i am a big fan of spells of this nature! there are few ways to go about this, some will be easier if you possess a name, but if not then no problem.
these are spells i’ve personally used, so i have omitted some details, such as the consecration processes, daily workings, and specific blends—you can replace the generic blends with anything of your choice!
edit:ijust realized in your tags you may not know this person’s name. you can replace any mention of name here with their physical features, an energetic replacement, or a symbol of some sort to represent the person. this will obviously affect the spells, but they’re still workable.
1.tie them together. the base of this is very basic and straightforward, but you can add and subtract as you feel. create two ‘pouches’, one for yourself and one for your person of desire and stitch them together. i like to revisit these pouches every 3 days and rework them—i often bury them somewhere between my location and the location of my desired target, though in your own backyard works fine too.
what you fill the pouches with is your choice, for my target i like a generic mix of high john root, beeswax, apple skin, and some form of iron (coins, discs, whatever you can get your hands on). on that iron, i inscribe the name of my target, but this can be replaced with a small slip of paper.
your own pouch should be similar, but throw in that closest to you—for me, this comes in the form of dirt from my own home, a spritz of my favourite perfume, or black tea leaves.
2.write their name. this one does require a name, but i find it works well for short term use—i use this to contact friends who i have not seen in a few days, or rather, have them contact me within the day. on a slip of paper in green orred ink, write around the edges some variation of “hear me”, “love me”, “see me”. this will depend on what your goal is—a short but simple statement works best. as you write along the edges, your pen should not lift, making a closed border.
in the middle, write your target’s name 3 or 5 times. then write your own name across theirs 3 or 5 times perpendicular to their name. fold this slip of paper towards you and keep it inside your pillow case or under your mattress (if you move a lot in your sleep like i do).
you can flower this up and make a little bundle bouquet garni style, with a sprig of pennyroyal, apple stem, rose petals, or anything of your choosing. if you don’t want to bust out the herbs and fruits, you can kiss the slip of paper or whisper to it before tucking it away.
3.poppets or doll. this is closer to the pouches and another one i use often. make a little poppetorstraw doll. if we’re doing the poppet, you can stuff it with your target’s taglock (name on paper), if it’s the doll, tie it around the waist with some red thread.
if you want this to be a long-term working, these dolls should be worked frequently, either weekly, daily, or other. i like to work them every 3 days inside certain planetary hours, but that isn’t necessary! dress the doll with your oils or herbs of choice—i typically use frankincense powder, apple skins, ash of cherrywood, and an opening oil.
alternatively, you can dress a candle instead and burn it over the ‘chest’ of the doll for as long as you need. i enjoy calling down my familiar spirits for this process, but i’d encourage finding your own method of working the doll.
4.eat them. this one sounds funny, but it only requires three things—a fruit skin of choice or a slice of fruit hollowed out (something easy to eat, you can also omit this entirely), cinnamon, and honey. dip the tip of your tongue into the cinnamon, it will sting slightly and you will want to swallow the cinnamon immediately if you’re not used to it, but try not to.
if we’re using the fruit, fill the slice/skin with honey. if you’re not using fruit, you can just drop the honey straight onto your tongue. consume the honey and cinnamon mix while focusing on the energy of your target, or while repeating their name.
if you want to be fancy, you can also set up a small ritual using a few candles and a plate, making the act of ‘eating’ a dedication to a spirit of your choice. i often do this as an exchange, a show of dedication while requesting the spirit to assist in ‘pulling’ the target towards me.

This glamour spell is one of the few that I use, and I can say that it’s worked for me quitewell. Be careful, though. You may attract unwanted attention.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
a jar
water
rose petals (optional)
vanilla essential oil (optional)
red or pink candle (optional)
STEPS:
Pour the water inside the jar you wish to use.
Put in your ingredients that you chose to use. As you put them in, visualize how you want people to look at you. If you want to be confident, visualize yourself being confident. If you want romantic or sexual attention, visualize yourself getting that. Whatever you want, just visualize yourself attracting it.
At this point, if you wish to use a candle, now is the time to pour your intentions into it & light it. If not, that’s fine. You can also call upon deities who correspond to love at this moment.
Stir the liquid clockwise so that it’s moving towards you. As you do so, continue to visualize your desired outcome.
After that, it’s all done. You can leave it out by the window and allow the moon the charge it up. If you chose to light a candle, let it burn down.
WAYS TO USE IT:
♡ Dab some on your face before you leave the house in the morning. ♡ Put some on your face before you put any makeup or skin products on. ♡ You can use it in love spells by replacing the water with an oil of your choosing and anointing a pink or red candle with it, preforming the spell the same way. ♡ If you wear makeup, pour a little bit in a little cap of some sort and dab your makeup brushes in it to dampen the brush before you apply any eyeshadow or powder of any kind. ♡ If you want a specific person’s attention, you can dab some on a picture of them or drop a little bit where you know they will walk. ♡ Use it as an offering for deities corresponding to love, depending on your intention.
