Morning All … I’ve decided to join the lovely makers on Folksy, who are trying to raise some money to help the Ukrainian people. I’ll be making a few pieces and donating 50% of the money raised, to the Red Cross Appeal for Ukraine. My heart is truly breaking and I have to do something, however small.

I’ve ordered some gorgeous blue and yellow Paracord, and hope to make some bracelets and keyrings. But to start the ball rolling, I’ve added this Sunflower Brooch to my Folksy shop collection ‘Stand With Ukraine’.

If you can, please pop over to Folksy and check out the other makers too, we’d really appreciate any support you can offer … Xx

Taking inspiration from my daughter, I decided to cheer myself up with some late night sewing. And … I may have gotten a little carried away and stayed up much later than I should’ve …

But I absolutely hate throwing things away, so the idea of embroidering some denim garden hoops really appealed to me.

I don’t know about you, but my family definitely get through a lot of jeans, so we always have plenty of material to reuse.

I’m starting off with a wild flower meadow, as it just makes my heart happy … but I also want to have a go at a little veggie patch …

I have so many ideas, I can’t wait to get started. So happy …

I woke up bright and early this morning, eager to get back to my sewing. I’ve nearly finished, just need to trim and back the wee hoop … I have some lovely ditsy floral fabric, that’ll look so pretty on the reverse.

I’m really excited to add this to our shop … hope it makes someone smile

Anyway wishing you a very Happy Valentines Day and sending love to all … I think it’s time for a coffee … ☕️

Oh wow … it’s been full steam ahead in our little craft shop this week and we’ve been busy posting out your items. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has ordered from us, we really do appreciate it and we hope you love your goodies when they arrive.

On a different note … I’ve just finished two more needle felt brooches and popped them in our shop … if you’d like to take a peek they’re on our website and in our Folksy shop.

We’re posting daily during the week, but orders placed at the weekend will go out on Monday.

Anyway, sending you all big hugs and positive vibes from our homestead … please stay safe, X

I’ve just finished knitting my first pair of gloves, and I’m so happy with the way they turned out. Just in time for the colder weather (and winters in Scotland can get a wee bit nippy), these fingerless gloves are so cosy and warm. I initially made a pair for myself, as I hate my fingers being covered when I’m trying to work outside. These worked so well, I thought I’d make some more and pop them in our shop. Knitted with an alpaca mixed yarn they’re practical, but also beautifully soft to wear … I love them …

Anyway, hope you’re all keeping well, and finding smiles along the way …

Getting excited for Halloween, with a new addition to our wee homestead craft shop …

I’ve spent the last week helping my daughter to needle felt these cute little pumpkins. It’s really not as easy as it looks, and I’m still not a fan of the sharp and very pointy needles …

Anyway, I was truly amazed at how much time, effort and attention to detail goes into making each and every one. My hat goes off to her and all the other needle felters out there, it’s a wonderful craft and I think you do a brilliant job …

Ps: We still have a few available if you’d like to take a peek … just follow the link in our bio or pop over to ‘henrysays’ on Etsy.
