Wow it’s like the universe wants me to kill myself
This past weekend was Hell City in Columbus, Ohio.
I haven’t been to a tattoo convention since before I even turned 18, definitely not as exciting now that I’ve worked in a tattoo shop, and have no desire to be involved in the industry anymore. However; it was a good excuse to get tattooed, and visit with everyone I don’t get to see all the time!
My absolutely lovely friend, Frances, came from NYC to party for the weekend, so that alone was super fun! Even though she didn’t bring her flat faced cats with her ;)
Saturday we went to the bar at the convention just to hang out and take a look around some of the outside booths. I was impressed by the number of big name tattooists and painters that were in attendance, always awesome to see that, otherwise… Pretty boring evening. Although, I was recognized for my porno work twice while walking around. That’s never happened before outside of a porn related event, super weird! But, I guess that means I’m doing something right! :)
Sunday was the only day we actually went into the ticketed area of the convention, mainly for me to get tattooed. I’ve been wanting some sort of silly, semi-offensive, anti-god tattoo for quite some time now, and I decided that, Portland, OR, based Silje Hagland would be the perfect lady to do it! She turned out to be super fuckin’ cool, and did a fantastic job achieving what I was looking for! I highly recommend giving her a gander ;)