I really like that the aro and ace communities have come up with models of different kinds of attraction and relationships. It’s badly needed in a society that portrays only a tiny handful of incredibly narrow “correct” narratives of intimacy, and these models have clearly helped a lot of people. They fill a need just like how the models of gender made by nonbinary communities have helped people, and have the potential to help society as a whole beyond queer communities. But one thing I don’t see in many discussions about models of attraction is how attraction is super messy and doesn’t neatly fit these models sometimes, or at all for some people.
I would describe a lot of my experiences of attraction as more of a gradient, a spread, a big paint splatter. My attraction for one person is all part of the same splotch, but it might stretch across multiple categories, sometimes neatly, sometimes chaotically or nonsensically. Often the only clearly distinct attraction I feel is sexual, and it tends to be fairly weak, and the others are much stronger. Attraction is different for each person I am close to, and no two experiences have been identical for me. Sometimes trying to describe them using the model of sexual-sensual-romantic-platonic-aesthetic just doesn’t work, the splotch doesn’t follow those lines in any clear way. Some of my feelings of attraction don’t even fit into any of those categories at all. I’m not sure I would describe any of my attraction as platonic, and that’s often the clearest distinction in these models, so trying to think about my experiences in that framework leaves me feeling confused. I experience desires for intimacy, and the specific details of those desires tend to be different towards each individual and don’t follow the lines of these broad categories.
In fact, I don’t even base the boundaries in my relationships on attraction. For me, trust and rational judgment are the key factors. When I consider if I want to have sex with someone, I consider if I trust them enough to participate in consent with me on good faith, if I trust them enough to be emotionally and physically vulnerable with them, and if I think that act will be good for me, good for them, and good for our relationship. If I can answer yes to all these things, then that’s all I really need. Attraction is just icing on the cake beyond that, because I cherish intimacy shared in a spirit of love far more than I care about satisfying attraction-based desires. I use the same process for any kind of intimacy, and often my feelings regarding boundaries with one person are different for different kinds of intimacy, regardless of what kinds of attraction I feel. So, attraction is not the prime motivating factor for my decisions about intimate boundaries. Trust and nurture are.
So, I think that’s another thing these models leave out. Conversations about models of attraction often contain the assumption that we form intimate boundaries based on our experience of attraction, but that isn’t the case for everyone. People seek intimacy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes it’s just a general desire for a particular kind of intimacy and it doesn’t matter who satisfies it. Sometimes it’s a need to express affection in a particular way towards a particular person. Sometimes it’s for comfort while processing difficult emotions, or relieving stress, or just a distraction. Sometimes it’s to confront an aversion or to seek some kind of emotional catharsis. Often it’s a mix of a whole bunch of motivations. So not only is attraction messy, but intimacy itself and the motivations behind it are also messy and diverse.
So to bring this post back to a more practical note, the takeaway message I want to leave you with is the same message I have for trans people exploring gender identity labels. These models of attraction were developed by the community because they seem to work for a lot of people, but they’re just tools, not rules or guidelines or progress markers. If they work for you, great. If they don’t work for you, discard them. If they work for you temporarily, great, but don’t be afraid to throw them away when they stop working. Find different models, make your own models, or don’t use models at all.
Discovering our own queerness is more about unlearning the unhelpful or untrue or unkind things we have been taught than about learning some specific new knowledge. Queer self-discovery isn’t learning a different set of rules to replace the mainstream rules, it’s changing how we think about the role of rules and models and labels in our lives entirely, and recognizing our own agency and will that have been denied to us for so long for so many reasons. There’s a wildness to being queer that I think shouldn’t be tamed, and I hope it never is.

Magical/Ritual Lore:
Legend has it that the ancient Romans had a statue of Venus made of lodestone and an image of Mars fashioned of iron. When the two statues were placed near one another in the temple, Venus attracted Mars.
Tales (never substantiated) also sing the praises of a statue that was permanently suspended in the air through the use of lodestones.
The stone was associated with the hero Hercules in times past and so came to be a symbol of strength and invulnerability.
In contemporary folk magic, the lodestone is thought to be alive. It is placed in a small bowl of water on a Friday to allow it to “drink," then laid in full sunlight to dry. When dry, iron filings are sprinkled on it as "food.”
Though there are variations on this procedure-some keep the stone in a red bag and sprinkle water and iron filings on it once a week-it is a common belief.
