Hoshiumi Korai: I was worried about being able to draw him in a cool way, but I think he came out looking pretty cool.
Hirugami Sachirou: That scene where he slammed his hand on the wall was inspired by one of my old [work colleague] senpais, who told this story of their senpai from a time when they were in school. [so many possessives in this sentence]
Hakuba Gao: A blessed person. Not only in his physique, but also in the people around him.
Bessho Kazuyoshi: With Kamomedai having such strong blocking, for him to be one of the starting middles as a first-year is pretty amazing.

Despite the chill in the air, Y/n hugged her arms waiting in the car for him. She was ever so thankful that he turned the heating on for her while he finished up inside the clinic. Her heart had been racing throughout the night, things had escalated way more than she had anticipated.
She knew he was going to come to the clinic today and it was a risky move but she pretended to fall asleep in the rest room. What she didn’t except was him actually taking the bait. She was awake throughout when he began stroking her skin, making her heat up under his touch.
However, all she could think about was the curse he had to live with. How would they break it? She wanted him to live a normal life without him fearing about losing out on love. They both liked each other right now but what if they weren’t meant to be? Y/n was still utterly confused about the situation, it felt like a dream itself. Her boyfriend wasn’t human but at the same time he was?
She was never one to believe in myths and curses, but he was living proof. The way she felt a little drained just by a kiss and then how they met so vividly in her dreams… Her face slowly began heating up from the warm air blasting from the vents, she suddenly began remembering that one dream from the beach…
The first time they had actually gotten far with their ministrations on the beach…

Before she could second guess her decision, she was startled when the car door swung open and Hirugami quickly slid into the driver’s seat. He let out a sigh on content, pulling his gloves off before warming his hands in front of the heater
“Ah, so much better! Sorry about making you wait but the patient’s owner had one too many questions…” He muttered, turning to look at her but she just nodded, shyly
“Its alright… I’m pretty warm and its cosy in here”
Hirugami could sense the timidness wafting off her. She looked anywhere but into his eyes. Cocking his head to the side, his lips curled into a soft smile, letting his hand slide over hers
“Hey… Look at me…” He said softly and she bit her lip for a moment before turning to meet eyes with him.
“Shall I take you home?” He asked and she swallowed.
“Why?” She asked and he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck
“I think I was too eager earlier… I didn’t consider your feelings… You’re probably nervous, Y/n… And it’s okay, we don’t have to do anything you don’t want to” He said softly, rubbing the back of her hand. She peered at his eyes, they seemed normal at this point and she knew he was being genuine and considerate about her.
She knew how gentle he would be based on her dreams, in actually there was nothing she was afraid about except that it was her first time… His hand was still soothing her, with small brushes circling the back of her hand, making her feel calmer…
Her heart was pounding in her chest but she swallowed the lump forming in her throat. She had to break this curse, somehow. If she ran away now, he would only suffer… She turned her hand, lacing her fingers with them, squeezing his hand before giving him a shy smile
“Sachiro, I want to stay with you tonight…” She whispered making his heart beat pick up.
“Are you sure?” He asked and she nodded,
“I’m sure…”
He stared at her for a few moments, trying to pick up any hints of hesitation but he saw none. He turned the ignition on slowly driving out of the parking lot… Throughout the drive, his free hand remained on her thigh, fingers mindlessly tapping and stroking her leg while he concentrated on the road… Although it was an innocent gesture on his part, she was beginning to feel aroused by it… She noticed the size of his hand, the way his fingers stretched over her thigh…
She couldn’t help but grip his hand again, her fingers feeling his ever so slowly. He tried his best to concentrate on the road but her touches were tender. He inhaled, holding his breath when her fingers slid to his wrist, caressing the small vein which pulsed under the pads of her fingers.
He slowly increased the speed of his car, startling her. Staring at him in wide eyes, he felt embarrassed because now his intentions seemed obvious but Hirugami calmed when he heard her soft laughter making him break out in a small smile.
In a matter of moments, they were parked in the driveway, getting out of his car. She was about to follow him but she squealed when her legs lifted from the ground

She clung onto him while he hoisted her in his arms, calmly walking up the steps to his apartment. He didn’t even set her down when he unlocked his front door, barging into his dark apartment, not giving her a second to look around before he walked into his bedroom
“I-I haven’t taken my shoes off!” Her words were cut off by a squeak when Hirugami dropped her on top of his bed.
“Let me…” He cooed
His hands gripped her legs, lifting then in the air, slowly sliding her pumps off her feet, dropping them onto the floor with a thud. He was about to kiss her ankle but she panicked, accidently kicking him away, startling him
“Whoa!”
Y/n gasped, sitting up, profusely apologising
“I-I’m sorry… It’s just… C-Could I take shower first?” She was horribly embarrassed, but she had been on her feet all day… Although she liked working at the clinic, touching and cleaning animals all day long didn’t make her feel so fresh right now… It was her first time having sex and she wanted to feel clean…
Hirugami pouted, his hair raking through his hair before chuckling, stroking her face in amusement
“Alright… I’ll prepare the bath for you” He muttered, standing up. She sighed in relief, watching him retreat, now looking around his room. Everything was so neat and tidy, she wasn’t surprised to see so many medical books in his shelf… Her hands felt his soft bedding under her and she suddenly realised this was the second time she had ever been inside another man’s room…
The darkness was suddenly getting to her, she could hear the tub filling but uneasement filled her… She had to reach towards the lamp on his bedside table, turning it on, letting his room illuminate, showing her just how ordinary it was… Her eyes flickered to another photo of Hirugami with Mocha, both of them looking gleefully at the camera… The uneasiness washed away and she began feeling better again, although the nerves were building in her stomach. Butterflies pattering against her lining, when she heard the water stop running, his voice calling her
“Babe, its ready” His voice echoed and she swallowed, getting up from the warm bed, making her way inside the bright room. Hiruagmi was sitting on the edge of the tub, his hand feeling the water, nodding to himself.
“Its at the right temperature, its not too hot but itll warm you up good.”
“Thanks…” She mumbled, feeling awkward but he got up, standing in front of her. Y/n noticed that he had changed, and his hair was wet, she wondered if she took a shower while the bath was running but her thoughts were cut short when his hands lay themselves on her hips.
She still didn’t dare to look at his face.
His hands cupped the sides of her face, tilting her chin towards him but she still was too shy to look into his eyes
“Look at me, sweetheart” He cooed.
Her eyes glanced towards him and she realised his irises was mildly glowing but the nerves slowly washed away, calming her breathing. His thumbs stroked her face, before one traced her lips. He leaned closer, his eyes closing, kissing her gently.
She held her breath, her hands cupping over his and she tried to kiss him harder but before she could, he pulled away, smiling at her
“I’m afraid its unsafe to take a bath if you’re very tired…” He hinted at her energy depleting even through a kiss… Y/n bit her lip, nodding
“R-Right… I wont be too long…”

