heavenshipped:

“i want you,” you tell your F/O. they lay your hand over their heart so you can feel it beating and respond with a soft yet meaningful, “you have me.”

In case sleep is a problem for you, just imagine your F/O sinking into the bed that you are sharing right now, under the warmth of the covers, after your delicate tugging on their arm. They got the message. Must be another difficult night…

Imagine how your legs get tangled as you pull yourself closer to their chest, seeking comfort and security. Your F/O’s chin gently rests on the top of your head, their presence reassuring you that they’re here for you.

Close your eyes, love, for I’ll be here when you open them. I can’t possibly miss the moment when I get to see those eyes that sparkle.

Imagine your F/O keeping a picture of you in their wallet and/or pocket. It’s small and maybe not your favorite of yourself, but to them it’s the most precious thing they own wherever they’d go.

Imagine them taking it out whenever they miss you terribly, their fingerstips delicately brushing over your photo, a small smile painted on their face.

Imagine cupping your F/O’s face and them immediately melting in your touch, their shoulders visibly hunching over. A low grunt or sigh with contentment escapes, even if they are the stoic type and find it impossible to admit how delighted and elated they feel in your presence. Your bright smile and loving eyes are your F/O’s forever.

♡ Imagine your f/o reassuring you about their dangerous lifestyle.

Whether they might have unsavory dealings with dangerous people, or are said dangerous person, they thought that you might have some worries being associated with them so closely. If there have been close calls in the past, they sit you down during a calm moment to check in on you, talking to you about how they didn’t mean for things to happen how they did, but they couldn’t deny they knew the possibilities of danger for you were high by mere association.

They want to protect you, and if you’re keen to it– to be able to protect yourself from the dangers their lifestyle might bring onto your doorstep. They don’t want you to get hurt, or to be forced to do something you didn’t want to. They give you options to opt out, to live a safer lifestyle away from them, but it’s never that easy, because you love them. You’re there for them, through hell and back. Nothing can change this.

You’re willingness to endure, your acceptance, it makes them feel a little less concerned seeing as you are well aware of what might reside in the future. They’ll protect you, just as much as you’re willing to protect them however you can.

♡ Imagine patching up your f/o after an altercation.

They knew to come to you for help. You may or may not ask how they got themselves in the state they were, perhaps they’re quiet and reserved about the ordeal when they first called, preferring to not discuss what happened to spare you the gruesome details. Or alternatively they tell you how everything unfolded as you clean their wounds gently, trying not to press them about their choices.

Whether it’s minor scratches, a deep gash or a gunshot wound, they knew to trust you with patching them up. Especially if they couldn’t trust immediate help depending on what they did exactly.

A certain closeness to them as you stitch them up is relieving, the silence and comfort of being near them and making sure they’re okay by your own hands. Applying bandages and checking in with them to make sure nothing is too tight or uncomfortable. It’s a time of bonding between you both, making sure they’re all cleaned up and ready to heal over the next few days. Stripping them of their bloodied clothes, running them a bath or a shower, and making sure they don’t strain themselves by moving too quickly.

Expressing how you love and care about them, and how they have to be a little more careful no matter what business they get up to. You can’t afford to lose them, they know this, and they promise you to try and be a bit more ample to preserving their body from more harm. Though they appreciate what you do for them, and how you don’t judge them for how they got such injuries in the first place. They love you for this, for being so accepting and caring, it might not be something they were used to, but you’ve changed that for the better.

♡ Imagine helping your f/o by cleaning blood from their clothes.

Perhaps they just didn’t have the time or are too exhausted after whatever they did, or maybe you just want to lend a helping hand. They appreciate it a lot, especially if they got those recognizable red stains on one of their favorite shirts, showing gratitude once they find it nicely folded and clean on their dresser. The gesture though small in theory, really shows how much you care about them.

Question for the self ship community: are there any typical fanfiction tropes (enemies to lovers, “and there was only one bed”, hurt/comfort, stuff like that) that you feel apply or would be fun for you and your f/o(s)?

Imagine your f/o coming to meet your family with you the first time. They’re nervous the ride there, their hand on your thigh reassuring themselves more than you. You think it’s adorable how they want to make a good impression.

*When you think about your f/o slipping their arms around your waist and pulling you into their chest*

Imagine your f/o waking you up softly. They press little kisses to your nose, eyelids, and cheeks. They’d push the strands of hair out of your face gently, snuggling into the crook of your neck.

“Y/N, it’s time to wake up, sweetheart.”

Imagine your f/o walking in after a long day at work and finding you on the couch asleep. You stayed up late, wanting to be awake when they got home, but your sleep got the best of you. They smiled softly, coming to your side and putting a blanket around you before kissing your temple.

Imagine your f/o noticing you being stressed. You’re sitting there, tense as you have your hands on your temples. They instantly envelop you in a hug, rubbing your back soothingly and telling you that it’s okay. They’re there now.

Imagine your f/o giving you a massage after a long day at school/work. They rub your shoulders so nicely, getting out all the tension all while giving you sweet little kisses on the back of your head.

Your f/o wants to get you a stuffie sooo bad just so see that adorable look on your face when they give it to you.

Imagine having anxiety and traveling with your f/o. They always keep a hand on yours or the small of you back, letting you know that it’s okay. They’re there. Of course, they bring lots of snacks for you, making sure you’re not hungry or thirsty. Most of all, they make you feel safe and a little less anxious.

Imagine giving your f/o a little cheek pat and they smile in your touch.

Imagine your f/o and you giving flying kisses to each other at a distance!

Imagine fixing your f/o’s loose strand of hair at a party or an event. They thank you for it and place a soft kiss on your cheek.

Imagine sweeping your f/o’s fringe aside for you to clearly see their face, especially their eyes. They smile dearly at you as you do so.

Imagine your f/o working on their desk at night. Their eyelids are going heavy as they try hard to focus on what they’re doing. You walked closer to them and they turn to you. You kiss their forehead, hoping to cheer them up somehow as they smile warmly in your embrace.

Imagine giving your f/o a gift! Imagine how their face would light up when they see what you gave them as they tuck you in a tight and warm embrace.

Imagine your f/o venting to you about something devastating that happened to them in the past. As they sob in your embrace, you place light kisses on their head. You being there for them helps them get through the trauma that was inflicted on them in the past. And they’re glad to find a person who loves them just as much.
