“In the end, its always the same… Left alone…” She muttered and Y/n felt guilty… She didn’t know what to do but she kept thinking about Hirugami… All the reasons why she loved him pouring into her head… She looked at the lonely woman before her eyes widened
“Um, what if I said I could find you a companion right now. Ofcourse I would need your help” Y/n said and Ochako gazed at her in curiosity
“You will help me?” She said and Y/n nodded,
“Tell me what I have to do to manifest them”
Ochako raised a brow,
“Picture them as well as you can and then call out to them”
Y/n nodded, closing her eyes and the witch stood from her seat, sauntering to the concentrating girl. After a few moments, she opened her eyes and they both looked around the empty room
“Well… Where are they?”
“I-I dont know.. Maybe I didn’t do it right–”
Both of them were startled when there was a bang on the door and Y/n hid behind the witch who rolled her eyes…
“I think theyre here…”
They gazed at the door which slowly opened, to nothing but darkness. Y/n swallowed when she could hear panting, clutching onto Ochako’s kimono.
“You need to call out to them” Y/n said, standing on the tips of her toes to whisper the name into Ochako’s ear. The witch was ever so confused, she had never heard this name before…
“…Mocha?” She called out in confusion and the pants got louder, suddenly both women were startled when Mocha burst through the darkness, excitedly barking and running around the woman. Ochako’s eyes widened and Y/n laughed,
“Mocha! Its actually you!” She squealed in delight, reaching to hug the happily yipping dog. Ochako was confused but she couldn’t help but drop to her knees, slowly reaching towards the dog
“You are my companion? This beast?” She asked in disbelief and Y/n smiled,
“She is the loyalist companion you will ever have. Full of love and pureness… You’ll never feel alone again” Y/n said softly, letting Mocha go and she happily scampered towards the witch, jumping on her in delight. Ochako gasped, about to push the dog off her but Mocha kept licking her face, making the witch smile, hugging her tightly.
“I love her” She said and Y/n smiled brighter
“She loves you too, isn’t that right Mocha?” She asked the dog who barked and licked the witch again… Ochako’s eyes were filled with delight and Y/n realised the darkness outside the room was becoming brighter… Almost as if the sun was shining through… Ochako and Mocha froze, looking outside and she got up… Slowly walking towards the door… Staring at the boundary between her feet and the outside world..
“…I can go outside…” She whispered, taking a deep breath she stepped passed the door, Mocha and Y/n following behind her. Mocha barked excitedly running into the fields in front of them and Y/n eyed the witch who was in tears,
“It’s beautiful…” She whispered and Y/n rubbed her back,
“You’re free now…”
Ochako turned to Y/n clutching her hands,
“I’m sorry for making you suffer child…”
Y/n gripped her hands, “Does this mean I can go back to Sachiro?” She asked and Ochako smiled, looking at the fields ahead
“You don’t need to go back to him…” She said and Y/n’s heart almost dropped but Ochako smiled,
“Because he’s here for you.”
Her heart was pounding and she looked into the diastance and sure enough, she thought she was dreaming but he was running towards her frantically, calling out her name
“Y/n!” He yelled and she felt like she could cry, letting go off Ochako’s hands, she ran as fast as she could towards him, calling out to him
“Sachiro!”
He was panting, his heart racing when he spotted her. Both of them almost tackled one another, holding onto each other hard
“Sachiro, I missed you! How did you find me!?” She sobbed and he hushed her, kissing her hard, pecking her face
“The dream realm… I thought I lost you…” He said and she shook her head,
“The ritual hadn’t ended… I was under the judgement of the witch” She said and he raised a brow,
“Are you hurt?” He tried to search for any injuries making Y/n laugh but barks distracted him and before he could turn his body, he was pushed onto the ground
“H-hey!” He gasped feeling his face being licked, but Hirugami forze when he realised it was
“Mocha…?” He said slowly and the dog barked, panting happily. His eyes welled in tears and he hugged the dog hard
“Oh my god, I missed you so much! My baby!” He laughed and Y/n smiled, sitting with him.
