I just had an idea for a Stormlight AU. Elhokar still dies in Kholinar, but it’s not Moash who kills him. Maybe it’s aesudan, maybe it’s one of the fused. But Moash ends up in Shadesmar with everyone else, because he tries to protect Kaladin or something.
greetings and salutations, fandom! in the spirit of the upcoming season, we here at khfandomevents have decided to do a gift exchange, and you’re all invited to participate!
similar to the way Yuletide is done each year, we want to host a collection of fanwork gifts! we’re coming around the last lap of the Big Bang, so in order to make sure we don’t have too big a gap between things here in the community, signups for this exchange will be open from now until September 30th. everyone who signs up to give a gift will receive one!
gifts can be in the form of art or a short fic (min. word count 1500). all the holiday art is only Christmas, but all faiths are welcome, and no holiday theme is required. participants can request any character, ship, trope, or situation they like, and everyone will be matched with a gifter who has indicated they would be willing to create content of one of your requests!

just a quick update on this! for anyone thinking, gosh this is really early for a holiday type event, you’re not wrong. normally an event set to happen at the end of December wouldn’t start signups til mid-October or so, but we’ve had to push things up a little. this team currently has five mods, and we all perform different tasks to keep everything running. certainly there’s some overlap, but our main back-of-the-house mod who takes care of the bulk of forms and matchup magic is going to be mostly out of commission for the entire month of October, while she prepares for a big step forward in her career! so we’re getting this ball rolling before that commences, so that she can focus on this important moment without any distractions. we’re all rooting for her!!
we should have matchups done within a week after signups close, depending on how many participants we get. there will be two check-ins, just to make sure everyone is on task. the first check-in will be 29November, and the final check-in will be 13December. posting will begin 22December, and go thru 06January–two full weeks for posting, so that we can cover all major holidays during this relevant time of year, and allow participants to share their gifts without having to significantly cut into their own holiday and family time.
