howl!mira’s room is, as yall can see, alike howl’s castle w a bit of mirabel’s influence on it
her actual bedroom is upstairs (which i will probably draw??) n is similar to her spot in the nursery
like howl’s castle, there’s another door that connects to different places (like towns, fields, etc)
mirabel is actually popular in this one town her room is connected to, which is the place where pedro n alma used to live (i took that one deleted scene of alma going outside the encanto n into a city to find mirabel as reference)
she’s known as the best seamstress by the name of mariana beatriz (and she doesn’t tell anyone else abt it lol)
like all the other rooms in casita, mirabel can change the style of her room however she wants, as well as add another ‘connection’ to a different place but it requires sol’s assistance (like howl did in that one scene of them moving)
mirabel’s room is mostly created thanks to sol’s magic w some help from casita, which makes sol, in a way, connected to the casita in that sol can appear in any fireplace but can’t “die” if that particular fire is doused. sol just goes back to the fireplace in mirabel’s room, his 'main place’
A Magical Feeling, my piece for @yoifantasyzine ! I can’t tell you guys what an honour it was to be able to be a part of this beautiful zine ;O;; this was my first time making a comic for a zine!
Okay. I know I haven’t posted any art for a while, but real life has me barely keeping my head above water - combining being a solo parent with 50 hour work weeks doesn’t leave much spare time these days. But there’s an AU Mashup challenge on the Inuyasha Fanart Corner discord this month, and because I’m looking for excuses to avoid tidying my house on my day off, I did this super fast and messy sketch instead.
I’ve always thought that the Howl/Sophie pairing fit Miroku and Sango. He’s a pretty, irredeemable flirt who runs from his problems by making more and has a magical curse that is gradually taking him over. And she’s a girl left alone to run the family business who’s lost faith in herself after being targeted by a magic user with malicious intent. Together they help fight bad guys and find themselves and each other in the process. Sounds pretty close to me.