“I found her someone who will take good care of her” Y/n said and he raised a brow
“What?”
“Me.”
Hirugami turned and he noticed the woman standing in front of them. Mocha barked, running towards Ochako, making her laugh when she tried to jump against her legs. Y/n and him stood up and he realised who she was, he shielded Y/n
“Please don’t hurt her! Do whatever you want to me!” He said but Ochako just raised a brow, smirking
“My, my Y/n… He really is the protective one” She chuckled, confusing Hirugami who looked at Y/n. She laughed hugging Hirugami, nodding
“Told you! That’s how much he loves me!”
“Whats going on?” Hirugami said
Ochako laughed, shaking her head
“Its between us women… Come here boy” She said and he swallowed, Ochako raised her hand above his head, chanting something and he gasped feeling something pulling out of his chest…
“The curse ends here…” Ochako said, crushing the black mass that had accumulated in her palm. Hirugami and Y/n were shocked,
“I-Its over?” She said and Ochako nodded, watching the couple laugh and cry out in disbelief, hugging each other
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Y/n chanted and Ochako blushed, waving her hand…
“As much as I would love to chat, you both cannot stay here any longer. The night is about to end and you will be stuck here… Its time for you both to wake up.” She said and Hirugami held Y/n’s hand tightly, looking at her
“Its time to go home my love” he said softly and she nodded,
“I’m ready” She whispered.
Ochako stepped aside, pointing to the door of her house
“You can leave through there” She said and the couple nodded, walking towards the door. However, before they stepped inside, Y/n turned to Ochako and Mocha. Hirugami’s eyes widened when she let go of his hand to quickly run to the woman, startling her when she wrapped her arms around her, hugging her hard
“Thank you so much Ochako… I promise I will never forget you” She said and Ochako smiled, patting Y/n’s back. Y/n froze when Ochako put her hand on Y/n’s side, chanting something under her breath before letting Y/n go
“This is to show my gratitude for giving me Mocha… Goodbye Y/n, may you and Sachiro live a happy life…”
Y/n grinned, about to turn around but Ochako gripped her hand, quickly whispering into the girl’s ear, making her eyes widen. She looked at Ochako once but the witch pushed her towards Hirugami
“Goodbye!” She laughed and Mocha barked, Y/n ran back to him, hugging him once more before they both walked through the door.
Everything went dark and it took a few moments before Y/n’s eyes opened, adjusting to the setting above her… The early morning sun was rising and slowly she recognised she was back in Hirugami’s room, her heart racing… She turned only to freeze because he was looking at her gently
“Sachiro…” She whispered and gripped her hand, kissing it softly… She scooted closer to him, kissing him hard and they held their breath. Minutes passed but nothing happened, she didn’t feel like her energy was being sucked nor did he feel insatiable… All they felt was love… It felt normal and so natural… Pulling away, she looked at him and he, her… Smiles creeping on their faces, they sat up hugging one another
“I cant believe its over” He whispered and she hugged him harder
“I love you so much!” She said and he laughed, kissing her temple
“I love you even more… I’m so happy its you…” He whispered pecking her lips, “You’re the only one for me”
Her eyes lidded, smiling shyly, “Me too, you’re mine” She cooed, and he sighed in bliss, rubbing his hands on her hips, feeling her skin… He hummed, his hand rubbing her side
“Y/n… Your scar…” He muttered and she raised a brow, looking at her hip, gasping
“Its gone!”
Y/n suddenly remembered when Ochako pulled her back…
“She removed it…” Y/n whispered, feeling emotional… Hirugami kissed her cheek, hushing her
“That means we really did lift the curse… Its all thanks to you…” He said and she laughed, leaning back comfortably in his arms
“Now that we are free… What is the first thing we should do!? Shall we go on a date!? We can finally hold hands!” She laughed in happiness making him chuckle. Hirugami grinned, his hands squeezing her breasts, making her freeze
“Sachiro…” She muttered shyly but he could only grin wider and she caught onto his cues…
“But it’s so early!”
