Wow, it’s been a while! Today I come to present you with a one shot (almost ficlet) I wrote recently, for a very special person going through a very difficult time. I did as a way to pour out my own feelings as well as honoring her in her suffering.
The drawing is a piece I did many years ago that I think reflects well some of the angst on the fic.
I hope you all enjoy the reading, and while there are triggers, it does have a happy ending <3
After being reunited with her beloved hanyou, Kagome reflects back on those three years without him, how hard she took his absence, specially the first few months… And specifically one thing she did during those months, on a desperate occasion, thinking she would never see him again.
Now, two years after her return to his side, with his arms around her in the middle of the night, she cannot help but be gratefulthat when she tried doing the unthinkable, she failed.
It’s not an easy reading, so I’ll leave you all with a trigger warning and all the other tags on the link.
For the next three months, I’m taking a break from fanfiction. The good news with that is, payment for Patreon will be paused for those three months. So for either $3-$5 dollars upon entry, you get three months to binge read without a monthly fee!

Afterwards
Kagome’s blue-gray eyes glittered from the excitement and adrenaline rush, her bow still raised
InuYasha held Tessaiga over his shoulder, looking at her appreciatively. “Feels like old times,” he said, as he looked at the three dead youkai carcasses on the ground in front of them, bleeding into the ground.
“Yeah,” she replied, lowering her bow.
Grinning, he let Tessaiga transform back into its ratty, worn-out katana form and sheathed the blade. “I do believe you shoot better than I remember,” he said.
“You think so?” she said, grinning back. “At least now I don’t have to look for any shards in what’s left over.”
He walked up to her and wrapped an arm around her. “Nothing quite like youkai guts, eh?” His amber eyes looked at her playfully. He reached up, and wiped a spot off her cheek. “Of course sometimes the guts find you without trying.”
He looked into her eyes, a playful half-smirk on his lips, a look that slowly smoldered into something more than just the afterglow of the excitement of the battle. With a sigh, he pulled away, stepping beside slipping his arm around her waist. “We better get out of here before something else nasty comes by.” His fingers brushed against her side, drawing lazy patterns. “There’s a hot spring not too far from here, if I remember,” he said in a voice that was too husky to be as casual as his words sounded. “ Wanna go get cleaned up?”
Kagome laughed a little and smiled as she nodded. As he bent down to carry her out of the clearing on his back, she nuzzled one of his ears with her nose. He shivered slightly and his fingers gently caressed the back of her thighs.
“That’s one difference than old times,” she said. “You never tried to get me to go off with you alone to a hot spring after a battle back in those days.”
“Didn’t mean I didn’t want to,” he said.
Her lips kissed the back of his neck. “Didn’t mean I didn’t want you to, either,” she replied. “You’d probably be surprised what I used to dream about you doing.”
For a moment, he almost stumbled. “Woman, you keep that up, and we might not make it to the spring.”
She wrapped her arms around him tightly in a hug. “Get us there in one piece and I might even tell you about some of them,” she said sultrily.
With a moan, InuYasha leaped. Kagome’s bright laughter rang through the woods as he hurried on.
I honestly don’t know if this has been done before but…
I tried to curate all of the important dates in Inuyasha fandom. Mostly are celebration events for pairings and families that are canon per Rumiko Takahashi (appear or mentioned in the animanga), held both on tumblr and twitter, but I also put some rare pair/crack ship events in it. I was hoping that by collecting it all in one place, then we could have a one big timeline for (nearly) all our weekly or monthly events So it would be easier for artists and authors to track which event they wanted to participate in or maybe it could be used to just simply keeping up with their schedules, because after writing it all down I’ve realized that our fandom’s agenda are packed
Some of the events I wrote already have fixed dates for this year’s celebration, but there are others that haven’t as well. For those with no specific date yet, I put the estimation when will it be held e.g. mid September, end October, etc., based on its last year’s schedule.