He left her in the bathroom, closing the door behind him. She had to sit herself at the edge of the tub for a moment, her legs feeling like jelly again because of him… She realised he used his powers minutely to ease her nervousness. Her fingers slowly unbuttoned her clothes, folding them neatly on the counter. Her eyes darted to her hip, looking at the scar… It reminded her about the first time she was alone with another man in his room… Trying to shake the darks thoughts away, she sunk herself in the water, preparing for the night ahead…
Hirugami was worried as he waited for her. Something didn’t seem right, he wasn’t sure if it was because she was a virgin that she was super nervous… But he also couldn’t help but wonder if this would end up in heartbreak for him, he had no idea if she was really the one who could break him out of this wretched curse… He liked her so much that he knew it would hurt if he ended up hurting her instead. It also hurt him because he knew that it meant she wasn’t his true love…
But it couldn’t be possible… She was the only one who remembered the dreams they shared… It never happened with anyone else… The moments he shared with her were unlike any other…

His ears picked up the sound of the door slowly opening. He leaned back, looking at her meekly walking out of the bathroom, hugging the towel around her body. Hirugami eyed the small beads of water dotting her skin, thin rivulets dripping down her shoulders from the ends of her wet locks, slowly seeping into the towel wrapped tightly around her.
“Y/n, come here” He called to her softly. It took her a few seconds before she slowly walked in front of it.
“Um…” She didn’t know what to say really but he gripped her wrist, pulling her to sit on his lap. She clasped her legs together, holding the end of her towel over her thighs, feeling abashed but he didn’t touch her body, just keeping his hand on her hip, holding her steady
“Somethings been troubling you since we got here… Will you tell me what it is?”
Y/n swallowed, but his fingers touched her jaw, moving her to look at him
“Sachiro… This is the second time I’ve been in a man’s room…” She muttered, watching his brow lift. Sighing, her shoulders drooped,
“Are you feeling scared?” He asked and she nodded,
“Kind of but its not because of you… Its just…” She started, looking at her fingers. She didn’t like talking about it but she didn’t want him to misunderstand her emotions
“Um… I was invited to a house party by a friend in my study group. It was fine and I was having fun, but my friend’s roommate took a liking to me. I didn’t mind, really and I thought he was pretty decent… But when the party got busier, he claimed he wasn’t feeling well and asked if I could help him to his room… I was so naïve, I thought he would get hurt climbing the stairs in his state, so I went with him…”
Hirugami was silent, he definitely didn’t like the way it was going, just listening to her.
“We reached his room and he asked me to come inside but I refused because… I had never been in a man’s room before… But he said he was feeling dizzy and made me feel guilty… I went inside with them, helping him get on his bed…”
“Um… Rest well and feel better…” Y/n muttered, listening to the muffled music blasting from the other side of the door, while she tried dumping the groaning guy onto the bed. Right before she could take a step back, he was quick to grab onto her wrist, immediately forcing her onto the bed under him
“What are you doing!?” She shrieked, trying to push him off but he held her down, his lips nipping at her neck. She struggled, palms pressing against his chest trying to shove him off her
“Get off me!”
He just chuckled, his palm covering her mouth, gripping onto her jaw tight
“Shut up… Don’t act like you weren’t interested, you were practically all over me tonight” He muttered, making her feel queasy. She was never interested in that way… She was being extra polite because he was her friend’s roommate…
Her heart was pounding and she tried to fight him off her making him irritated
“Stop moving otherwise I’m going to get really angry” He warned her, his grip tightening on her jaw, making tears prick in her eyes. She was afraid, freezing and he let go, feeling satisfied by her submission
“Much better”
“P-Please just let me go, I won’t tell anyone… I-I don’t want this” She whimpered but he chuckled,
“Shut up and just lie there like the pretty little thing you are and while I take good care of you” he cooed, stroking her cheek. She felt defeated, closing her eyes tight when his hands began groping at her body… The fear was real, bile rising up her stomach when she felt his hand on her thigh,
“Stop pretending like you don’t want it, you’re dressed like a fucking slut and you’re telling me to stop? Fucking tease” He growled… She gasped when his hand rudely shoved itself between her legs, her heart nearly ripped out of her chest
“No!” She shrieked, bending her knee into his lower stomach making him groan but she pushed him off her, speeding towards the door
“Don’t you fucking dare!” He yelled, getting up just as fast. Before she could reach the door, he quickly shoved her making her yell when she fell, her dress ripped when the side of her body gliding against the corner of his glass table making her sob in pain
“Fuck!” He yelled, panicking while she lay on her side, clutching her bleeding wound, crying as the blood seeped through
It only took a minute or two before people barged into the room, seeing what had happened. Y/n’s friend was horrified, quickly running towards her while others restrained the offender…
“…That’s how you got the scar…” He said and she nodded,
“I was lucky the hospital was nearby but I had to get a lot of stitches…” She explained… He was really upset, it made him furious at how someone could do that to her… He knew how helpful her nature was, and the situation that man had guilted her into… He now understood why she was feeling so hesitant. He wiped away the tears from her eyes, resting his forehead against hers
“Thank you for telling me, it was really brave of you…” He sighed, wrapping his arms around her
“I’m so sorry you had to go through that… It makes me so angry that someone hurt you… I want to kill him” He muttered bitterly making her bite her lip
“Sachiro, I’m just nervous because I began remembering that night… I’m not scared of you because you’re not him and you won’t hurt me… I know I’m safe but I also don’t want you to see the scar again… I hate it so much… It’s so ugly and its stuck with me forever” She felt like crying again but he hushed her
“The scar isn’t ugly, it’s the memory attached with it that is… I’ve seen it before and it doesn’t affect how beautiful you are, I promise…” He admitted, slowly setting her down on the mattress before he stood up, going towards his dresser. She felt bad when he took out a spare shirt, setting them by her before he turned around
“Put this on”
Confused, she still followed his instructions, draping the large shirt on her and he turned, grabbing the towel, drying her hair for her.
“What are you doing?” She asked but he just untucked the duvet, sliding her under it before he lay down next to her
“Aren’t we…?” She tried insinuating but he shook his head, his arm sliding under her body, pulling her against him
“I don’t think you’re ready, Y/n… I was being too hasty, its more than enough just to sleep next to you like this. I don’t want to take advantage of your vulnerability right now… It will mean more to me when you know you’re ready”
Her eyes softened and she felt safe, she wrapped her arms around him, hiding her face against his warm chest
“Thank you Sachiro… I’m sorry I chickened out…” She muttered but he hushed her, his hand rubbing her back
“Don’t apologise ever, take your time… I don’t want to rush anything with you”
“But the curse?” She said and he shrugged,
“Three years is still a long time… Let’s just take this time to get along, we’ve only been meeting in our dreams. Let’s build a relationship in reality too” He suggested and she realised he was right, because their dreams had no limits, it was a different environment.
“What if your energy weakens and you get ill? I don’t want you to go to someone else” She was concerned but he laughed,
“I wouldn’t dare go to someone else… I think we can get away with just kissing for now. That wont completely drain you and it should keep me satisfied if we do it a few times everyday”
Her eyes widened, feeling her cheeks heat up
“Everyday!? T-That’s a lot of kissing…”
He grinned, pecking her lips surprising her