He hummed, pushing her onto the futon below him, licking his lips cheekily
“Now that we’re free, I’m going to take my time making love to you all day… We can hold hands while we do it” He said and she felt shy, covering her face
“O-Okay…” She whispered and he chuckled, planting kisses all over her face, making her laugh… However he stopped kissing her and she was confused raising a brow at his expression
“Honey?” She asked him, watching him blush from the nickname and he cleared his throat
“I’m just curious but what did Ochako-san say to you before we left? You looked shocked” He said and Y/n’s eyes widened remembering, she just burst into a smile, gripping the back of his head
“Its between us women…” She whispered cheekily before kissing him hard. Parting from his lips, she stroked his confused face, grinning
“Hehe, you’ll find out soon enough!” She said, wrapping her arms around his neck
“Now come on Sachiro, have your fill” She cooed making his eyes lid and he rolled on top of her,
“You seriously make me feel like a glutton” He purred before he captured her lips once more.
Her eyes stared blankly at the scene in front of her…
Just grassy fields stretched out while she stood in the middle of nowhere. She had no expression, listening to the distance Moo’s of the cattle grazing in the fields.
“Baa!”
She squeaked when a goat had bleated loudly before chewing at the end of her skirt
“Oh, don’t do that please!” Y/n squealed, trying to tug her skirt from its mouth. It was a war and finally with one more tug she was free from the goat’s confines only to slip backwards, gasping. Before she could topple onto her back, two hands held her hips, keeping her steady.
“Seriously? I left you alone for 2 minutes…” Hirugami muttered and she tilted her head to look up at him
“I-I didn’t do anything!” She whined and he raised a brow
“You get humped by dogs, make phallic latte art and now you get attacked by goats… What’s next?” He asked in amusement making her cheeks heat up
“…It’s not funny… and my latte art has gotten much better! Admit it!”
He rubbed the back of his neck, “Just a little… But I don’t think you should attempt more giraffes or elephants…”
Before she could argue, someone had called out to them and she stood straight, bowing with Hirugami
“Good afternoon Sakuraba-san” He said and the old woman patted his fluffy hair
“Good to see you Sachiro-kun, its been a while. I’m sorry for making you come all the way here …” She muttered, before locking eyes onto Y/n, raising a brow
“Oh my… Are you a vet too? I haven’t seen you before” Sakuraba-san said and Y/n smiled shyly
“I’m not a vet but the receptionist at the clinic! L/n Y/n, it’s a pleasure to meet you Sakuraba-san”
Sakuraba eyed the girl, “Oh, I was wondering… You’re dressed too prettily… Usually the vets come in their uniforms but today, you both aren’t” She muttered and Y/n stilled, usnsure of what to say
“It was our day off” He answered and Sakuraba raised a brow
“I feel bad for making you come all the way here on your day off. I understand why you came Sachiro…” She turned to Y/n, “But why did my sister send you on a day off?”
“Your sister?” She asked and Sakuraba smiled, suddenly she looked a little familiar to Y/n
“This is Obachan’s sister”
Her eyes widened and she realised that this lady did resemble Aunty but the gears in Y/n’s head began grinding,
She turned to the older woman “…So Sachiro and you are related?” She asked and they nodded
Hirugami and the older woman chuckled, “I’m just wondering but why would my sister send your receptionist on her day off with you and not another vet?”
Hirugami and Y/n were out of words. She didn’t know what to say and she looked at him for help. Hirugami was suddenly timidly, but he cleared his throat
“Miss Y/n and I are seeing each other… We were actually about to go on a date before this…” He answered and she could feel her cheeks burning when the lady looked shocked
“Oh… I see… So you’re Sachiro’s girlfriend?” She asked and Y/n nodded
“Yes…”
“You’re quite… energetic…” She hinted and the couple was flustered. Y/n realised that even Aunty’s sister knew about the curse…
“Um…” She muttered and Hirugami coughed, distracting Sakuraba
“Okay! We’re here now, what seems to be the problem?” He asked and Sakuraba frowned, remembering why they had come all the way to her farm
“Oh yes, follow me” She said, leading them through the farm. Y/n was impressed, admiring the lush scenery as they wandered about. She realised they were being led towards a barn, now coming closer to the door, in immense anticipation
“I’m not sure what to do Sachiro-kun” Sakuraba sighed, leading them inside. Y/n’s head lifted and she thought they were going towards the pen however the older woman diverted and pointed.
