinking about Y/N however, how she calmed down after looking at him, how she stayed so strong. The thought put a smile onto his face, one he didn’t know he had until he had arrived home and his cheeks were throbbing. He shook the smile off his face and let his long legs carry himself into his house. He locked the door shut behind him and stepped out of his boots, letting them lay disheveled on the floor. He shuffled into the living room, turning on the TV with the press of a button and disappearing into the kitchen. He returned with his beer and laid on the couch kicking his legs up onto the clean coffee table. He sipped the cold liquid until he felt a familiar soft hand on his shoulder. “Welcome home, honey. I hope work was good.” And good it was because it had turned his world Rightside Up.

The time has come! Dark!Flip and Sackler x Black!reader are being laid out and worked on as you read this! Since I’m working on both of these at the same time, I need to schedule them to ensure the best quality writing gets out to you all! (This is subject to change as I start college in less than a month!)

Tuesdays: Dark!Flip, drabbles, thots

Thursdays: Sackler x Black!Reader, imagines

During the week I will answer any questions or random things I get in my inbox as I can, but that requires things to be in my messages so please spam away!

I hope you guys are as excited as I am!!

The night was cold, the air sharp. Outside of a small house, small plumes of smoke puffed out from a trucks exhaust pipe as it idled in the driveway. The front door was wide open, the cold air chilling the living room that was now unoccupied. Inside was a trail of destruction . A glass of wine lay knocked over, soaking the carpet to a pale red. The coffee table in pieces in the corner of the room, right above a large hole knocked in the wall. It was silent, until the sound of rushing footsteps and the scrapes of an old door sounded upstairs.

The sight was far different from the quiet one outside. A figure dressed in plaid slammed against the bathroom door, it creaked and splintered under each devastating blow. Cries of terror and panic sounded behind the thick wooden door. Glass shattered as the window knocked out from a blow. It all happened so fast. The large man finally splintering the door into pieces, the girl crying out for help, then the sudden silence.

By the time the sun rose, the truck was gone and so was the girl, nothing left behind but a scene of destruction.

There will be two versions of this fic! One with no descriptors and one with a black!reader. With that being said, there will be plenty of differences between the two! They will be posted with the same plot, just differences with interactions with the reader. For example, the version with the black!reader will have many time period accurate interactions with characters.

This means that this version should be read with caution. If you would prefer as a black or POC reader to avoid these interactions, the no description version will be a wonderful back up!

So I’m thinking about writing something on ao3! So I figured I would get some input! Which would you prefer?!

BlacKKKlansman Review

This will probably be the oddest movie review you will ever read, but a) I’m not a movie reviewer b) I’m attempting to write this with zero spoilers c) I am a huge Adam Driver fan and won’t be able to detach from that to write this and d) I am legitimately and in all sense of the word still shook to the core by this movie.

First of all, after months of Flip Zimmerman hype on tumblr and other social media - the gifs, the fics, the RP blogs - I was thoroughly prepared to enter this movie and have my Flip thirst thoroughly quenched. The reality? I forgot that I was thirsty.

This movie will quickly make you forget about Flip in that way. This movie will make you forget about anything other than the intense and painful slap across the face it’s going to give you. You’re going to get wrapped up in the story, and the message, and the sheer intensity of it all, and before you know it, the end credits will be rolling as you sob in your empty popcorn bucket.

And you know what? That’s ok.

Because this movie is way bigger than Flip/Adam. Or John David. Or Spike. This movie is way bigger than any of us. The message of this movie is about where humanity as a whole is headed, and the message is not good. I see now why this movie won the Cannes Grand Prix.

Every single actor in this film put forth brilliant performances. John David is witty and genuine. Laura Harrier is strong and unapologetic, and Adam… is Adam. He is so sharp and so utterly immersed in this character, and his reactions are lightning fast. He is both strangely soft and uncomfortably intimidating in usual Adam Driver fashion. You can nearly feel his discomfort and inner turmoil. His name is deservedly on that Best Supporting Actor frontrunner list.

I will warn you, however, be prepared for language and visuals from Flip/Adam that may be triggers for some. Please message me if you’d like specifics.

The best advice I can give you is to go see this movie for the first time with a clear and open mind. This film, its director and the actors who made it deserve your undivided attention.

Then go back again to quench your thirst. (Yes, I will be going back to see it again later this week. Multiple times, I’m sure.)

“I wonder what Adam is doing tonight…”

The man is 38, I have ZERO doubt about this