Y/n stared into his eyes, they weren’t glowing this time. In fact, he just seemed like a sincere person and she realised that she had been so comfortable with him that she was no longer afraid of being alone in his room with him. He had managed to distract her well and she appreciated it. The urge for sex was no longer there, instead she relished in this pure moment between them, feeling her affection rise for him
“Are you feeling a little hungry right now?” She asked shyly making him smirk, lifting her chin to look at him, leaning closer to her
“I’m just a little peckish” He cooed, kissing her softly. She held her breath, her gripped tightening against him and she slowly succumbed to his kiss. Her heart raced and she slowly lost herself in this kiss. However as time went on, her eyes began feeling heavy and he parted from her warm lips, taking note of her sleepy face
“Damn… I got a little carried away…” He groaned but he soothed the top of her head, while she grumbled
“Sachiro… ‘M tired but I want to do it some more…” She whined and he smiled.
“Me too sweetheart but any further than this and you’ll feel like a zombie tomorrow… Just sleep for now…” He cooed and she nodded, closing her eyes. She felt his lips press against her forehead, softly whispering
Y/n sighed; it had been weeks since she last saw him. He stopped coming after his hospital shifts, letting the rotation go between other vets. She couldn’t forget the way he coldly brushed her off, saying they weren’t friends…
She had to keep reminding herself that the intimate moments they shared were merely just her dreams. No matter how much she thought about him, she didn’t dream about him again…
But maybe it was good this way. She couldn’t be sure what the Hirugami was like, she was attaching herself to the Hirugami she had dreamt over… It was strange, she knew how intense that dream was but it felt like she had also forgotten about it completely. ‘Just forget about him’ She told herself but then she groaned, remembering she still had his jacket… She was supposed to return it that night but sleep had over taken her again
Sighing, she gazed at the door which had opened, and her heart sped up, sitting straight she anticipated his arrival only to be disappointed when a delivery man walked in. Plastering on a fake smile, she greeted him
“Good evening”
He nodded before he dropped a few envelopes on her desk, giving her the register to sign. She signed it before skimming through the mail, noticing it was addressed to Hirugami. Letting out another sigh, she stood up. It was strange walking to his office and not seeing him sit at his desk.
Stacking the envelopes, she placed them on his table but her eyes glanced at some photos he had on his desk. It was just of his family she guessed but she didn’t a double take on one photo, picking it up
‘Its that beach…’ She thought, looking at a teenaged Hirugami hugging Mocha… She recognised the hut in the background… Her head began hurting and she vividly began remembering the details
“I’ve dreamt about you two days in a row now”
He raised a brow, looking amused, “You’ll be seeing a lot of me in your dreams. It’s the only place where we can be alone and you’ll be safe” He answered.
She grunted, trying to remember a bit more. His eyes flashed into her mind,
His forehead pressed against hers and he sighed, “The real me will only disappoint you… You won’t fall for the real me…” He muttered against her lips, “But you can love me all you want here… I’ll fulfil all your desires, my precious”
Y/n stood still, the moment had disappeared, but she remembered clearly it now… She sat at his desk, baffled. How could she be dreaming about his memories? Was she even dreaming about them?
It’s strange because she learnt so much about him in her dreams than she did in person… She began thinking about how energetic she had become again…

She turned on her computer screen, her fingers going to the employee folders saved on the desktop. She scrolled until she found his profile, taking note of his address…
‘It’s a little far…’
She contemplated whether to stop at his apartment after work. It would be quite late at night and she wasn’t sure if he would be sleeping or not. She never exchanged numbers with him but she needed answers…

“I couldn’t do it…” She groaned, laying in her bed. She really chickened out when she left the clinic, she made up any excuse to not show up at his apartment
“…It would’ve been creepy if I randomly showed up to his place… I mean what would I even say…” She began animatedly waving her hands about, a silly accent slipping from her lips
“‘Heyyy Sachiro! Sorry for showing up in the middle of the night but I wanted to return your jacket… Oh! And I keep having sex dreams about you… Ha ha! Weird right!? Please don’t fire me.’”
Y/n sighed, dropping her arms. She couldn’t feel any ounce of tiredness in her body, she lay there listening to the silence in her room, the ringing in her ears felt grew louder as seconds went by. She just couldn’t understand what was happening, she was certain this wasn’t normal. It couldn’t be… How could she dream about the things that happened in his life?
Why were their conversations always so intimate?
In the past, she never remembered her dreams so vividly… Her dreams with Hirugami tried their best to escape her mind but she refused to forget them. He spoke to her so openly, it was something her imagination couldn’t conjure on its own.

