so yah this idea came up to me from a dark alley n i couldn’t ignore it bc it’s madoka frickin magica so here ya go lol and here are some mirabel magica hcs that nobody asked for but i’m going to make it everyone else’s problem! :D

mirabel, in this au crossover thingy, made a deal w kyubey when she was 14 (just like madoka, sayaka n homura ) and even tho she’s got magic now, she can’t tell her family bc her contract w kyubey said so (and also bc mira doesn’t think her fam will fully believe her, much less abuela, so she keeps her magic a secret just like the holy quintet)
dolores doesn’t know abt this bc kyubey made it so that she couldnt eavesdrop on his n mirabel’s conversation n eventual contract
mirabel’s wish was “to make the family proud of her”
her witch form is beatriz the thread witch and her nature is to fix what’s broken. with her needle fingers and endless threads, she stitches the cracks that form within her barrier whenever her minions are hurt or dead. she hopes her actions will make someone proud of her.
oscar, the thread witch’s minions, whose duty is to act. they put on plays to distract her and make her happy, even tho their lives are dependent on the flame of their candlewick tail. their deaths form cracks in her barrier and they wish they weren’t such a burden on her.
mirabel turns into a witch after she runs away post-casita’s fall. her self-hatred, guilt, n grief over losing casita dragging her to despair
her witch’s labyrinth is a huge mock-casita w a bunch of doors all around n a river in the middle of it, which looks eerily similar to the giant crack that split up original casita

She definitely starts to cry during your speech
When she goes to save the candle, you’re definitely running after her, and helping her but protecting her as well
When casita falls you cover her with your body to make sure she’s not injured
She finds you wandering the woods looking for her whilst sobbing- she was on the donkey with Abula and Bruno.
She definitely gave you a bear hug
When casita is rebuilt you hold her hand as she puts the door knob in

An Encanto redraw because I’m getting myself excited for an upcoming Disney World trip and wanted to also practice drawing backgrounds. I’m going to try to do one of these every week for awhile!
I read somewhere that in an earlier version of Encanto they were planning on having casita also be mean to Mirabel, and listen, the family casting me aside, viewing me as a failure, that I can handle… but if the fucking house starts waking me up at 5 am for shits and giggles VEAN A VER DONDE SE CONSIGUEN OTRA HIJUEPUTA CANDELA because I’m not just blowing it out I’m destroying it. This has been a psa.
luisa never stopped treating Mirabel like a toddler
like, luisa probably had to take care of mirabel when they were children and of course the 6 yo, much larger in size and gifted with strength luisa would just carry 2 yo mirabel like a new born baby whenever asked to
but thing is mirabel never really grew up for luisa, for her mira was always her small portable baby sister
so even now that mirabel is 15 when someone tells luisa to go get mirabel she just says something like “mom needs you in the kitchen” and pick her up from the floor
or mirabel saying something like “I’m so tired from walking” and luisa says “I’ll take you on my shoulders” and mira being like “uh, luisa, you don’t really have to I’m not a little kid-”
or mirabel is in someone’s way but instead of luisa asking her to move she just gently lift her and put her a bit to the side
we even see luisa fixing mira’s clothes and glasses in surface pressure

luisa is the kid casted as the tree but she is happy and puts a lot of effort in it. like, she’ll be the most expressive tree you’ll ever see and is super proud about it.
dolores prefers to help in the backstage rather than acting.

I’ve fallen down a rabbit-hole of Bruno Madrigal and I just might either go on a (respectable) request binge or, write some myself…I’ve fallen for a dirty rat man.
Mirabel, after that the casita was rebuilt and everyone regained their powers, is now busy helping Abuela Alma organize the tasks of each family member. Now that things are much better, each of them tries to help each other so that the tasks are not too demanding for anyone and so that everyone has their time to indulge themselves and their hobbies!
But despite everything Mirabel is still worried about one person in particular… Her tio Bruno!
He still tends to isolate himself too often and she notices that since things have settled down, Bruno has never moved away from Casita! He has never gone down to the village not even to go for walks… And this worries her to the point of wanting to remedy it!