“Here’s my little miracle” She said and Y/n’s bottom lip jutted
“Awe…” She cooed, when Sakuraba unlatched the gate, letting Hirugami and her come face to face with a little lamb, who was happily bleating, coming towards the girl
“He’s so cute!” She squealed, about to reach out to the animal but she stopped, looking at her boyfriend
“Can I pet him?” She asked and he nodded, smiling
“In a moment, first we need to find out the problem with him…” Turning to Sakuraba, he inquired about what was wrong and she sighed,
“He’s been rejected by his mother after birth… It’s been eight weeks and I’m worried because he hasn’t been weaning from her milk…”
Hirugami frowned, “Oh… That maybe a problem… What do you feed him?”
“Milk replacer through a bottle, mostly… He likes that” She said and he nodded, while Y/n was confused
“But if he’s getting milk replacer, shouldn’t it be okay?” She asked him and he shook his head
“Not really… Without his mother’s milk, it means he hasn’t been getting any anti-bodies and can be vulnerable to diseases… He’s still really young and he hasn’t been exposed yet because Sakuraba-san’s separated him from the rest…”
“But he can’t live a life like this… I’ve grown so fond of him, I can’t let anything happen to him” The old woman muttered and Y/n felt sad, getting on her knees to sweetly hug the little lamb. Hirugami felt his heart warm, looking at the genuine concern on her face… His cheeks flushing, when she looked at him with her own delicate lamb eyes…
“Oh Sachiro, what can we do?” She asked and he crouched down, petting the baby in her arms
“Well… First I need to ask, are there any Ewes that have given birth recently?” He asked and the old woman nodded,
“Yes, one had delivered just three weeks ago…”
“Perfect…” He muttered and Y/n glanced at him,
“Are we going to make him wean off her to get the anti-bodies?” She asked and he shook his head,
“Not exactly… We’re going to be doing a blood transfusion.” He answered and both women’s brows furrowed,
“A transfusion? Why?”
Hirugami shrugged, “This is actually the quickest way to get anti-bodies into his system directly. Since she’s just delivered and producing fresh milk, it means the anti-bodies she’s carrying are stronger. If we do a transfusion, this little guy won’t have to worry about getting sick” He answered
“Oh, that’s a relief!”
Hirugami stood up and she set the lamb down, standing up as well
“Can you lead me to the flock?” He asked and the old woman nodded, leading them outside. She went towards another pen, and Y/n could spot the flock of sheep, grazing calmly while their own lambs weaned off them. Aunty stopped by the gate, pointing to one sheep
“There she is…”
They both glanced at it and he nodded,
“So how do we coax her to come out here?” He asked and she just chuckled,
“Well Sachiro… I’m no longer fast enough… but catching her is what you have to do.”
The couple raised their brows, “Um… Sachiro has to run around after sheep?” She asked, trying not to laugh and he sighed,
“Great…” He muttered, looking at the flock… Sighing, he slipped his jacket off, handing it to Y/n before he unlatched the gate. Y/n and Sakuraba watched in amusement, while he slowly stalked towards the sheep but almost immediately, they all fled from him, making him curse when he began chasing her around… Y/n was highly amused, slipping giggles watching him struggle… (AN: I must admit. I watch a lot of Bondi Vet on Youtube and got my inspo from there…)
Sakuraba glanced at her grinning, “In total honesty, I just wanted to see him struggle for my own amusement. There’s a much simpler solution. Do you want to help him?” She asked and Y/n nodded,
“By all means!”
Hirugami was trying to approach the ewe again,
“Come here… I’m not going to hurt you…” He muttered, approaching her closely,
‘I just need your blood…’
But it was like she read his mind, immediately dashing away before he could catch her and he growled,
“Ah damnit!”