Pulling the warm duvet off her, she slowly sat up…
Now that she thought about it more… His eyes at that time, they held a look which made her realise he had a deeper meaning.
“I need to get to the bottom of this…” She whispered
~A Few Nights Later~
Hirugami tried to ignore the light headedness he felt when he groggily walked through the clinic. He knew he oculdnt avoid her forever, he had to go back to work… His nerves were on edge when he glanced at the reception area but he felt relief when he realised the desk was empty.
However in the back of his mind, he was a little worried about her absence… Walking towards his office, he quickly peeped into the kitchen but there was no one there. Puzzled, he quietly checked the rest area where he held his breath.
She was fast asleep on the bed, her chest rising with each gentle breath she took. Swallowing, he could smell the lingering sweetness drifting from her body, coaxing him inside.
Slowly, he closed the door behind him. Holding his breath while he watched her…
‘Hungry…’ His mind muttered, making him breath harder. With slow creeping steps, he made his way to the bed, carefully sitting by the edge of the bed, watching her face. She looked so calm and serene, her lips pursed just a little. Holding his breath when her brows furrowed but she settled almost instantly.
His mouth began salivating and he had to swallow, feeling his heart race when her scent got stronger…
‘Just a little taste…’
Hirugami clutched his head, trying to get rid of the dark thoughts.
Y/n stirred, making him still again. Her hand going under her shirt to scratch her side before she settled down again. But her shirt had risen and he spotted the scar along her side. His fingers carefully glided against it…
“What happened here?” He asked her and she swallowed, who knew even in her dreams it would show up.
“I-It’s nothing…” She answered, but he gripped her face, his glowing eyes looking into hers
“I-I was attacked after a party …” She answered and he frowned, making her smile.
“Its alright… I’m over it now but the scar is hideous, I know… If only I knew how to get rid of it in my dreams, but I guess it will follow me everywhere I go …” She said softly.
The dark thoughts began fading away and he could only concentrate and wonder what kind of monster would lay a hand on someone as precious as her…
“If I could have made it disappear in reality, I would’ve done it in a heartbeat…” He muttered, trailing up the scar, slowly and unintentionally pushing her shirt up just until his fingers hit the bottom of her bra cup.
‘Do it’
Gasping, his eyes widened and he quickly retracted his hand, pulling her shirt down. His heart was pounding and his head began to spin. Cursing,
“What the fuck am I doing…?” He whispered to himself before he got up in lightening speed, making a bee line to his office.
Closing the door behind him, he tried to control his breathing. His mind was screaming at him to take her. The lewd thoughts began haunting him… He couldn’t do that to her. He didn’t want to hurt her
‘Just enter her dreams…She’s still sleeping…’
His head stopped spinning and he felt his breath calming… His hunger was becoming insatiable now, it was hard to avoid. No matter how hard he tried to stay away from her, it was killing him…
She was quick to catch on but he had erased her memories… If he entered her dreams again, she wouldn’t remember…
He settled himself on his office chair, hesitation filling him but he couldn’t take it anymore. Closing his eyes, he let himself enter the dark abyss in his head, trying his best to concentrate on her rising energy.
‘Y/n…’ He kept thinking about her, trying to find her in the abyss. But no matter how much he concentrated, he couldn’t find her.
Hirugami’s eyes opened and he realised,

