03/11/2020 The upcoming few weeks I will be attending the virtual IGF, while also trying to keep up with my studies. It will be a crazy time, but also incredibly inspiring! I think I will learn a lot during the next few weeks.

Two stories about Canada’s new government:

Canada to withdraw from Kyoto Protocol, where Canada decides fighting climate change isn’t worth the money (there are legitimate concerns about how the biggest polluters aren’t covered, but this isn’t a great way of dealing with them).

Canada bans veil at citizenship ceremonies, where I don’t think I need to add anything. It’s worth noting that the relatively progressive Muslim Canadian Congress supports the ban on burqas and niqabs, saying that they have “no basis in Islam” and that it is “not a requirement of Islam that Muslim women stay covered completely”.

Good point but bad execution, along with bad point and bad execution.
