The Evermore Grimoire:Places

Avalon is a legendary island featured in the Arthurian legend. It was the place where Excalibur was forged and kept safe by The Lady of the Lake as well and the last resting place of King Arthur after his final battle. In Arthurian legend, after Arthur fell at Camlann, he was taken by nine sisters (chief of whom was the sorceress Morgan le Fay, to Avalon. There he would rest until he was required to rise and save his people from disaster. The island was described as “the island of apples (‘Insula pomorum’), called fortunate.”

I was looking into some legends in places around the world and read this:

Glastonbury was literally mentioned to be where the trolls lived in the year 501 when Jim and the others went back into the past in the “Age of the Amulet book! (Book 4) I love how they did that! I don’t wanna just visit this place for the legend, but I feel like wizards made me so much more interested than before on any of this

I just read the newly released Legendborn by Tracy Deonn and had to do a quick painting of Bree Matthews, the very cool protagonist. This was such a great read and an awesome interpretation of the Arthurian legend, I totally recommend!!
