Due to an unexpected downpour, you and your high school friends were stuck in the restaurant that was reserved by Oikawa Tōru.
Even on the way to report a stalker to the police, Tetsurō could still make you smile. Still, once Tōru had pulled into the lot, your mood inside darkened.
“Ready?” He murmured, sympathetically. You nodded quietly and grabbed the small box of evidence, that being the package, letter, and picture. You just hoped it was enough. “As I’ll ever be,” You muttered.
The police station, although well lit and organized, still gave you an uneasy feeling, despite your attempts to shake it off.
Tōru, who seemed to share your unsettled feelings, guided you towards the front desk with a hand on your back. As you stepped up to the front desk, a blank faced man glanced up at you for a moment before looking back at his things.
“How can I help you?” He asked, clearly bored. You inhaled to calm your nerves before setting the box on the desk. “I’d like to make a report… I’m being stalked.” You saw his eyebrow raise as his gaze flickered to the box.
“And you’re sure?” Put off by his tone, you nodded earnestly. “I am. And I want to make a report.” He sighed, almost as if you were inconveniencing him.
“Name?” You frowned at his tone. “(Y/L/N) (Y/N). Inside the box-“
“Hold on, ma’am, I didn’t ask all that,” He interrupted, clicking his tongue. Stunned, you fell silent, but Tōru clearly wasn’t having it.
“Sir, she’s trying to make a report, so if you would just listen-“ The officer glared, not impressed. “No, you listen. We will get to this ‘stalker’ when we have a chance, but Miyagi is a large prefecture with a lot of crime. I assure you that you’re not in danger, so please calm down.”
Tears of frustration stung your eyes, but you weren’t done yet. “How can you be sure?! You haven’t even looked inside the box! What if he tries something? What, are you only going to believe me then?!”
The officer just handed you a paper, looking positively finished with the conversation. “Ma’am, please, you’re being hysterical. It’s not a matter of believing you or not, it’s a matter of priority. Now, if you could go fill that over there, please, there’s a line you’re holding up.”
You were floored completely. Your hands trembled, threatening to let the paper flutter to the floor. You truly couldn’t believe it. Silent, you walked over to the waiting area, no longer having any words left you in you.
“What is wrong with y-?!” You stopped the peeved brunette in his tracks with a pull to his sleeve. When his eyes landed on you, you simply shook your head, not wanting to escalate the matter further.
You waited until closing the car door to let loose, the day’s heartache leaving you in sobs that seemed to shake your entire being. The feeling of helplessness was just too overwhelming to keep in.
