They did mention back then that there were some cut scenes that we would see in the extended version that was never fucking released djfjfjfj as well as diff takes that contained a different ending. A diff ending might also have a slightly diff impale moment, and it would be realistic to consider they took from diff shots and this could slightly be a continuity error.
