He obediently raised his arms for her and then let them fall back down to his sides. She trailed her delicate fingers across his shoulders, following the designs of his tattoos, making him shiver. “Do we feel like playing with a few ropes tonight, puppy?” -
Skin against skin, he wrapped his arms around her waist, his legs on either side of hers. She was so small, so fragile-no… not fragile. She was never fragile. How many times had she proven that to him? She was strong, resilient… perfect. His lips brushed against the smooth skin of her back, revelling in the warmth that spread from her. He heard her sigh and he squeezed her just a little tighter. Kagome was the light in his life. When she disappeared for three years, Inuyasha felt like his heart had left with her. Now that she was back, there was no way he was ever letting her out of his sight. He wanted to keep her as close to him as possible. To never lose her scent, how sweet and fresh it is. Even more now, with their newly combined scents; made his heart thud and his youkai preen. She giggled when he wrapped his entire body around her even tighter.
“You okay Inu?” her voice was soft.
“More than okay. You’re here in my arms. What else could I possibly want?”
Kagome wriggled a little closer into his embrace and sighed in contentment. This was where they were meant to be.

Kagome ran her fingers across the silky, smooth fabrics displayed on the rack, a large range of colors spreading across the large room for miles. She could get lost in here honestly, but being locked in a store filled with gorgeous dresses didn’t sound too bad. There was just way too many options to choose from, and since Kagome had no idea what kind of dress she even wanted it made shopping more difficult.
“Kagome, what about this one?” Sango’s voice called out from beside her. She was rummaging through another rack filled with yellow and orange dresses.
“You sure orange looks good on me?” Kagome asked with a wrinkled nose, “I know it’s the color of the season, but it doesn’t work on me.”
Her friend rolled her eyes and lifted the gown from the hook, carefully laying it over her forearm so it doesn’t wrinkle or touch the ground. “I think you look hot in any color, so at least try it on please? We’ve gone to four stores with no luck!”

A super super fast and sloppy inukag sketch based on The Storm by French artist Pierre Auguste Cot. This isn’t the first time I’ve used one of his paintings for inspiration, I did Springtime for InuKag Week in 2020.
I’m working on a manga page redraw for Villain Day for @inuvember and maybe this could be a late submission for favourite couple’s day?
Every family has their little end of the week rituals. In our family, it’s pearl tea. Our suburb has quite a mixture of South East Asian families calling it home, which means we have a great mixture of restaurants and three different pearl tea places to choose from. Friday afternoon is tea time. And I could see Kagome wanting a sweet treat coming home from school and picking one up for Inuyasha too.
I gave Inu a matcha with red bean and black sesame pearls, and Kagome a pink grapefruit tea.
I’ve been meaning to do this all month, but it’s been crazy! I started a new job, the kids are on school holidays, and we’re still in lockdown, so… fun times! But I managed to do this month’s @inuyasharedraw at the very last minute with just a day to spare.
I’m not sure offering Inu doggie treats is the best idea Kagome. I’m pretty sure Inuyasha’s just about to say something that a ‘good dog’ would notsay…
Imagine my surprise and delight when I realised that @artistefish had started adding one of my favourite fics, Abnormalities, to AO3.
So I decided to do a redraw of a piece of art I did many moons ago, a beautiful moment from Chapter 4 when they are reunited. These poor babies I just want them to be happy!
And I’m also going to tag @sins-week for the Wrath/Patience tag. Because Kagome is ready to fry a whole lot of ‘scientists’ to get her and Inu out, but they have to be patient and wait for their chance to escape.

Woke up at 3am last night and couldn’t get back to sleep, and saw this cute picture of a girl in a koi yukata. So I had to sketch Kagome in it and give her an excuse to wear it. It’s actually Autumn here in Australia, but Japan will be gearing up for Summer Festivals soon. Kakigori, shaved ice topped with sweet syrup, condensed milk, ice cream or yoghurt, and fruit, is a favourite summertime treat.

As I was sketching it, I imagined that perhaps Kagome was taking a moment to study while Inuyasha ferried them across a lake. Perhaps it was Hyakunin Isshu (Single Songs of a Hundred Poets) for Japanese literature class - an anthology of 100 waka poems, by 100 different famous poets of antiquity. Perhaps one of them touched Inuyasha’s heart as she read them aloud, and he decided to seize the moment, their audience flying above them forgotten…