He knew he had to leave, he needed to find some random person to prey on and satiate his needs before she hurt her. Gritting his teeth, he reached for his jacket, getting out of his seat in a haste. “I’ll hold him during the transfusion… Poor baby’s going to be scared if he’s on his own” She said and he patted the top off her head, looking at her warmly
“That’s really considerate of you”
She blushed, saying it was nothing and he just smiled more before he sighed,
“Sachiro… It seems to me that you’re getting tired…” Sakuraba said and he grit his teeth,
“I’m fine… Don’t worry, we’ll just get this transfusion over and done with, and I’ll deal with that later”
Sakuraba glanced at Y/n who was looking at him in concern,
“… I will go make some tea…” She muttered, nodding to him before she walked outside the barn.
Y/n approached him, gripping his arm
“Are you alright Sachrio?” She asked him and he nodded,
“I’m fine, don’t worry…”
She furrowed her brows, “If you need energy, just tell me…” She muttered and he shook his head
“I-I don't…” He said and she nodded,
“Okay…” She muttered, bending on her knees to divert her attention to the lamb, he looked at her hunched form, before sighing, crouching next to her
“Y/n… Are you mad at me?” He asked and she furrowed her brows, looking at him
“Why would I be?” She asked and his shoulders slightly drooped…
“We were supposed to go on a date today but I cancelled it because of this…” He muttered, feeling bad…
“You look so damn pretty too…” He mumbled, making her cheeks heat up… She was glad he noticed, she had taken the time last night to really decide on what she would wear.
“I’m not upset… We’ve gone on so many dates now! And this is your job, I would feel guilty knowing this little one would only be suffering at the expense of our happiness… I’m having a lot of fun with you. I got to see some of your uncool sides today…” She giggled and he blushed,
“…and I get to see your cute side… You’re adorable…” He muttered making her flush, holding onto the lamb, cradling it in her lap, trying to focus on it.
He smirked, his hand patting the top of her head
“Little Miss Y/n” He teased, trying to peek into her eyes
“Yeah?” She mumbled, looking into them but he was just looking at her warmly
“I’m feeling a little tired…” He hinted and she swallowed when his hand cupped her cheek,
“Mind if I indulge?” He asked and she nodded, lidding her eyes as she leaned closer to his lips
“Never…” She muttered and he hummed, slowly locking his lips with hers. She inhaled, her hand gripping the back of his neck, holding him close. Before it could get squished between the couple, the lamb fled from her lap but they both weren’t bothered. He held her even closer, his tongue swiping her bottom lip making her mewl.
Rubbing it softly with hers, she sighed feeling the energy from her slowly leave… It wasn’t a massive amount but before he could take any more, he pulled away, catching his breath
“Are you okay?” He asked and she nodded, kissing his cheek softly
“I’m perfectly alright” She muttered and he caressed her face, nuzzling her cheek
“You can nap on the way back to the city. You’ll feel refreshed, okay?” He asked and she nodded,
“Sounds good, Sachiro”
“Ahem–”
Both their heads snapped and they met with an amused Sakuraba who was holding a tray…
“My… My… You seem to be energised Sachiro…” She muttered with a smirk, setting the tray down. Y/n scrambled off him, in utter embarrassment and he tried not to be flustered
“I feel better now… Thanks Y/n” He smiled and Sakuraba raised a brow,
“Does Y/n-chan… know?” She asked and he nodded,
“Yes, I told Y/n the truth when we were upfront about our feelings.”
Sakuraba was a little shocked, turning to the girl
“You’ve broken the curse?” She asked but they shook their heads
“We haven’t…” Y/n answered
Sakuraba raised a brow, they were together but the curse wasn’t broken… She was now suspicious of the couple’s feelings but she turned her attention to the lamb
“Shall we get his treatment started?” She asked and they nodded, getting up to prepare the transfusion which went without a hitch. Y/n held the lamb and they napped while the transfusion happed. She caught up on her tiredness while Hirugami and Sakuraba sat outside, drinking tea
“How long have you been together?” She asked and he hummed,
“We have been dating for half a year now.”
Sakuraba frowned
“Sachiro, that’s a long time… You still need to feed off her energy in the dream realm!?” She asked and he nodded, “Unfortunately, yes… It’s the safest option we have…” He said. She sipped her tea, remaining cool and collected
“… And what about physically?”
He wasn’t embarrassed talking to his aunt and grandmother about this… They knew everything and guided him when he realised he had been cursed. It was a secret within their family and Hirugami had met some relatives that had broken their curses.
“Y/n’s energy still depletes from just a simple kiss in reality, we can touch each other’s skin for a little longer but it still drains her…”
Sakuraba nodded,
“You’re putting yourself in harm’s way just to make sure she’s safe. Do you really think taking minute amounts of energy will satiate you, Sachiro? You’re going to get ill. If not her, then at least feed off another”
His brows furrowed in frustration, he knew that. Deep inside, he could feel himself slowly starting to wither. But he refused to seduce her with his powers. He refused to go to another source.
He’d rather die.
“I’d never do that to her.” He answered and Sakuraba nodded,
“You must really love her…” She muttered and he hummed,
“I do…” There was a silence before he groaned, his face in his hands
“What do I do Aunty? How do I end this shitty curse? I can’t live like this any longer… I don’t understand we have confessed our feelings for each other many times now… Why isn’t the curse broken?”
The older woman rubbed his back, feeling sympathy
“There is a reason for that but there is also a way to perhaps get rid of the curse… But it’s risky for her…”
He shook his head,
“I refuse to do anything that will hurt her”
“–I’ll do it”
Hirugami stilled, turning to see Y/n walk out of the ajar barn door, rubbing her arm
“Y/n…”
She swallowed, approaching Sakuraba-san, bowing
“Sakuraba-san, if you know a way that can help us. Please tell me, I’ll do anything to help Sachiro. I don’t care if its dangerous”
He stood up, gripping her shoulders
“Don’t be stupid! I can’t let you do that…”
Y/n gripped his shirt, her eyes welling in tears
“Sachiro, I just want us to love each other without suffering… Its been six months! I-I want to hold your hand for more than five minutes! I don’t want to time our kisses! I just want to be able to hold you without you fearing that you’ll kill me every time we get too close” She wept and he froze, biting his lip. He couldn’t stand to see those tears, it broke his heart. She was right, he was so afraid of draining her, he would reject her advances to go further all in fear of killing her.
He held her against him, resting his chin on top of her head, feeling weak… His eyes met with Sakuraba who was now standing up, giving him a look.
“Me too Y/n, I also want to end our suffering…”
Y/n parted from him and he wiped her tears gently, giving her a warm look before his brows furrowed with turmoil.
“Sakuraba-san, what do we have to do?” He asked, turning to the older woman.
She smiled at the couple before turning her back,
“Follow me…”
~ 1 Week Later ~
Y/n’s heart was pounding, she tried to remain calm as Aunty brushed her hair… It was an intense moment for Y/n, she felt like a character in a horror series… Never in her life did she expect to take part in a ritual…
It was almost like this entire thing was a vivid dream… Sakuraba began chanting something and Y/n began thinking back to last week.
Sakuraba set the tattered scroll in front of the couple. Y/n couldn’t really read the characters properly but the older woman calmly began explaining.
“… Although men in your bloodline have broken the curse just by confessing their true feelings to their partners. You however, just like your grandfather, are direct descendants of your ancestor that double crossed the witch… What you don’t know is that… Obachan and I happen to be descendants of the witch.” She explained to Hirugami and Y/n were startled.
“B-But… Doesn’t the witch hate Hirugami’s bloodline? Why would–”
“Because my sister fell in love with his grandfather… In total honesty, the curse was centuries ago and we didn’t really think it existed because it sounded like an old wife’s tale… But when she met your grandfather, she realised the curse was real indeed. It’s funny how the world works, the witch’s own descendants find love in a man that had been suffering from the curse… We ended up spending years studying the history of the witch. Our grandmother helped my sister with her curse. However, I continued to study the witch’s history in order to set your bloodline free once and for all.”
Hirugami was blown away from this hidden information… He knew his grandfather had broken his curse but he never knew his grandmother was related to the witch…
“Why didn’t Obachan tell me that we could break the curse?” He asked and Sakuraba fell silent before she sighed,
“…Because this ritual is not a breeze in the park.” She answered, making Y/n furrow her brows
“What do we have to do?”
“When the moon is at its peak, a cursed couple can perform the Nocturnal Ceremony. It will test your boundaries and if your love for one another is true… However, you can only attempt it once. Are you really ready for this? There’s a full moon in a week…” She asked them and Y/n gripped his hand, nodding when they looked sat one another for a moment.
“Tell us what we have to do”
She broke from her thoughts when Sakuraba sat in front of her.
“Y/n, can you really do this?” She asked the young girl. Aunty looked at them, feeling pensive
“It’s okay if you cannot. You both still have time”
Y/n shook her head, “I cannot let him suffer any longer. I can do this” She whispered, and the two women just gave sympathetic nods
“This ritual will tie your souls forever if it works.” Aunty said and Y/n nodded. Although it wasn’t a legal wedding ceremony. This ritual was sort of like they were eloping. It was an attempt to combine their energies together, however judgement came their way.
“I’m ready” She whispered. Sakuraba lifted a necklace in her hands, showing Y/n the intricate silver vial hanging from it.
“This belonged to the witch. Remember to keep it on during the ritual, it will prevent your energy from depleting too fast. This vial contains her blood, you must only use two drops. One for Sachiro and one for you. Once it has been consumed, you will be put to trial.”
While Sakuraba fastened the necklace around her neck, letting the vial sit above her breasts. They fixed her hair before stepping back and she stood up. She was nervous all of a sudden but the two women stood up
“The moon will be at its peak soon. We have to leave now, we cannot interfere in this” Aunty said and Y/n swallowed. Sakuraba placed a hand on her shoulder,
“We believe in you both” She said softly and Y/n nodded, Aunty stroked her cheek,
“Goodluck Y/n…”
“Thank you…” She muttered.
She waited a while after they had left. Now the silence was deafening and she could hear her heart pounding. She wasn’t supposed to enter his room until the right moment. She waited in total nervousness, trying to calm herself down until she could suddenly smell the sweet scent emitting in the air.
Inhaling the sweet scent, it felt like it was getting stronger, her mind feeling like it was going into a haze. She slowly stood up, approaching the door. Her feet wandered down the dark hallway till it was met with the dim light of flickering candles, peaking from under his door. She took another deep breath, feeling her skin raise because it was strong now…
She mind was breezy, pushing the door open where he was waiting. He was waiting on top of the futon, the heavy incense burning in the room. He locked his eyes with hers and she realised they were glowing bright…
“Sachiro” She purred making him smirk, opening his arms. The incense was hitting them both hard, heightening their senses. Sakuraba had informed them the incense was going to unhinge them. Hirugami would completely succumb to his inner demon.
“Come here” He cooed and she felt like she was in another dream again, her legs carrying her forward.

