i still can’t get over the fact that the apparent conclusion of snape’s arc in the harry potter books is that abusing your position of power over children is forgiveable if you stalked one of their parents when you were a teen
So I finally got around to finishing this clip from the Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix audiobook. A lot of people requested Umbridge getting the verbal smack down from Mcgonagall, and I was so eager to animate this. And then half way through, I just stopped. I lost all fire to work, and didn’t want to even look at the scene anymore. But yesterday, I sat down at my computer and did all the animation for mcgonagall in one fell swoop. So… cool.
I dont care who people fancast, but what really rubs me the wrong way is when HP fans constantly write Karen Gillan off as “too old” to play Lily when Ben and Andrew are 5+ years older than her, and Aarons only a couple of years younger. Its happening in the Tangled fandom too (Amanda seyfried is “too old” to play Rapunzel but Ben is being fancast as Flynn), and its so gross. Fancast whoever you want, but stop shitting on other peoples fancast, and stop being sexist. I agree that if a Marauders movie is made, Lily shouldn’t be played by a 30 year old, but neither should any of the Marauders or Snape.
I have a headcanon that Tom Riddle had a really thick cockney accent when he was a child, imagine Michael Caine, then when he got to Hogwarts decided that he wanted to sound posh like the other Slytherins and changed his voice.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione all got matching tattoos on their wrists.
Ron used to comfort Harry whenever he had nightmares.
Hermione took it as a personal challenge to try and style Harry’s hair but was unable to overcome the “Potter’s Curse”.
Ron gave the “you hurt my sister and I’ll hurt you” talk to Harry before turning around and giving Ginny the “you hurt my brother and I’ll hurt you” talk.
Hermione loved to read by the fire with Ron’s head in her lap, her fingers running through his hair.
Harry, although he would never admit it, found comfort in Hermione’s lectures.
Harry got a shirt with Ron’s face on it, and when questioned, he told reporters that he was Ron’s biggest fan.
Hermione cried when she found out how unloved Harry was growing up, and made a promise to herself to show him how loved he was daily.
Ron and Harry moved into a flat together after Hogwart’s, and Hermione showed up everyday with the claim of “I’m just making sure you both are alive”.
Harry went ring shopping with Ron for his proposal to Hermione. He never complained even though they spent seven hours looking.
Harry and Ron sat front row for Hermione’s graduation from Hogwart’s and were cheering the loudest for her.
Harry admitted to Hermione first about his sexuality and she comforted him, doing her best to explain that it would all be okay, that it was normal, that he was normal.
When Harry broke up with Ginny, Ron didn’t get mad. He understood and offered quiet support even as he comforted his sister.
The first time Ron got drunk, Harry spent the night taking care of him and making sure he was safe instead of partying.

James: I gave James a couple quidditch tats, like the broom and the hoops (I like to think the ball moves through them), and a few Marauders tats (the footprints, names, “I solemnly swear”, and constellation for Sirius). The triangle on his neck represents the invisibility cloak! I gave both he and Lily a few Gryffindor tats, cause they’re classic, like the flags, arm band for Lily, and sorting hat song for James. I gave James Lilies and antlers on his arm, and I gave Lily a sleeve of flowers that has a ton of symbolism (YouTube!). They each have each other’s patronuses and initials too. Lily: I gave Lily a goldfish, the 9 ¾, and a wand for her love of charms. The protego (protection spell) should be obvious! Also… you cannot convince me that James does not have moles. Cool?
