I love these boys so much. Brilliant, avant garde juggernauts of performance, and responsible for some of the most influential music in the past 40+ years. Take all that and wrap it up in their blatant gender-bending, and I’m smitten. As cool as cool gets. Did I hear there’s a movie in the making about these two?!?

The earliest known photo of The Stooges (at the time known as The Psychedelic Stooges) from late 1967 or early 1968. Iggy was notorious for performing with white paint on his face and wearing smocks onstage.
Months ago I promised her art involving the one and only Iggy Pop wearing a collar. Out of the Iggy eras that she likes, I decided to go for 80s Iggy. With her permission and approval, I included a lead and a hand and arm as well.

This is perfect! And then adding her hand to it was just brilliant. (I recall back in the day when she wrote a story about leading Robert around like a lion on a leash -or am I dreaming this up - as I’ve been known to do @brownskinsugarplum76 ❤️ this picture reminds me of that too!!

This duo did not exist. The image was on the cover of Berkeley Barb. In reality, Iggy and Elvis both played at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco, but four days apart, in November 1977.