Several hundred years ago it was believed that it was dangerous to carry a lodestone during a thunderstorm because it attracted lightning.
A knife rubbed with the stone was not only magnetized, but any wound inflicted with it, however small, was thought to be fatal.
The lodestone was once believed to be stripped of its magnetic as well as magical powers by the mere presence of a diamond or garlic. Giambattista della Porta, in his monumental 1558 work, Natural Magic, said he had disproved such beliefs.
Nevertheless, some still believed this was true. Fortunately, there was an easy way to restore the lodestone’s powers. It was anointed with linseed oil, placed in a goatskin bag and covered with dirt for three days.
Its use to strengthen virility and to cure male sexual dysfunction (impotency) spans the ages. In ancient Assyria it was used in a sexual rite of pure sympathetic magic. The man placed a lodestone in oil and rubbed the resulting “infusion” on his body and penis to ensure satisfactory sexual intercourse. The woman rubbed parzilli, or iron powder, on her body to enhance her attractiveness. Thus prepared, couples three thousand years ago magically (or psychologically) released their inhibitions and shared pleasure.
Comparatively recently, in 16th-century India a king ordered his cooking utensils to be fashioned of lodestone to ensure his continuing virility.
Prostitutes once used lodestones to attract customers, and thieves relied on them to hide from authority.
All this lore has sprung from the lodestone’s natural magnetic quality. It and artificially created magnets share the power of attracting iron. Five hundred years ago this was a magical, miraculous property, and many believed a spirit or demon lived within the lodestone and gave it power.
Though scientific investigation has explained magnetism to a certain extent, the lodestone continues to be used in spell and ritual.
This is especially true in Mexico, where it is sold in botanicas along with candles, incenses, religious medals, snakeskins, oils and various other occult goods. Similar stores are found in many parts of the United States where Spanish-speaking peoples live.
Mexican street vendors who deal in magical supplies also sell lodestones. A few years ago I bought one from a woman who sat on the curb in a Tijuana district unfrequented by turistas.
It is also well known in Hoodoo and other American folk magic systems. Lodestones are sometimes painted green (for use in money spells), red (love), and white (protection). Painting them is not, of course, magically important unless you deem it to be so.
Magical Uses:
The lodestone is a power stone used to strengthen spells. It is added to sachets or herbal amulets, placed on the altar, or worn to increase the magician’s ability to rouse and release energy.
In ceremonial magic of the Middle Ages the lodestone was engraved with the figure of an armored man. This stone was utilized during rituals to empower magic.
The larger the stone, the more inherent power within it. While this is true of all stones, it is especially important with the lodestone, for the greater its size, the stronger its magnetic force.
Lodestone’s basic use in magic is attraction. Because the stone is a natural magnet, it is manipulated in ritual to draw objects or energies to its user. Thus, it can be used in any type of spell.
A simple example of this: A lodestone set in a man’s belt buckle draws success in all undertakings. This is probably because of the stone’s attracting qualities as well as its placement near what some call the ‘third chakra’, located about two inches below the navel. This energy center is associated with personal power and the will. When it is stimulated by the presence of the lodestone, it expands the will and therefore ensures success.
This spell, by the way, is of Mexican origin.
The lodestone, owing to its magnetic powers, is used to draw out disease and pain from the body. True healers, who send energy into a sick person to speed the body’s natural healing powers (or, specifically, to correct imbalances or blockages in bodily energy flows), may use the lodestone as a focusing device for their energies.
The stone can be passed over or placed directly on the afflicted part of the body. This is particularly true of pain in the hands and feet.
It is also carried, often anointed first with a healing-type oil such as sandalwood. Any lodestones used in healing rituals to absorb disease should be cleansed after each use.
It is said to be effective in treating rheumatism and headaches, and in healing wounds. Placed in a black bag which was suspended on a black ribbon around the neck, it was a specific for gout a few centuries ago.
A small lodestone set in silver was thought to sharpen the sight. Set in gold, the lodestone strengthened the heart. A folk spell designed to heal the body of any illness is quite simple: Hold the lodestone in your hands, then shake it vigorously while visualizing your illness draining from you and going into the stone. Bury the stone in the earth for a week following the ritual.
Any lodestone used in healing rituals to absorb disease should be cleansed after each use or, if worn, every week or so.
The lodestone is also worn or carried to attract friendship. If you’ve just moved to a new city or have started a job among unknown people, wear or carry a lodestone to meet new friends.
The lodestone is also utilized to attract love. It is thought to be a magnet for hearts as well as for iron, especially when worn in a ring.
Place a pair of the stones within a circle of pink or red candles while visualizing yourself involved in a relationship. Feel the strong contact, the mingling of energies that comes with love. Visualize as well.