He sighed, this was so not working…
“Sachiro, I caught her!” He heard a chirpy voice call, making him turn around…
“Seriously!?” He groaned when Y/n stood on the other side of the pen, a bucket off feed in her hands where the ewe he was so desperate to catch had her head stuck in, as she ate away. Approaching the sheep from behind, he quickly gripped her, pulling the animal in his arms while she bleated loudly
Quickly taking her from the pen, Hirugami and the rest, brought her inside the barn, setting her down
“You played a dirty trick on me…” He muttered to the women that laughed,
“I got a lot of funny videos” Y/n grinned and he rolled his eyes…
“I’m so happy for you…”
Y/n just smiled and he went back into his serious mode
“Y/n, will you pass my medical bag? While I set everything up, can you try and relax her with some feed?” He asked and she nodded, grabbing the bag, handing it to him before she followed his instructions, distracting the ewe.
In an hour, they all felt relief, letting the ewe back outside while Hirugami held up a filled bag with blood
“Great, now in a little while, we are going to have to start the transfusion with the little one” He said and Y/n looked at the sweet lamb, feeling her heart tug
“I’ll hold him during the transfusion… Poor baby’s going to be scared if he’s on his own” She said and he patted the top off her head, looking at her warmly
“That’s really considerate of you”
She blushed, saying it was nothing and he just smiled more before he sighed,
“Sachiro… It seems to me that you’re getting tired…” Sakuraba said and he grit his teeth,
“I’m fine… Don’t worry, we’ll just get this transfusion over and done with, and I’ll deal with that later”
Sakuraba glanced at Y/n who was looking at him in concern,
“… I will go make some tea…” She muttered, nodding to him before she walked outside the barn.
Y/n approached him, gripping his arm
“Are you alright Sachrio?” She asked him and he nodded,
“I’m fine, don’t worry…”
She furrowed her brows, “If you need energy, just tell me…” She muttered and he shook his head
“I-I don't…” He said and she nodded,
“Okay…” She muttered, bending on her knees to divert her attention to the lamb, he looked at her hunched form, before sighing, crouching next to her
“Y/n… Are you mad at me?” He asked and she furrowed her brows, looking at him
“Why would I be?” She asked and his shoulders slightly drooped…
“We were supposed to go on a date today but I cancelled it because of this…” He muttered, feeling bad…
“You look so damn pretty too…” He mumbled, making her cheeks heat up… She was glad he noticed, she had taken the time last night to really decide on what she would wear.
“I’m not upset… We’ve gone on so many dates now! And this is your job, I would feel guilty knowing this little one would only be suffering at the expense of our happiness… I’m having a lot of fun with you. I got to see some of your uncool sides today…” She giggled and he blushed,
“…and I get to see your cute side… You’re adorable…” He muttered making her flush, holding onto the lamb, cradling it in her lap, trying to focus on it.
He smirked, his hand patting the top of her head
“Little Miss Y/n” He teased, trying to peek into her eyes
“Yeah?” She mumbled, looking into them but he was just looking at her warmly
“I’m feeling a little tired…” He hinted and she swallowed when his hand cupped her cheek,
“Mind if I indulge?” He asked and she nodded, lidding her eyes as she leaned closer to his lips
“Never…” She muttered and he hummed, slowly locking his lips with hers. She inhaled, her hand gripping the back of his neck, holding him close. Before it could get squished between the couple, the lamb fled from her lap but they both weren’t bothered. He held her even closer, his tongue swiping her bottom lip making her mewl.
Rubbing it softly with hers, she sighed feeling the energy from her slowly leave… It wasn’t a massive amount but before he could take any more, he pulled away, catching his breath
“Are you okay?” He asked and she nodded, kissing his cheek softly
“I’m perfectly alright” She muttered and he caressed her face, nuzzling her cheek
“You can nap on the way back to the city. You’ll feel refreshed, okay?” He asked and she nodded,
“Sounds good, Sachiro”
“Ahem–”
Both their heads snapped and they met with an amused Sakuraba who was holding a tray…
“My… My… You seem to be energised Sachiro…” She muttered with a smirk, setting the tray down. Y/n scrambled off him, in utter embarrassment and he tried not to be flustered
“I feel better now… Thanks Y/n” He smiled and Sakuraba raised a brow,
“Does Y/n-chan… know?” She asked and he nodded,
“Yes, I told Y/n the truth when we were upfront about our feelings.”
