I’ve always loved this movie, finally got around to reading the book by Diana Wynne Jones yesterday, and reeeally wanted an excuse to draw Sophie and Howl. So Happy Valentines everyone!

So I wanted to do something different and translate a scene from the Russian version of Howl’s moving castle! Hope you enjoy the voice acting just as much as I do.
*Бабка, бабки(babkasing., babki plur.) — rude way of saying ‘old woman’.
Бабушка, бабушки(babushkasing., babushki plur.) — neutral/polite way of saying ‘old woman’ or ‘grandmother’.
Баба, бабы(babasing., baby plur.) can refer to a grandma you already know (in this case the grandmas name is usually followed) or a woman (in a rude way).
All the nouns are feminine.

I finally finished my take on these two in modern fashion clothes, and Calcifer bag ehehhe I had to give Sophie a cute pill box hat w her decora fashion mixed w hanbok top and obi belt, and really loved drawing Howl in a happi with his classic jacket pattern omg now I want one ✨ ((Also book spoilers is somewhere in this for those that read Howl’s Moving Castle the book)))