Two lodestones are also often carried in small red bags for this same purpose, sometimes mixed with love-attracting herbs such as rose, yarrow, and lavender (as well as copper, another love-inducer).
The lodestone is also worn to smooth over troubles in a relationship, especially arguing. Its basic function is to cool tempers to allow true communication.
A coral necklace with a lodestone suspended from it was once worn to facilitate easy childbirth.
In American folk magic, women wear lodestones to ensure that their wandering husbands will return home; thus, it stimulates fidelity.
Since this borders on manipulation, as does all fidelity magic, it deserves a few words here.
When you begin a loving/sexual relationship with another person, and especially when children result, you have relinquished some control over your life to your mate and family. This is part of the giving involved in strong emotional ties.
At best such fidelity magic should be used to gently remind your partner of his or her obligations. If a relationship has ended, that's that-all the spells and lodestones in the world won’t recapture the ecstasy, quiet peace and emotional fulfillment that love produces.
Psychic or magical enslavement isn’t love.
The lodestone’s ability to overcome impotency has been mentioned above, but such drastic or complex methods needn’t be used.
A man suffering from sexual dysfunction can hold the stone in his receptive hand, visualizing satisfactory, complete, joyous sexual relations.
Once this is done, he can carry the stone with him or place it beneath the mattress to release its powers. The stone and the visualization work toward rooting out the underlying cause of the sexual dysfunction.
The lodestone has also been utilized as a protective amulet, being worn, placed in the home, or carried. A large lodestone surrounded by flaming white candles emits guarding energies throughout the house. It absorbs negativity but does not return it. Because of this such stones should be cleansed in salt water every Full Moon.
Some carry two lodestones at all times-one to protect, the other to bring good luck. In ancient Spain carrying a lodestone was thought to guard against all dangers from steel, lead, fire and water.
For those lacking in will power (which is simply asserting yourself and acting in accordance with your goals), empower a lodestone through your visualization with this specific directive: “Strengthen my will.” Then carry the stone and utilize the energies it sends you. As I mentioned above, it can be worn two inches below the navel or placed there while you are prone and visualizing yourself as being confident and secure.
Because it is an attracting stone, the lodestone is used to draw money or business success. Place lodestone in a green bag with a silver coin, a bit of gold (ifyou have it) or money-attracting herbs such as patchouly, cloves or tonka. Business people may place an empowered lodestone in the cash register or cash box or burn green candles around a lodestone to bring in customers.
Finally, the lodestone is considered by some to be a potent gambling talisman. It is worn or carried for luck during betting.

It was really hard to find old pictures of plus size people. I’ve been searching and searching and this is one of the things I found… How could it be okay to view a curvy person as an attraction? I do not approve this kind of disrespectful plus size photography but I do think it’s important to post. An important tenet of aro activism is–or should be–dismantling the idea that any type of relationship or attraction (romantic, platonic, queerplatonic, sexual, etc.) is inherently deeper, more meaningful, or more valuable than any other. The axis on which someone’s feelings or interpersonal relationships operate should not determine their value. All of these things are self-definable, and the depth and meaningfulness of anyone’s individual experiences ought to be determined by that individual, not by classifications constructed by others.
Sexual Attraction: “I want to do the sex with you.” Romantic Attraction: “I want to date you and be cute and maybe cuddle and kiss you.” Aesthetic Attraction: “You look hella great and I appreciate your face.”

Hey, witches, wizards, warlocks, sorceresses, sorcerers, high priestess, and such! How y'all doing? So I know I talk about money spells a lot and recently shared with you numbers that were prominently speaking to me. I’ve even had private messages with several of you about your numbers. Those numbers that I listed in a previous post are still in communication, but I have a mashup with money and numbers this time around.
So, last week I kept seeing 888, 88, and 8 in a singular day. But before that when I wasn’t thinking of that number, I saw 8 a few times that day and then I was texted for a last minute job to work with someone else in like 2 days. When that day came, I was offered more money than the original pay and I made tips where I originally NEVER make cash tips. I ended up getting preferred by the person in charge of the company’s representation, which will lead lead me to more money. So I’m grateful for that because I definitely need it.
And the next day is when I saw the set of numbers listed above. And that night, I ended up with over $100 and it hit me that I saw the numbers but I wasn’t paying attention to the fact that the numbers for financial abundance were literally telling me that it’s on the way. You’ve been really good to people. Your reward is here. You just have to pick it up.
I also upgraded my money spella free months ago and literally finished the spell on the most recent full moon (06.05.2020), but I didn’t get to perform it because I had other obligations. So I’ve literally been riding around with it in my car in my chamber but thinking about it.