Sakuraba was a little shocked, turning to the girl
“You’ve broken the curse?” She asked but they shook their heads
“We haven’t…” Y/n answered
Sakuraba raised a brow, they were together but the curse wasn’t broken… She was now suspicious of the couple’s feelings but she turned her attention to the lamb
“Shall we get his treatment started?” She asked and they nodded, getting up to prepare the transfusion which went without a hitch. Y/n held the lamb and they napped while the transfusion happed. She caught up on her tiredness while Hirugami and Sakuraba sat outside, drinking tea
“How long have you been together?” She asked and he hummed,
“We have been dating for half a year now.”
Sakuraba frowned
“Sachiro, that’s a long time… You still need to feed off her energy in the dream realm!?” She asked and he nodded, “Unfortunately, yes… It’s the safest option we have…” He said. She sipped her tea, remaining cool and collected
“… And what about physically?”
He wasn’t embarrassed talking to his aunt and grandmother about this… They knew everything and guided him when he realised he had been cursed. It was a secret within their family and Hirugami had met some relatives that had broken their curses.
“Y/n’s energy still depletes from just a simple kiss in reality, we can touch each other’s skin for a little longer but it still drains her…”
Sakuraba nodded,
“You’re putting yourself in harm’s way just to make sure she’s safe. Do you really think taking minute amounts of energy will satiate you, Sachiro? You’re going to get ill. If not her, then at least feed off another”
His brows furrowed in frustration, he knew that. Deep inside, he could feel himself slowly starting to wither. But he refused to seduce her with his powers. He refused to go to another source.
He’d rather die.
“I’d never do that to her.” He answered and Sakuraba nodded,
“You must really love her…” She muttered and he hummed,
“I do…” There was a silence before he groaned, his face in his hands
“What do I do Aunty? How do I end this shitty curse? I can’t live like this any longer… I don’t understand we have confessed our feelings for each other many times now… Why isn’t the curse broken?”
The older woman rubbed his back, feeling sympathy
“There is a reason for that but there is also a way to perhaps get rid of the curse… But it’s risky for her…”
He shook his head,
“I refuse to do anything that will hurt her”
“–I’ll do it”
Hirugami stilled, turning to see Y/n walk out of the ajar barn door, rubbing her arm
“Y/n…”
She swallowed, approaching Sakuraba-san, bowing
“Sakuraba-san, if you know a way that can help us. Please tell me, I’ll do anything to help Sachiro. I don’t care if its dangerous”
He stood up, gripping her shoulders
“Don’t be stupid! I can’t let you do that…”
Y/n gripped his shirt, her eyes welling in tears
“Sachiro, I just want us to love each other without suffering… Its been six months! I-I want to hold your hand for more than five minutes! I don’t want to time our kisses! I just want to be able to hold you without you fearing that you’ll kill me every time we get too close” She wept and he froze, biting his lip. He couldn’t stand to see those tears, it broke his heart. She was right, he was so afraid of draining her, he would reject her advances to go further all in fear of killing her.
He held her against him, resting his chin on top of her head, feeling weak… His eyes met with Sakuraba who was now standing up, giving him a look.
“Me too Y/n, I also want to end our suffering…”
Y/n parted from him and he wiped her tears gently, giving her a warm look before his brows furrowed with turmoil.
“Sakuraba-san, what do we have to do?” He asked, turning to the older woman.
She smiled at the couple before turning her back,
“Follow me…”
~ 1 Week Later ~
Y/n’s heart was pounding, she tried to remain calm as Aunty brushed her hair… It was an intense moment for Y/n, she felt like a character in a horror series… Never in her life did she expect to take part in a ritual…
It was almost like this entire thing was a vivid dream… Sakuraba began chanting something and Y/n began thinking back to last week.
