Glass frogs hold no secrets

This glass frog (Hyalinobatrachium cf. cappellei) is a very small juvenile that was found on a small riverside branch along the Essequibo River on afternoon.
CurrentlyGuyana has six species of glass frogs recorded for the country, and many of those look quite similar to each other. This image shows clearly why glass frogs get their name, but is also a way to make species identification possible.
The underside gives a clear view as to what color the bones are (typically either white or green) and whether certain organs such the heart are visible, all important diagnostic characteristics.

Mount Roraima is a two billion year old tabletop mountain at the border of Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. The summit is completely surrounded by 400 metre tall cliffs, and there is an almost constant rain on the plateau that has carved unique formations into the rocks.

I think it’s important to allow your curiosity to lead you. It boils down to the same as following your passion, doesn’t it? Passion stems from curiosity. In fact, it is a never ending curiosity. “What if I try a different angle; would the picture be more attention-grabbing?” “What if I added nutmeg to the spaghetti sauce; maybe the flavor would get a special twist then. Or maybe not?” It’s that endless curiosity that keeps practitioners tied up in their craft – A hunger they’re forever excited to feed.
So if you’re someone who hasn’t found his/her passion yet, I recommend you start by answering your curiosities.

representatives from The #Bahamas, #Grenada, #Jamaica, #StVincent and the #Grenadines, #Suriname and regional and international institutions met in Georgetown, #Guyana at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre on May 19 and 20,
2022 as participants in the “Agri-Investment Forum and Expo: Investing in Vision 25 by 2025”, organised by the Government of Guyana in collaboration with the CARICOM Secretariat.
The Group took the opportunity of the important and timely Forum to discuss the current grave global situation of the shortages and high prices of imported food;
the shortage and increased prices of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs; and the severe problems affecting transportation and supply.
They noted with great concern that the member states of CARICOM have been deeply impacted by these developments which have resulted in a dramatic increase in the cost of food, exposing still further the region’s food insecurity due to its vulnerability to external influences.
The Group recognized that, within CARICOM, member states have the capacity to attain a high level of #foodsecurity for the #caribbean Community as a whole, provided that urgent action is taken to establish sustainable machinery, and to adhere to the terms of the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas. NEW MUSIC @robrileynyc has been hinting to dropping new music for a few weeks now and last week he finally let the world hear it.