“Wake up.” Someone whispered
Y/n’s eyes slowly opened, and she took a minute to adjust to her surroundings. The sun was setting, and she stretched, letting out a long yawn before she gazed at the pink and orange hues, reflecting against the calm sea. Letting out a dreamy sigh, she hugged her knees, perched on a lounger
“How beautiful…” She beamed; she loved the ocean. She really felt like she was in paradise…
Her eyes widened and she stood up
“Wait, where am I!?”
Confusion filled her and she looked at the very short dress she was wearing, it made her feel like a beachy Marilyn Monroe…
“I don’t own this…?”
She had no idea where she was, the beach looked secluded as well… There was nobody around her… Turning around, she realised she was sitting in the terrace of a beach hut. Looking inside the entryway, she noticed it was quiet. Slowly treading through the patio, she looked around but there was no one.
“Have I been kidnapped?”
But what kidnapper in their right mind would take her to a fancy secluded beach…? Unless she was going to be murdered… Oh god, dread filled her and she knew she had to get out before trouble arose. Quickly rushing towards the entrance, she let out an oompfwhen she collied into someone.
“Hey, where are you going in such a rush?”
His arms wrapped around her waist and she gasped, clutching his weird tropical themed shirt
“Hirugami-san!? Where are we!? I think we’ve been kidnapped!” She panicked and he raised a brow, letting out a laugh confusing her…
“Why are you so calm?” She asked him and he rubbed the back of his neck,
“Why are you being so formal with me? We’re on our honeymoon, Y/n…”
Her eyes almost went wide as dinner plates,
“H-Honeymoon…!?”
She squeaked and he nodded, gripping her hand, kissing it. She noticed the wedding bangs on their fingers and was about to freak out because she swore, she fell asleep in her bed…
Her eyes widened again, and she let out a laugh,
“Ohhh! This is another one of my wild dreams, isn’t it?” She laughed, of course it was…
A lot of it felt real but she remembered she was super tired after work and she crashed onto her bed when Hirugami-san had dropped to her home. He must have been on her mind before she crashed, which is why she was probably having this crazy dream.
She stopped laughing when his hands gripped her waist, pulling her close to him.
“Hirugami?” She asked and he clicked his tongue,
“You’re really going to call me by my last name?”
She shook her head, right this was a dream, and she might as well play her part… She gave him a sweet look, looking into his adoring brown eyes, feeling herself swoon a bit.
“Sorry Sachiro… Force of habit… So, where are we?” She asked him and he held her hand, walking out onto the terrace again. It surprised her, the setting sun remained in place, leaving everything in a glowy haze
“My paradise…” He answered, before looking at her. She blushed when he smiled at her,
“Its beautiful!” She beamed and he flushed…
Barks were heard and her ears pricked making her turn her head to see a large fluffy dog dash towards them, jumping at her excitedly. She laughed in delight, bending down to pat and nuzzle the sweet little angel
“Oh my! You’re so precious!” She cooed, rubbing the dog’s belly, watching her pant in delight. Hirugami watched her in content as she continued loving the friendly creature
“Mocha” He cooed, bending down to ruffle Mocha’s fur, making her bark happily, licking his cheek
“She’s my best girl” He cooed again, and they watched Mocha dash down the hut stairs, running around the beach. Y/n grinned,
“Can’t argue there! She’s your dog?”
He nodded, “I’ve had her since I was a child. She’s been with me through everything” He muttered, watching Mocha run away from the crashing waves onto the shore.
“Is she the reason you became a vet?”
He nodded, glancing at Y/n before he stood up, extending his hand to her. She gripped it, easily lifting up on her feet and he led her to a hammock, she gasped when he pulled her against him, lying on the hammock, letting it sway softly. She felt embarrassed but she kept reminding herself this was a dream. She rested her head against his chest, enjoying the breeze and the warmth. It was the perfect temperature.
“I really wish I didn’t have to wake up…” She muttered and he swallowed,
“All good things have to come to an end eventually” He answered, making her look at his face. He was surprised when she cupped his face, observing his features
“Y/n?” He asked and she hummed, “You really are so handsome… Even at the clinic, I’m left in a fluster around you… But you make me feel safe” She answered but she saw the pensive look in his eyes, baffling her
“Sachiro?” She asked, making him look into her eyes but he smiled again, cupping her face
“You’re beautiful… I find it hard to be around you too… You make me feel like a glutton…”
She raised a brow, “A glutton?”
He hummed, grazing her cheeks softly and she watched his brown eyes radiate slowly…
“You make me feels starved…” He cooed,
The scenery above her began changing and she clung onto him when she felt like they both were falling. Letting out a gasp when her back hit something soft, she opened her eyes only to find herself trapped under him
The sounds of the ocean could still be heard but the rustling of the chiffon white curtains that hung above the canopy of the bed got her attention… She sat up and she realised they were no longer in the beach house… The sun had almost set but sea still glittering… Somehow Hirugami and her had teleported on the beach but they were nestled on a bed.
The chiffon cloth danced in the breeze but she didn’t feel cold, catching glimpses of the secluded beach through the gaps. Her eyes drifted back to him but her breath hitched.
“Sachiro?” She asked but his hands gripped hers, intertwining his fingers with hers, pressing her hands into the utterly soft mattress. She seriously felt like she was sinking in
“Everytime I see you…” He purred, the tip of his nose rubbing against hers, making her bite her lip, “I just want to eat you up… I spent years building up my self-control, but the moment I saw you… You did something to me…”
“Mmh…”A soft grunt let her lips when he began kissing her throat. Her hands gripped onto his tighter, feeling his gentle caresses against her skin
“Will you let me satiate my hunger, Y/n?” He muttered, his hand now trailing up the side of her thigh, teasingly going under her dress. There it was, that sensual tone he used which made her knees go weak. She found her reasoning leaving her. All she wanted was him
She nodded shyly, averting her gaze “S-Since it’s a dream… It won’t hurt right?” She asked and he chuckled, kissing her cheek
“I’ll make sure you only feel pleasure…”
It was still… She couldn’t hear the waves; she couldn’t hear the birds… All she could hear was her own heart beating.
This dream felt so real… It scared her…
But it was only because she was with him that she sat up and he leaned back, watching her as her hands went to the back of her neck, untying the straps that held her dress against her front. As soon as her bare breasts were revealed, she looked into his eyes, feeling flustered.
“Be gentle” She whispered, and he smiled, his fingers tugging his own shirt off. Hirugami held her shoulders, slowly laying her back down and she tried to calm her beating heart. “You’re gorgeous…” He sighed, letting his hands feel her warm skin under them. She shyly turned her head, unable to feed on his compliments. She really wished she didn’t have to wake up

