There was a time we were very close. We lost touch over the past couple of years but I’ve always been in your corner. Always watching. Always rooting for you. You always had my love. Loved seeing your genius and humor flourish from a distance. So very proud of you.

Kind, loving, passionate, so fucking funny, brilliant, quick wit, breezy, pure light. ✨

I’m absolutely gutted by the news of your sudden death. This world is cruel and unfair.

I love you forever Michael Brooks.

I love you Michael. I’ll never forget you and what you taught me and how you made me feel. I will miss you for the rest of my life. Rest well.

RIP Maddie… 5/31/1986 to 3/11/2003

I’m watching Yellowjackets and I feel like Christina Ricci coulda had a three episode arc on mad men? Am I wrong?

Manga has lost a legend, whose departure much too soon has left a hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him and those he affected with his story. I’ve watched a number of tributes to Kentaro Miura in the hours since his death was announced. In one of them, I heard that fans have reported that reading the struggle of Guts in Berserk gave them the strength to combat thoughts of suicide. What greater legacy could the author of a work ask for than to help someone find the strength to endure? I’m linking one of the online tributes above. Rest in peace, Miura. Though you left your masterpiece far from finished, its legacy will endure.

REST IN PARADISE: DMX

Earl Simmons [12.18.70 - 04.09.21]

It doesn’t even matter how many parodies or comedies, or jokes there are, of the way you rap, your lyrics, or songs— that just means you’ve left a legacy; a true imprint on the world of hiphop and rap. You said you wanted to be a legend, and here you are. Your music will never be forgotten, and your tenacity, although imitated, will never be duplicated. Rest in paradise, OG. The struggle is over.
