Howl can really be annoying most of the time, but there are just times when you can’t help but to relate to him on a ✨ spiritual level ✨. That’s what makes him such a great character, imo.

I finally finished my take on these two in modern fashion clothes, and Calcifer bag ehehhe I had to give Sophie a cute pill box hat w her decora fashion mixed w hanbok top and obi belt, and really loved drawing Howl in a happi with his classic jacket pattern omg now I want one ✨ ((Also book spoilers is somewhere in this for those that read Howl’s Moving Castle the book)))

At the end of that green lane the grass became squashy. Vast orchids sprouted under bushes. Howl and Sophie came suddenly to a steaming pool crowded with water lilies.
Ahhh my favorite dysfunctional story book couple! Alternately titled, “FFS Howl I’m reading, you of all people should know better.” But Sophie how will you form babby so quickly after marriage if you don’t at least TRY.

My Ghibli redraw for the #ghibliredrawchallenge, I warmed up the whole scene but I think it still looks similar, . Weirdly enough, Howl looks like this one kid of stranger things and I didn’t even use him as reference hahaha
