just neurodivergent things: not crying for weeks and weeks on end until one day, you’re breaking down over something that isn’t actually worth getting upset about.

just neurodivergent things: when you realize that you’ve actually been suppressing an awful lot of how you actually experience the world because you learned to base your patterns of thought off the descriptions of the way characters in books think.

just neurodivergent things: when you see someone caption a post with, “of course he’s evil, he’s schizo,” and you’re just like, “oh.”

just neurodivergent things: not knowing whether you’re actually sick or if you were wishing to get sick so much that it’s psychosomatic and hating being cared for because it might not be real.

just neurodivergent things: constantly apologizing for forgetting things.

just neurodivergent things: when you can’t describe your symptoms when you’re not experiencing them because you forget what they feel like and you feel like a faker, BUT you also can’t talk about them when you ARE symptomatic either because you’re way too depressed/anxious/etc.

just neurodivergent things: living with the vulnerability of a shit memory because you can be easily convinced of something that isn’t true.