He looked at her, his brows softening. She stilled when his palm slid over the scar, eyes widening when the skin under it began glowing
“W-What?”
He moved his palm and she was shocked, her hand feeling her skin
“It’s gone…?”
Hirugami watched her shock-stricken face but he gripped her hips
“Only for now… If I could get rid of your insecurities in real life, I would do it in a heartbeat”
She cupped his faced, smiling as she shook her head
“You’re so kind…”
“Am I?” He purred, his hands sliding over hers before he pulled them away from his face.
“I’ve dreamt about you two days in a row now”
He raised a brow, looking amused, “You’ll be seeing a lot of me in your dreams. It’s the only place where we can be alone and you’ll be safe” He answered, she stood on her knees, wraps wrapping around his neck as he pulled her on top of his body, his hands wrapping her legs around his waist
“I’m afraid Sachiro” She whispered, puzzling him
“Afraid of me?” He asked but she shook her head
“I’m afraid I’ll fall in love with you… because of these dreams…”
Hirugami froze when her fingers caressed his wavy bangs, her face was flushed and this time he felt like her eyes were sending him into a daze.
His forehead pressed against hers and he sighed, “The real me will only disappoint you… You won’t fall for the real me…” He muttered against her lips, “But you can love me all you want here… I’ll fulfil all your desires, my precious”
“Take me now, Sachiro… I’m scared I’m going to wake up” She whispered, and he gave her a soft smile, gripping her chin
“Just enjoy the moment for now”
She hummed when he began kissing her neck, gently pushing her back onto the bed

