#fun home
- An improvised musical on Broadway (my friends are working on making this happen, IDK if FLS counts because I never got to see it and I don’t know if they do a full narrative)
- Spamalot revival with Bonnie Milligan as Lady of the Lake
- Legally Blonde revival with Stephanie Styles and Dan DeLuca
- Jacob Kemp as a lead in literally anything except the things he’s too white for (I’d even see his Evan Hansen although he’s 33 and a half)
- Waitress revived AGAIN. Jenna Ushkowitz back as Dawn (after she has her baby). Kevin McHale as Ogie. Amber Riley as Becky. Ben Fankhauser as Pomatter. Ally Bonino as Jenna.
- Fun Home revival but the small Alisons are the medium Alisons this time
- Hairspray 2: Tracy’s In Her Mid Thirties And Can’t Dance Anymore Because She Fucked Up Her Achilles But Still Fights Racism
- Brandon Uranowitz as Seymour in Little Shop
- A “10 Things I Hate About You” with SJB as the guidance counselor

no offense but isn’t it great that fun home never reached a fever-pitch of populairty so off-putting that even its earliest and most loving fans turned against it, that it never exploded but still burned brightly, that it never made itself a big enough target for discourse missiles, that we were able to quietly and passionately appreciate it with awe-struck, reverent whispers, that we’re sad it’s closing on broadway but appreciate that it happened in the first place and now it’s going to be shared around the country for people who wouldn’t get a chance to see it on broadway, that it might change their lives, that sydney lucas performed “ring of keys” at the tony awards to an audience of millions around the world and that’s preserved forever, that it might have closed too soon for us but it left legacy, and that it’s a perfect musical?
does anyone else think about the fact that there’s an old butch woman in (probably) central pa who walked into a diner in the 70s, delivered a package and left, and that woman changed musical theatre history?
it’s so sad how there’s essentially no big fandom for the musical fun home on tumblr when be more chill and deh and those musicals get a ton of attention cause like…. fun home is an amazing show with great music and songs and a female lesbian protagonist and her sexuality is like a major plot point, and yet people would rather ship boys together when they’re not even explicitly stated as gay idk i wish it would get as much recognition as them