Sakuraba set the tattered scroll in front of the couple. Y/n couldn’t really read the characters properly but the older woman calmly began explaining.
“… Although men in your bloodline have broken the curse just by confessing their true feelings to their partners. You however, just like your grandfather, are direct descendants of your ancestor that double crossed the witch… What you don’t know is that… Obachan and I happen to be descendants of the witch.” She explained to Hirugami and Y/n were startled.
“B-But… Doesn’t the witch hate Hirugami’s bloodline? Why would–”
“Because my sister fell in love with his grandfather… In total honesty, the curse was centuries ago and we didn’t really think it existed because it sounded like an old wife’s tale… But when she met your grandfather, she realised the curse was real indeed. It’s funny how the world works, the witch’s own descendants find love in a man that had been suffering from the curse… We ended up spending years studying the history of the witch. Our grandmother helped my sister with her curse. However, I continued to study the witch’s history in order to set your bloodline free once and for all.”
Hirugami was blown away from this hidden information… He knew his grandfather had broken his curse but he never knew his grandmother was related to the witch…
“Why didn’t Obachan tell me that we could break the curse?” He asked and Sakuraba fell silent before she sighed,
“…Because this ritual is not a breeze in the park.” She answered, making Y/n furrow her brows
“What do we have to do?”
“When the moon is at its peak, a cursed couple can perform the Nocturnal Ceremony. It will test your boundaries and if your love for one another is true… However, you can only attempt it once. Are you really ready for this? There’s a full moon in a week…” She asked them and Y/n gripped his hand, nodding when they looked sat one another for a moment.
“Tell us what we have to do”
She broke from her thoughts when Sakuraba sat in front of her.
“Y/n, can you really do this?” She asked the young girl. Aunty looked at them, feeling pensive
“It’s okay if you cannot. You both still have time”
Y/n shook her head, “I cannot let him suffer any longer. I can do this” She whispered, and the two women just gave sympathetic nods
“This ritual will tie your souls forever if it works.” Aunty said and Y/n nodded. Although it wasn’t a legal wedding ceremony. This ritual was sort of like they were eloping. It was an attempt to combine their energies together, however judgement came their way.
“I’m ready” She whispered. Sakuraba lifted a necklace in her hands, showing Y/n the intricate silver vial hanging from it.
“This belonged to the witch. Remember to keep it on during the ritual, it will prevent your energy from depleting too fast. This vial contains her blood, you must only use two drops. One for Sachiro and one for you. Once it has been consumed, you will be put to trial.”
While Sakuraba fastened the necklace around her neck, letting the vial sit above her breasts. They fixed her hair before stepping back and she stood up. She was nervous all of a sudden but the two women stood up
“The moon will be at its peak soon. We have to leave now, we cannot interfere in this” Aunty said and Y/n swallowed. Sakuraba placed a hand on her shoulder,
“We believe in you both” She said softly and Y/n nodded, Aunty stroked her cheek,
“Goodluck Y/n…”
“Thank you…” She muttered.
She waited a while after they had left. Now the silence was deafening and she could hear her heart pounding. She wasn’t supposed to enter his room until the right moment. She waited in total nervousness, trying to calm herself down until she could suddenly smell the sweet scent emitting in the air.
Inhaling the sweet scent, it felt like it was getting stronger, her mind feeling like it was going into a haze. She slowly stood up, approaching the door. Her feet wandered down the dark hallway till it was met with the dim light of flickering candles, peaking from under his door. She took another deep breath, feeling her skin raise because it was strong now…
She mind was breezy, pushing the door open where he was waiting. He was waiting on top of the futon, the heavy incense burning in the room. He locked his eyes with hers and she realised they were glowing bright…
“Sachiro” She purred making him smirk, opening his arms. The incense was hitting them both hard, heightening their senses. Sakuraba had informed them the incense was going to unhinge them. Hirugami would completely succumb to his inner demon.
“Come here” He cooed and she felt like she was in another dream again, her legs carrying her forward.
