Going to be doing inktober to help promote the feels of Rex (comic) and just more training. Looking forward to sharing these.
Inktober Day 1. I honestly didn’t think I’d have anything for Inktober because of how stuck I’ve been with my art and just where I am mentally. I disappeared for a little bit. Anyway, I was going to do a witch prompt list but oh my god did that stunt my creativity like crazy . Do I just instead made atom of rough messy sketches about how I was feeling. I don’t know if I’ll do every day but I’ll try my best. I just don’t want mediocrity as that’s where I felt I was going originally. Hope you enjoy this ☺️ .

Inktober Day 1 - Ring
(This idea was better, so I redid day 1)
It’s inktober time! :D
Since it’s about challenging yourself to move out of your comfort zone I picked 2 areas to improve at.
1. digital drawing – all images will be created on my iPad and
2. locations – so far this year I’ve mainly been drawing characters and I really want to get back into backgrounds
I named my inktober project ‘positive space’ and will be drawing a series of places that surround me on a daily basis.
Fingers crossed I’ll see this through!

I’m doing Inktober! The Day 1 prompt is Ring and so I decided to seek inspiration from one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen, Gore Verbinski’s The Ring. I’ve always been impressed with how he was able to make commonplace items like a television or a VHS tape feel sinister. I think I might use movies as my basis for this year’s challenges. My first #Inktober piece ✨ I’ll be doing it very casually this year so I won’t be posting one everyday. I plan to use this month as an excuse to practice using ink.
I tried using a light box for the first time to ink my sketch, it’s pretty cool having the original sketch and the finished version haha
For the pose I referenced one of taespoons photos.

I was doing something here about poisonous communications, words & pictures & the like. Maybe the ones in power aren’t the only ones who can wield this type of poison? Maybe there is resistance? Resistance…who have wise old trees for guidance! Points for spotting the correct tree :p who knows!
