Take us through your workshop and what you were doing with folks who attended?
We customized some fins with some stencils.
What about the customization process did you think was super fun and accessible for folks?
I like that you can do whatever you want . There is no wrong way to customize your fin.
What type of materials did you have on-hand for folks to use for the customization?
We had stencils and paint pens.
What was the inspiration behind it?
It was somehow the art side of the fins were started with Captain Fin . It started with the fin, then we spray painted and used stencils to add some color and design to them.
Three words folks will feel after visiting the Captain Fin workshop?
Just have fun!

1956 Robert Morris’s 356 Porsche Speedster
As a leading proponent of Minimalism Robert Morris was a conceptually driven artist and thinker whose sculpture and sculptural installations of the 1960s and 1970s gravitated towards feats of industrial fabrication with commercially available materials including aluminum and steel.
Morris enlisted his sculpture assistant, Rolf Horst, to also help customize the Speedster with modifications influenced by the Porsche RS-61, including an aluminum head fairing, passenger tonneau cover, alloy seat, and alloy rear wheel spats. Morris also opted to strip the car’s body of all trim, including the removal of door handles to create a smooth body line unique to his Speedster.
For the interior, Morris installed custom elements including a blacked-out vinyl dash and diamond-tread rubber floor mats. Thus renovated, Morris drove the Speedster until 2007, when he chose to dissemble it and paint it silver, hanging the freshly painted panels on the walls of his New York studio.

Showcase of some of the many, many new customisation options added in the 100% OJ mods new update. Majority of characters now have 169 combinations (not counting balloons and partner villagers!) And around 20% have added options (or effects like Sasha, Luna and Blathers) bringing over 2000 combinations… Or 6000 combinations for patching up Stitches… :D

After a bit of a break, getting back into the Animal Crossing 100% Orange Juice mod with a bunch of clothing/section recolours to customise characters. And realising that there’s now 169 colour options for many characters!

Dash Customization
Once you’ve built a dashboard that fits your vibe, you might want to change the look and feel of your dashboard. This is helpful if you prefer a light or dark mode for your dashboard. Here’s how you can change the dashboard color palette on desktop and the mobile app.
Desktop
- Tap the human icon
- Tap “Change color palette
- Scroll through the dashboard palettes
Mobile
- Tap the human icon
- Tap the gear in the top right of your blog
- Tap “General Settings”
- Tap “Color Palette”
- Choose your palette

Welcome To Theme Garden
The Theme Garden is a place where you can browse and install hundreds of themes to your blog. There are two ways to access the Theme garden. Through your blog’s customization page and through tumblr.com/themes.
Installing a theme through the customization page allows you to preview the theme with your blog’s posts. However, there is a limited selection of themes.
There are more themes to view on tumblr.com/themes. However, you can only preview the theme with sample posts. You can always install the theme and edit it afterwards through your customization page.
Installing themes through the customization page
- Go to your blog while you’re signed in.
- Click the art palette in the top right corner.
- Click “Browse themes” on the sidebar
- Browse and sort through themes.
- When you find a theme you like, click it to preview the theme with your posts.
- Now click “Use”
- Make any edits to the theme before clicking “Save”.
Installing themes through tumblr.com/themes.
- Visittumblr.com/themes while you’re signed in. You’ll see a lot more theme options here.
- Preview a theme before installing it on your blog.
- Once you find a theme you like, click install.
