Thor talks in his sleep a lot. When Bruce has a nightmare or just can’t get to sleep, he often stays up listening to Thor’s conversations with himself. He’ll deny it, but Bruce’s heart skips a beat whenever Thor mentions his name.
Bruce lays on Thor’s chest as he tells him tales of his battles on Asgard and his childish feuds with Loki.
Bruce tends to get a little self conscious when it comes to his body. He said it disgusts him. Thor always says that he is talking utter nonsense and that he is beautiful.
Thor has some weird fascination with Bruce’s glasses that he wears when he works. He steals them a lot and then complains about how blurry everything is.
Bruce enjoys going to Tony’s lab to work with him on projects (at least ones that aren’t murder bots) and Thor occasionally pays visits. It’s not a successful visit if Thor doesn’t break at least one piece of expensive machinery.
Thor collects Avengers memorabilia for absolutely no reason. Bruce gets frustrated with how much space it takes up, but he would never tell Thor to throw it out because he knows how happy it makes him.
Bruce reads classic novels and murder mysteries to Thor.
Because they aren’t entirely prepared to be outed as a couple yet, Thor and Bruce tell interviewers that they have partners but claim that they are women. They use these moments in interviews to explain their issues with one another that day. For example, Bruce regularly lets America know how bad his partner is at doing the dishes, but ‘she’ is pretty so he can’t be annoyed at ‘her’ for long. They rewatch the interviews in the evening and have a laugh.
There is no little spoon or big spoon. Thor takes up the whole bed and bruce sleeps on top of him.
Thor and Bruce are strangely obsessed with local marketplaces. Whenever they go abroad Bruce always points them out. Bruce buys things like pottery and small trinkets. Thor buys fruit. They both get their hair platted by local children (The kids always do Bruce’s quickly and move on to do Thor’s)
I think its a given that Nat taught Thor how to calm the hulk down when he and bruce started dating.
Bruce is homoromantic asexual and Thor is pansexual.
Thor could listen to Bruce talk about science for ages. He’s obsessed with how excited Bruce gets every time he’s asked about something.
Thor likes to make blanket forts. Bruce will often come home from work and find Thor sitting in one insisting that he joins him.
Bruce point blank refused to be left alone in the same room as Loki when Thor brought him to Asgard on holiday. Loki felt the same way.
They both have/have had depression and suffer from panic attacks a lot. Bruce prefers to be alone when he’s having a rough moment but Thor likes someone to be close. They eat chocolate and drink coffee after they’ve calmed down (usually in a blanket fort)
They babysit Clint’s younger kids sometimes when he and Laura want a night out. The house is in absolute shambles when they return (mostly due to Thor allowing Nathanial to use glitter on his drawings). Bruce often wonders why they keep getting asked to do it.
Bruce loves true crime documentaries and programmes. Thor watches them with him but almost always gets terrified that a serial killer is going to appear at their house.
With Thanos defeated, Bruce and Thor return to New Asgard. Not only does Bruce have to adjust to being human-sized again, he’s also lost the use of his right arm. Time doesn’t always heal physical wounds.
Thor looks up, spatula in hand. His long hair is pulled back in a messy bun and he’s wearing one of Bruce’s oversized t-shirts. ‘Good morning, my love. You were some time in the bathroom, are you well? I feared the steak wasn’t cooked enough yesterday…’
‘It was fine.’ He shuffles up behind him and curls his good arm around Thor’s middle. When Bruce was big, he could get one arm all the way around him. Today, he settles for resting his hand on the curve of Thor’s belly and hiding his face in his back.
‘I’m making pancakes – well, erm, trying to. Do you think your tastes will have changed?’
Bruce shrugs. ‘Only one way to find out, I guess.’
‘Ah, true. Alright, are you ready to watch me flip this?’
Bruce straightens up. ‘Do not.’
‘Oh come on, I know I got a little overexcited last time – ’
‘I had to clean batter off the ceiling! Let me flip it. Pass me the spatula?’
Thor hands it to him, then holds out the pan. Bruce has always enjoyed cooking and considers himself skilled, but he’s never flipped a pancake left-handed. How hard can it be?
Bruce slides the spatula under the sizzling pancake and pulls up sharply. Hot batter splashes down his front. ‘Shit!’
Bruce has a sex-pollen incident in the lab. Thor hurries over to “help”.
Clint accidentally overhears the whole thing.
‘Something’s happening, I feel… I dunno, weird.’ There’s a long, worrying silence. Then Bruce sighs. It’s a surprised, happy, breathy sigh. ‘It feels kinda good, actually.’
Clint pauses. ‘Bruce?’
‘Good in what way?’ Thor asks quietly.
‘Um, maybe I should get off the line.’
‘No no, stay with me. You must tell me what is happening. I must know you are safe.’
‘Well…’ He laughs shyly. ‘On the plus side, I don’t think the other guy is going to be an issue. But… let’s just say I’ve got a growing problem.’
Clint yanks out his earpiece. ‘You’ve gotta be kidding me.’ It’s 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. He wants to eat tacos.
Wednesday, 27th October: Fertility / Undercover as a couple
A wee fic tangentially based around the prompt ‘fertility’, but more based on a Tumblr post, plus some ramblings with other Bruce fans.

