Happy birthday to my boys, Dimitri and Rudy! Your virtual presence made this hell year bearable.

This was supposed to be a fully coloured piece but my tablet was a mess and crashed and the lineart is all I have left, so enjoy the WIP for now I guess.

I went with the Magic!AU prompt because I can’t resist an excuse for glowy magic effects and Andrew in a big hat!! So here’s half-elf Neil and dark mage Andrew practicing some illusion magic probably at midnight on a rooftop. 

I’m so extremely sorry it’s late! But I hope you enjoy it.

Neil cursed the witness protection. He cursed them for relocating him to this tiny town in rural Oregon, cursed the town for only having one veterinary clinic, and cursed the vet for already being closed. For good measure, he cursed himself and everything in his life which at twenty-four had left him woefully unprepared to deal with the predicament he found himself in now.

My art for @blogaboutyafavbirdboys’s heartwarming and fun Sheep Farm AU, Lately I Been, I Been Losing Sleep for the @aftgbigbang!!

This is such a great fic!! And it has been the best time drawing all these lovely moments! You can read the fic here!!  It features some adorable soft moments, lots of pining, and plenty of sheep and cats! Enjoy! :D

Lastly, I would like to dedicate these drawings to my beautiful kitty cat, Squeak, the constant model and muse for not only all of these pieces but most of my other works featuring fur babies, and who sadly died last week after 18 unforgettable years. These were some of the last drawings she sat with me for so they will always hold a special place for me. 

And a huge thanks to Chloe not only for this beautiful fic and the chance to draw some cat friendly content, but also for allowing this dedication, it means a lot. <3

Neil climbs the front pillars of the house, more a shadow than a creature, needing to see the stars and remind himself of where he is. For most of his life, he hadn’t known stars. He’d known dirt and stagnant air and nothing of this terrifying wonderland above ground.

A Mermaid AU for @gluupor​ for the @aftgexchange​ !! :D 

You had so many tempting prompts, but I couldn’t resist trying my hands at a mermaid Neil!  (somehow I got paired with you again, lol! hope that’s okay!)

My headcanon behind this scene was Andrew is a pirate from the dreaded crew “The Monsters”, who got thrown overboard during a ship raid and was rescued by Neil, runaway (swimaway?) merprince who lives with a bunch of talking clown fish to avoid his father, King Triton. The two fall in love in their search for some deadly weapon/person that will make Neil human/Andrew rich, all while evading Ravens rival pirates and Triton’s mergoons.

Neil’s tail/mersona?? is based on a flying fox fish and the clown fish may or may not share names with the upperclassmen. ;)

I loved working on this for you!! I hope you like it! :D

I know I didn’t post on here a lot this year, but looking back, I did so many pieces I was proud of I thought I would do another summary post for 2018!

More Jean again this year, and Greek Gods, and cats… lots of cats. Like 3 cats or dogs a month… 

And also a sprinkle of Todd/Chaos Walking at the end which moving forward I want to do more art for in 2019 because I love that series more than I have shown lately!

My gift for my dad for his birthday (yesterday). He loves the old Adam West Batman series and of course our cat, Squeak! :D

Last winter on the farm.

I was feeling the strong need to draw both Todd and a winter scene, so this happened.

Bonus Ben and Cillian in the background because Todd isn’t doing the farm work so someone has to.

A Hogwarts!AU where they all get snowed in during a randomly collective quidditch practice (really only Kevin is complaining) and Neil pulls a James Potter.

I had so much fun drawing this for you and coming up with all the magical details! I hope you like it! :)

I. MAGICIAN

My Magician card for the @aftgtarotzine.

I wish I can say I chose Matt (and Neil) for a deep reason with this card, but honestly, I just noticed no one else was giving Matt his own card so… And Neil just cause Matt looked awkward on his own, so its now “The Roommate” card as far as my file naming was concerned. :D

Ultimately worked out though ‘cause I feel Matt does symbolize willpower and balance of the Magician card; having overcome his past and creating a better future for himself (while still not ignoring the bad; “as above, so below”). And then Neil at the bottom, obviously matches the reverse meaning, especially at the beginning of the series, when he’s Matt’s roommate.

Card symbolism wise, I tried to keep it the same, but I changed the card suits to match the series; so Coins, Cups, Swords, and Wands became Logos, Keys, Knives, and Raquets. (also hidden card number on Neil’s jersey).

Reversed: Fear of change, Stagnation, Holding on

My Death card for the @aftgtarotzine. I chose Jean and Kevin because I think both of them just embody the meaning of the card; changing, but also the resistance to change. Plus the symbolism of the setting/rising sun and the crowns and racquets scythe just seemed really appropriate for these two as well.

Also, I added the Kevin side up because, again, the meaning can work in reverse, but also because I just really like how both orientations turned out and I couldn’t decide which to post.

I can go on and on about this one because it’s probably my favourite thing I’ve drawn all year, but I’ll just leave it at that.
