In making this post I figured it out.
The coffee machine asset is pulled directly from earthbound where its called the instant revitalizing device. It’s a machine made to restore player health.
The corpses represented are all in gamzee’s possession. Implying that at some point he did try shoving them into the machine with the hope that it would revive them.
Thinking about Gamzee putting blood the life-regenerating “coffee machine”… I wonder if Gamzee murdered people in doomed timelines to save them from oblivion (because doomed timeline), since that transfers their souls over to dream bubbles? Like what Meenah did with her bomb before the Scratch wiped out her party…
But it’d be strange for those killings to be unrelated to the killing of Equius and Nepeta, so maybe that’s just a happy coincidence? Vriska’s theory that ghosts are being kept “on ice” for Lord English seems like it’d be related to Gamzee’s preservation refrigerator though…

That works for the murders and Vriska’s 88 theory (and preparing a feast for Lord English could even be construed as Gamzee taking Scratch’s assertion that they are all “suckers” literally), but it’s weird how that seems to come in conflict with his apparent determination to pluck what friends he can out of the afterlife?
Like the juxtaposition reminds me of how Condy extends the Psiioniic’s life in order to exploit him (just as Meenah’s violent salvation ends up letting her friends function as demon feed?), but unlike those, Gamzee’s competing motivations are directing people into different realities? So he feels less vulnerable to the “extension of life IS exploitation” line of critique, at least in Act 6
