Our Inuyasha Redraw theme for May - June is Family.
We wanted to honor all of the different families in the series with their own redraw theme. We found such a large variety of different scenes we just couldn’t choose, so it would be a great help if you guys choose your favorite ones!

Also, since once again June is the time forInukag Week,we are reserving all the InuKag goodies for June so we can all celebrate this wonderful couple (and now parents!) together!

So, I wanted to do something special for this month’s @inuyasharedraw because it’s the 25th Anniversary of the Inuyasha Manga.
I adore Rumiko Takahashi’s art style - she is a goddess, who can display intense emotion and delicateness using an economy of line. I am a humble scribbly artist, who dislikes choosing just one line when perhaps ten will do. But I’ve done my best here.
So, may I present the first of three panels from Chapter 474 - Wounded Heart.
Inuyasha has just been woken from a dream by Kagome, a deadly dream about Kikyou where he cried bloody tears. They’re battling Kaō the Flower Prince, a powerful youkai who feeds on the sorrows of others and then feeds their used bodies to the soil. He’s looking for both Kagome and Kaō, and he walks out to see…
I’ve been meaning to do this all month, but it’s been crazy! I started a new job, the kids are on school holidays, and we’re still in lockdown, so… fun times! But I managed to do this month’s @inuyasharedraw at the very last minute with just a day to spare.
I’m not sure offering Inu doggie treats is the best idea Kagome. I’m pretty sure Inuyasha’s just about to say something that a ‘good dog’ would notsay…
Hey@inuyasharedraw! Getting in on that quality Kagome Redraw action before I forget. This was actually harder to do than I thought, because of the angle Rumiko did the original image at, so I just made some lazy changes to make it easier for me! Plus you get lazy background of the shrine!
Inuyasha is burned by youki the first time he uses the dragon scaled Tessaiga. I loved Kagome’s expression as she faces off against Byakuya, leaning protectively over an unconscious Inuyasha, and had to do a scribbly rendering of it.

My personal headcanon is that Inu is so grumpy because he’s never had an uninterrupted night’s sleep since his Mama died - he’s always on the defensive, even when he’s napping. Look at him looking so chipper after sleeping in Kagome’s bed ✨
Sometimes I need to redraw something from years ago just for a confidence boost.
I get lost in looking at all the other artists out there that are so much better than me and think I’ll never be like that. Perhaps I never will but I need to remember that I HAVE GROWN. I’ll get in a rut or so burnt out after school that I wonder what I’m thinking by making art a career. I thought those same things 7 years ago as well and yet I HAVE gotten better.
