Amber Lewis is having a very tough time in the shelter, and is patiently waiting for a family to bring her home.
She is almost 7 years old, and is a medium sized lady, weighing in around 50 pounds.
Per Amber’s previous owner, she is protective, sensitive, calm, eager to please, affectionate, and very much loves to be with people
Amber knows come, sit, peepee, eat, down, and beso (“kiss“ in Spanish) After being in the shelter, though, she will need time and patience as she re-learns her skills and re-adapts to family life.
Amber is reported to be good with all children & adults! Currently she is very scared, sad, and shut down, so we haven’t seen her affectionate side at the shelter, but we know once she has time to decompress in a home, she will show her true colors again!
She walks well on the leash and enjoys spending time outside!
⚠️ Amber was brought to ACCT after a fight she had with the other dog in the home. At this time, Amber needs to be the only pet (no cats either ) to set her up for long-term success.
As the only pet, she can fully decompress, learn that she is safe, and give all of her love to her new forever family.
Amber is available foster or adopt from ACCT!