Ah, I see breakfast has been kindly prepared!” Thor announced far, far too loudly for the morning as he entered the kitchen. Several people groaned as his voice reverberated through their tired skulls.
“Hands off,” Wanda warned, “This is for everyone so you can wait until it’s ready. No sneaking bacon either.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” Thor said as Steve grabbed a piece from the counter and threw it for Thor to catch in one fluid motion. Thor hid it without so much as breaking a smile.
“You know she can mind-read, right?” Bruce asked as he entered the kitchen, having seen the sleight of hand. Like everyone else, he looked dishevelled and like he had only just woken up.
“Woo, there’s the loverboy!” Scott yelled. “I heard you retreated back to Thor’s last night. How long has this been going on?”
‘This is delightful,’ Thor says appreciatively. ‘Bruce, you must try this.’
There’s a spoon hovering near Bruce’s face. Without thinking, he leans over and accepts the proffered bite of ice cream – then blushes when he realises what he’s done. Thankfully, the others don’t seem to pick up on it.
Thor smiles at him expectantly. ‘What do you think?’
Aware of their stares on him, Bruce considers. It’s mint choc chip, but the longer he holds it in his mouth… ‘Oh god, why is it spicy?’ He swallows with a shudder, but the burning sensation lingers.
‘Hot sauce!’ Thor shakes the bottle at him. There’s a picture of a flaming skull on it. ‘I knew it would go with ice cream, I just had this feeling.’
Clint cackles. ‘You can’t be serious.’
‘I am. The combination is exquisite.’
Bruce’s throat is burning. ‘Can you warn me next time?’ he wheezes. He shoves a large spoon of ice cream in his mouth – and immediately gets brain freeze. ‘Argh, shit…’
This started as a joke based on that TikTok where Bruce and Steve are leaving Thor and Bucky’s rooms, respectively (although I thought it was Bruce and Bucky, so that’s who I wrote). I realised it featured Bruce wearing Thor’s clothes so I thought I’d finish it for today’s prompt. It’s not exactly centred around Thor and Bruce, more about Bruce and Bucky’s friendship, but it is about Thor and Bruce’s relationship, so I’m counting it.

“You know, you could stay the night.”
Bruce rolled over so he could prop his head up with his hand and face his lover.
“They’ll notice.”
“How?” Thor asked, trying to keep the exasperation out of his voice. They had had this conversation a number of times, all with the same response from Bruce. “Nobody notices where people emerge from in the morning and if they do, they’re too tired to care.”
“They’re going to notice and care, trust me,” Bruce said irritably, not needing to remind Thor of the time they nearly got caught making out on the roof. It wasn’t as if relationships between teammates were abnormal (Bruce even being the one to create the trend when he and Nat were a thing for a short while), but Bruce felt differently with Thor. He truly believed he had hit the jackpot and he didn’t want anything, even gentle teasing, to ruin it.
“FRIDAY, you wouldn’t ever tell, would you?” Thor called up to the ceiling.
“I would only do so in the case of dire consequences, Mr Odinson. Your secret remains safe with me.”
“Okay,” Bruce said, “But would you vouch for us if someone saw me leaving Thor’s room in the morning?”
There was a pause. “I’m afraid all lying privileges are in the hands of Mr Stark.”
And Bruce put his hand palm up in a half-shrug gesture that indicated, ‘See? What she said.’

They walk back into the bedroom, still pawing at each other, then stop. The single beds look depressingly small.
‘We could push them together,’ Thor suggests.
Bruce shakes his head. ‘Last time we tried that, I fell down the middle.’ He sighs. ‘I’m not really in the mood for any wall antics tonight.’
‘A smaller bed will have to suffice, then.’ Thor’s sly smile makes his heart speed up. ‘Come along, Bruce.’ The bed creaks ominously as he sits down. ‘Hmm. Is the other one any better?’
Bruce tests it. The creaking is even louder. ‘Not really.’
‘Then it seems our neighbours are especially unlucky tonight.’ He smirks, his blue eyes sparkling, and for a moment Bruce is caught off guard by how handsome Thor is. Sometimes it’s hard to pretend they’re just friends.
They are just friends. With the occasional hotel night together. Same thing.
Thor’s eyes rake hungrily down his body, drinking him in. It feels like a challenge, and one that Bruce is happy to rise to.
I was excited to participate in one of the pairings I have been addicted to for months, and this was supposed to be much fluffier, but my real life is in shambles right now. I hope the story can help any who are struggling to make it right now.
My favourite headcanon about Thorbruce is Thor making up nicknames for Bruce in Norwegian, so Bruce doesn’t understand and has to Google it and then he blushes so hard, because Thor is a lovesick puppy
Bruce looked up, full of disbelief and hope. He almost fell off plane. He knew, he would not die. Probably. But… no one ever caught him. And here was Thor, holding his hand. His love for that man just grew.
,,Don’t freak out, plane won’t be able to keep us in air.”
It was easier to say than to do, but Bruce tried his best. Thor pulled him back in the plane. They were so close… it would be enough for Bruce just lean in… Bruce had no time for thinking. He cupped Thor’s face in his hands and kissed him.
