Hello, I’m looking for research participants for my dissertation on chronic pain. If you have chronic pain and a spare fifteen minutes or so I’d love it if you could check the above survey out.

@thebibliosphere would any of your followers be able to help out with this?

Can do!

You got used to preparing your own food. You mastered all the simple anti inflammatory recipes you eat every day. But then a family member or a friend asked you out for dinner. Now you got scared because you might eat foods that cause inflammation of joints.

Calm down, here’s an anti inflammatory diet meal plan you could use in restaurants in case of emergency!

For American Cuisine:

Main Course:

  • Grilled or Roasted fish
  • Chicken Breast

You don’t want to add unnecessary fats to your body that could contribute to the pain. As you know, our weight directly affects our joints.

Sides:

  • Brown Rice
  • Sweet or Baked Potato
  • Steamed Veggies

For Chinese Cuisine:

Main Course:

  • Steamed Fish with Ginger (Ginger is generally important).
  • Steamed Chicken
  • Shrimp (or any other shell foods)
  • Mixed Veggies with Tofu
  • Broccoli

Dessert:

  • Anything that is riched with Vitamin C (like orange)

For Japanese Cuisine:

It’s an excellent choice because they have lots of food that is rich with ginger. As I said earlier, ginger is generally important as anti inflammatory food.

Main Course:

  • Sushi
  • Sashimi
  • Soybeans
  • Seaweed Salad
  • Steamed Veggies
  • Chicken Teriyaki
  • Salmon Teriyaki
  • Brown Rice

For Mexican Food:

  • Chicken Burritos
  • Tacos
  • Fresh Salsa
  • Shredded Lettuce

Recommended Restaurants: Chipotle, Baja Fresh and Taco Bell

For Buffet:

All foods are soooo tempting! But you must resist! In fact, it’s a buffet and you have a lot to choose from that you can enjoy!

  • Grilled
  • Baked
  • Roasted
  • Steamed Veggies

You can enjoy other foods, but limit yourself into small pieces.

For Fast Food:

You might think that all fast foods are bad for your joints, think again. Because you can still score good meals with little customization.

  • Grilled Chicken Sandwiches from McDo or Wendy’s (ask the attendant to remove mayo and cheese)
  • Baked Potato
  • Salad
  • Single Patty Burgers (don’t add sauce)

You know, it’s not entirely impossible to find healthy foods out there for your joints. You don’t have to be scared of going out. A lot of restaurants today are adding healthy options to their menus for those who need it. Just do a little research beforehand and you’re good to go!

The other night was a blast! Hopefully the first of many! Lasagna, jalapeno poppers, cupcakes, buffalo wings and unli drinks! Best one yet in LA! Pain in bones all over body but looking forward for more this year! Hashtag, Hello 2019!

Anyway, does anyone here knows any joint pain treatment? My bones and joints hurt like hell after drinking and I can’t focus on my work anymore! Maybe I got so drunk the other night that I got hit by a truck? Lol. But I don’t think so. I have no injury or anything. Just bunch of embarrassing, incoherent texts I’ve sent to different people on my contacts.

Not sure, too, if it’s just hangover. Hopefully not! I’ve read somewhere that I might be dehydrated from alcohol so I’m on water therapy today. I am not ready to lessen my alcohol consumption, though.

I tried to Google a while ago and these things came up:

  • Hot and cold compress. Warm showers are my thing but maybe I’ll do shifting once in a while. Whatever’s more effective.
  • Exercise/Yoga. It’s part of my routine even before, but not sure about this anymore. It’s too painful. Does anyone having the same experience? What do you do?
  • Meditation. With all these pain and workloads at the same time…God, I badly need this! I’m so stressed for two days now.
  • Omega-3 Oil Diet. Anyone tried this? Is this safe? Please share your experiences if it’s worth a try.
  • Massage.Oh girl, it’s perfect. 2018 has been rough to all of us. We all need this.

This is what I’ve found from livestrong’s website:

Drinking liquor can lead to the loss of balance and coordination, causing you to overwork your muscles whether you drink moderate or high amounts. This may result in muscle soreness the day after or even beyond. Your brain and body can suffer the effects of drinking five or more alcoholic beverages for up to three days, according to the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education at the University of Notre Dame. In fact, two consecutive nights of heavy drinking can produce negative effects for up to five days.

So yeah, maybe alcohol is the culprit. If anyone of you has any more ideas please share it on reply section. I have client meetings this month that I can’t miss. I don’t wanna go to the doctor.
