Although the original inspiration for Julian Devorak, Jeff Goldblum was not in contention for who could play him today, and by popular vote from the community, you choose Timothée Chalamet! We think you made the right choice.

What I think particular Carmen Sandiego characters favourite movie(s) are and I won’t be explaining why but I also will:

Julia: Pride & Prejudice + Sense & Sensibility exclusively watched one after the other and HATES the TV adaption of Pride & Prejudice with a PURE. BURNING. PASSION. And thinks Emma was a good try for that same vibe.

Player: Megamind and 9, claiming that they both shared the sad fate of poor timing and being for a more intelligent audience than they were marketed for.

Carmen: Nothing in particular because everything she watches never really takes her fancy and always finds a flaw in the production of the movie that ruins it for her. Due to this, she Is constantly watching new movies and never re watches the same one twice.

Gray:sigh marvel movies…

Chase: The Grand Budapest Hotel because Wes Anderson style movies are the only pure and constant mental stimulateion in his life that end with true satisfaction. And it’s a murder mystery. And it’s a great movie. And that one scene where Gustav runs away after being questioned if he was the murderer always gets him to laugh.

Ivy: The only person in history who liked Cars 2.

Zack: 2008’s Speed Racer because. Well. Saying something like Fast and Furious just doesn’t make sense for him somehow. And Spiderman 3. Only Spiderman 3.

Shadowsan: Doesn’t watch movies anymore ever since Zack showed him Barnyard :(.

Zari: Horror. And Fight Club. I feel like she’d scoff at you and say that if you don’t like it then you clearly don’t understand how it’s a ‘methphor for punching through the insulation that you put around yourself’ despite religiously eating chicken, broccoli and rice every night for dinner.

Sheena: ONLY watches Netflix movies. The idea of clicking out a DVD disc and putting it carefully into a DVD player and continuing to press 'play movie’ is disgusting to her.

Paper Star: Does not consume video media.

Brunt: Dodgeball or anything with Ryan Reynolds in it I dunno.

Cleo: Finds movies uncivilised and exclusively watches stage performances. But in a perfect world I’d say The Devil Wears Prada because Miranda Presley seems like someone she’d know in real life.

Bellum: Instagram reels.

Chief: Documentaries that you can only buy at the post office or via mail-in from the Readers Digest monthly magazine.

Another Random hc

once on a recon mission, Bruce managed to nab some of Damian’s baby pictures from the league.

So, naturally, the rest of the bats have to see this. Of course they look through the pictures on the batcave monitor while Damian is out with friends. At first, it goes great. The pictures are adorable (if a little sad sometimes), and everyone is getting a kick out of it.

The fun ends when Tim notices something.

Up until age four, Damian’s eyes were brown.

You know what fucks the most with me about Booker’s first death and how much more it hurts? Is that he died hanged as a deserter - and we know from the comics that he hung there for 3 whole days while the army was camping nearby. 3 days in the Russian cold, with his body probably stripped of wool and all the remaining clothing that the other soldiers couldn’t use (at the beginning of the Russian campaign it was warm and nice, so the soldiers discarded their clothing thinking they wouldn’t need it, which meant that the soldiers would loot dead bodies for more clothing to stay warm the further into Russia and Winter they got).

So, Booker’s practically naked (he’s not in the comics), dying over and over again for 3 whole days in the Russian cold, probably shivering as hell and unable to do anything but to prove to the others that he is indeed dead: hang there and pretend.

But you know who else got hung and couldn’t prove or pretend that they were dead?

Andromache and Quynh. Andromache and Quynh who have been alive and tried to die for MILLENIA couldn’t pretend they were dead while hanging at the end of a rope, but Booker, on his first death, apparently managed to do just that while freezing all over again, possibly dreaming of the rest of the Old Guard at the same time and wondering what the fuck is going on.

Now, I know there’s a different between a crowd of people going “these two women are being hung as witches, let’s make sure they’re dead” and starving, freezing soldiers who just want to go home after killing the deserters they caught while on the retreat from a disastrous military campaign, but I can’t help but think about exactly Booker made his first descent into immortality the very same way that got Andromache and Quynh sentenced as witches.

Did they talk about it? Did Andy dream of Booker, hanging off the noose of a make-do scaffold in ice cold Winter, and get flashbacks to this specific moment in time when her and Quynh were “executed”?

ANYWAYS, I just feel like this makes Booker’s first death even more excruciating to think about.
