How about a stork Pokémon? We’ll call them Kryla for now, but feel free to suggest a better name.

This pseudo-legendary fakemon line takes inspiration from a whole batch of different arachnids, such as baby spiders, the wind scorpion, the vinegaroon, and the tailless whip scorpion.

A solichute’s parents weave it a silken parachute, and then cast the young arachnid into the breeze so that the winds may carry it to a new home.  When it grows into a spinegaroon, it uses its long whip-like tail to propel itself through the sky like a helicopter.  By the time it has become a chawper, it is the undisputed king of the skies.  Chawpers tend to be very territorial with others of its kind, which is why they send their young off on parachutes to find new territory for themselves.

The windstorm is a custom weather mechanic, you can read the details here.

I pet Midnight. Midnight is a Hoothoot who keeps perfect time. She likes to sit atop clocks and cluck her beak to every tick, eventually hooting on the hour.

I pet Hornet. Hornet is a Vespiquen, one of my favourite Pokemon species. Normally she exerts a lot of pressure on those around her but was very kind to me today.

I pet Poe. Poe is a Murkrow who loves to watch his trainer write. He has a little cushion set up on the desk and provides inspiration when it’s needed most.

15/17 Ice-type leader Glacia would like to battle!

It’s been a while.

Pokemon Flying Licenses:

If you want to ride a flying pokemon, pretty much every region requires you to have some type of license. Thankfully these licenses are easy to get, usually requiring just some free classes. Even children can get licensed with enough instruction. They have to make this process easy or people try flying without the proper training.

There are three main certification levels.

  1. The most common is a personal license that only allows you to ride your own pokemon that took the class with you.
  2. Then there is a general license, which allows you to ride any pokemon trained for general ridership.
  3. Finally there are professional licenses which permit riding pretty much any pokemon. Professional licenses are mostly just used by flying instructors and such.

In addition to the rider, the pokemon must also be certified. Like people, pokemon can also be certified to carry just their owner, other certified riders, or anyone in general. However pokemon can also be certified to carry cargo without a rider. All pokemon are also tested to determine their personal weight limit.

The regions vary in details, but are generally pretty similar. Galar region has some of the strictest requirements. But their Corviknight taxi system is so easy and efficient that it doesn’t matter too much.