Y/n’s eyes opened, and she sat up. The disappointment lingered when she realised, she was in her own bedroom.
“Nooo” She whined, letting out a groan of frustration.
She gripped her face in embarrassment, that dream was so good…
Getting up, she realised her shorts were soaked, groaning when she caught sight of her bedsheets… Why did she keep having intense dreams about him? Never in her life was she bothered about sex and now all of a sudden, she kept dreaming of her boss…
It felt so real… His caresses, the way she sucked her skin… His kisses… It all felt so real…
She walked past her mirror, stopping to lift her shirt but she was met with the deep scar, her fingers running over the marks left by the stitches…
“It really was a dream…” She sighed in disappointment. Glancing at the clock, she gasped.
She had slept the entire day!? This was insane, she was rambling around to throw strip her bedding off, trying to change it in a haste before she took her own clothes off, rushing to try the washing machine on before running to the bathroom in a naked panic
“How could I sleep for so long!?”
She was shocked, she naturally rose early… It was so unlike her to sleep over 8 hours… and today she had slept for almost 15. She had just an hour left before she had to be in the clinic. Cursing to herself, she sped through her day routine…

“I made it!” She panted, clutching her knees as she tried catching her breath. The daytime receptionist just laughed, carefully lifting herself up while she rubbed her swollen belly
“You shouldn’t worry Y/n! I can wait a little overtime if you run late. It’s really no issue”
Y/n grinned, fixing her clothes
“No way, you sit here for hours! I cant make you wait longer, you should be relaxing! Not too long left before the babies get here” She cooed, and her friend laughed,
“It sounds cute but carrying twins? Not fun… At all…” She sounded tired, and Y/n felt bad, bowing
“I’m sorry for making you wait”
The other receptionist ruffled her hair, “Don’t beat yourself up, I’m already grateful you accepted switching shifts with me.”
Y/n stood up, smiling. She wondered if he was already at the office?”
“Um, is Hirugami-san here?” Y/n asked and she shook her head,
“Not yet…”
Y/n hummed, she wanted to ask her friend if she knew more about him. She worked here for way longer than Y/n, she had to know something
“So… What’s he like in the clinic?” She asked and the receptionist hummed,
“He keeps to himself mostly. He’s a gentleman but we’ve never engaged in much conversation. To be honest, he always looks worn out and too grumpy to talk…”
Y/n raised a brow, its true he looked annoyed and tired in the beginning but he seemed friendly and talked to her quite often…
“How would you get off after the nightshift? Did the boss ever drop you home?”
The receptionist looked puzzled,
“No, he’s never dropped me… In fact, he stays in the clinic after I leave. My husband usually picks me up” She answered and Y/n kept silent, the door buzzed and the receptionist lit up,
She smiled and Y/n turned catching sight of a friendly looking man, waving towards the receptionist. She beamed,
“Speak of the devil” To her husband and the door opened behind the couple. Y/n made eye contact with those mystical brown eyes that haunted her. Her cheeks flushed when Hirugami nodded to her,
“Good evening Miss Y/n. I hope you’re feeling better?” He asked and she was confused. He was being so casual… Reality hit her when she realised they only shared an intimate moment in her dreams… The real Hirugami felt nothing towards her.
“Oh… Yes, thank you for taking me home again. I’m sorry for the trouble I caused” She said and he just smiled,
“It was no trouble… But please tell me you have hidden the spare key” He asked and she quickly nodded, her head
“Oh… Yes I did!” She lied, laughing it off and he raised a brow,
“Really? Then why do I have your key?” He asked and she felt embarrassed, figuring he must have opened her door last night. He slipped the key into her palm, raising his brow
“Be safe” He muttered, walking past her down the hallway. Her heart fluttered, looking back at Hirugami’s retreating figure. A hand cupped her. Shoulder, almost making her jump and the receptionist laughed,
“Have a good shift Y/n! I’ll see you soon” She chirped, and Y/n bid her farewell, watching her affectionate husband dote on her outside the clinic, doing his best to wrap her coat around her belly. She sighed in bliss,
“How wonderful…”
Taking her seat, she looked around and it wasn’t to her surprise the clinic was empty. Sighing, she rested her head on her desk. She began wondering what her future had instore for her… How long would she be working here for until she landed her dream job?
Getting up, she decided to clean up the reception room. She knew Aunty would try climbing on the step ladder to clean the shelves but at her age, it wasn’t safe. This should make it a bit easier for the older woman if Y/n took care of the harder tasks
Humming, she went to the kitchen. Her heart speeding when she walked past his office. Putting the kettle on boil,

She felt so awkward after her dream… But it wasn’t like he had an inclining… She had to be normal, she needed to stop making herself conscious. Grabbing the spare cup, she made him a mug of coffee too

She popped her head inside and he looked at her, smiling
“I was just thinking about coffee” He said softly and she blushed,

Hours passed and the other vet had left, Hirugami and him found out the pet chameleon had a large bladder stone which needed to be operated on. They had planned to send their patient to the animal hospital with Hirugami in the morning. Now Y/n found herself sitting at her desk, bored.
She wanted to go sit in his office again but she wondered if that made her look incompetent at her job. Trying to remain professional, she sat in her station just letting her mind wander back at her dream last night…

“You’re so precious” She cooed and he glanced at her, but she seemed unaware, just gazing fondly at the adorable sight.
“It wasn’t really a medical emergency but when I was throwing out the trash, I realised she was pregnant and didn’t want to leave her out in the cold… These guys were born a week ago. You can’t touch them yet, they’re too young but you seemed to be a bit dazed today… II thought this would cheer you up”

“We’re here to drop our Zeus for his surgerytomorrow” She whispered, looking at her son and then Y/n, hinting to be sensitive in front of the boy. Y/n just smiled,

Plus taking care of a pet is not an easy expense. Unplanned puppies can really hurt the pocket and some families just can’t afford it in the long run” He answered.

“I’m fine” He reassured them, walking to his office…

Time had passed and she felt the tiredness again. Letting out a long yawn, she stood up…
“Need coffee…” She groaned as if she was a zombie, treading towards the kitchen. She hummed to herself, filling her mug with hot water…
“Why am I so sleepy? I slept most of the day!” She whined to herself as she mixed the coffee beans in her mug. Once she was satisfied, she lifted her mug, turning around
