Stobotnik AU thing…
This was originally a werewolf!Stone au but then I really wanted Robotnik to have an animal form as well… One of my friends said that this is just animorphs which I guess it is???? but I don’t actually know anything about animorphs so-
The inspiration came from this fic on Ao3 (link)
First time I’ve ever really enjoyed a werewolf au or any kind. I really liked the idea of wolf!Stone but kinda wanted to do my own thing with it.
So in this au I imagine everyone has a animal form of some kind (could be literally any animal ig) and form shifting would not be controlled by the moon like in a werewolf au. Instead it’s more of a voluntary action, very much tied to emotions.
Most of the time people try to stay in a completely human state without any physical animal traits, to do otherwise is to not be in control of your animal. It’s expected that people should be able to have full control over shifting with the exception being children would shift wildly until they learn to control it.
Being in an animal form can be a very vulnerable and personal thing, rarely seen by those other than family and loved ones.
Stone’s from is based around a german sheperd but also kind of mixed with a wolf?
Robotnik is a simple tabby cat and small compared to others with a similar form.
An example of how someone would shift or have their animal traits appear could be shifting to full animal form during an argument or fight/during an extreme feeling of fear. Another could be something like Robotnik petting the top of Stone’s head and suddenly Stone’s ears and tail appear without his intention. This could also happen if someone is experiencing any form of intense emotion.
The more look at this the more it feels like Turning Red but with other animals… which I guess it is adajkaj. Anyways that’s my contribution, enjoy DX

Anyone want an oddly specific list of stobotnik headcanons or-
under the cut:
Agent Stone:
-Fully trained lifeguard and first aid attendant
-Makes Robotnik his coffee over ice during hot days
-Often cooks for them both at work or orders takeout but he is the one feeding Robotnik essentially since this man does not do it himself
-Sneaks vitamins into Robotniks food lol (man does not get out enough and lacks vitamin D)
-Uses one of those dinosaur sandwich cutters for Robotnik’s sandwiches
-Talks to the other agents when necessary but keeps his distance
-Has a book full of notes on Robotnik
-Most of his job consists of things like answering emails and doing basic book keeping for Robotnik when nothing else is going on
-Previously worked on a team of undercover agents tasked to protect high profile targets before being assigned to Robotnik
-Worked his way through uni as a barista hence his coffee skillzzz
-Stone is his agent name, not his last name
-More likely to watch netflix in his room on a laptop then on a tv
-Incredibly resourceful and great a keeping calm during intense situations
-Has been kidnapped before on several occasions before working for Robotnik
-Does actually understand more about Robotnik’s work then he pretends to
Robotnik:
-Sleep is for the weak, only sleeps like 4 hrs
-Knows Stone sneaks vitamins into his food but lets Stone believe its his little secret
-Monitors/keeps tabs on Stone 24/7 through various things such Stone’s watch which Robotnik made and gave Stone the day he decided Stone would be sticking around for more than the 3 days most other agents fail to last
-Said watch reads out Stone’s location and vitals at all times
-Scrolls through Stone’s most recent internet activity when he’s bored
-Related heavily to the movie Lilo and Stitch until Sonic came along
-Cant swim (his only weakness which he’d rather drown before admitting)
-Used to dye his hair and mustache black and almost killed Stone when he found out

I made a Stobotnik drawing to celebrate LGBT+ pride month
I have seen theories that Robotnik is asexual, and I really see it as very likely, so I made two drawings where Ivo carries different flags.
And yes the badniks are supporting their daddies❤
