In the first episode of Monster Rancher, we are introduced to Holly and Suezo as they flee with a Mystery Disk they stole from the Black Dinos (”Return the Mystery Disk!”)
But what the series has never explained how exactly did the two get the Disk in the first place?

MyDynasty Warriors 9 Empires 20 Anniversary Box Set showed up before the end of the year! Although it’s not the GC Set version(which GameCity fucked me over on ), I’m still happy. Now my hubby, @risingfox and I will spend New Year’s Eve playing this.

Fall = The beginning of everything terrible (at least IMO).
It may be an unpopular opinion as many people may have their birthdays in the fall and love to celebrate Halloween, but I won’t be afraid to say it. I HATE THE FALL!!
Sorry, but I just cannot jive with everything pumpkin spice (including the basic-ass PSL), the temperature drop, shortened daylight, cloudy skies, and the leaves dying and decaying. Not to mention, seasonal depression is a real shit I get during the fall and the winter. For whatever reason, the cold seasons make me feel insecure and extra nervous; it generates negative energy for me.
Anyway, despite all the dreary shit associated with the autumn, I decided to make a positive out of it by doing a chibi doodle of Daqiao and Xiaoqiao from Dynasty Warriors 4 and Komasan Sun Ce and Komajiro Sun Quan from Yokai Sangokushi, enjoying the fall delicacies.

Here’s something simple in the meantime until I finish the drawings of my new Dynasty Warriors OC, Li Ru. Here is Hua XiongfromDW9andKayukayu (Scritchy) fromYo-kai Watch
I wanted to draw something to personally sunset the summer before September 22nd (the official last day of summer for this year). Besides, the Li Ru drawings started driving me crazy, so I wanted to take a break and draw something minimalistic.
When I watched episode 19 of the current season of Yo-kai Watch, it featured the mosquito yokai, Kayukayu, and that made me think of Hua Xiongsince his name is pronounced “Kayuu”in Japanese. “Kayukayu” derives from the word “kayui,” which means “itchy” in Japanese, so I punned along “Kayuu (Hua Xiong)” with it.

Work in progress. Different expressions of my new Dynasty Warriors OC, Li Ru. These are four out of six expressions. I have all six sketched out, but I’m saving the other two for the final versions. Eventually, these will end up on the model sheet.
While I’m happy with how he’s turning out so far, HE’S BEEN A HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS TO DRAW (all the stupid details that I decided to put in his outfit… damn it).
By the way, Dong Zhuo, you owe Li Ru a mooncake.

Work in progress of my new Dynasty Warriors OC, Li Ru. He’s among many historical figures that haven’t made a playable debut, which I thought will be fun to do my own rendition of.
Last year, I actually drew him in a modern period outfit for one of Koei-Warrior’s art events (you can see him here). He’ll be in his Han Dynasty time outfit in my new drawing.
I’ll be doing an action pose illustration with an environment and a model sheet, so it’ll be a while until you get to see the finished version of this guy.

Today is the 9th Wedding Anniversary for @risingfox and me. On August 11th of 2012, we got married.
I decided to post this romantic image of Li JueandLanyue (my OC), my favorite Dynasty Warriors couples that I did for Valentine’s a couple of years ago. Since it’s been 4 years since I got back into the DW franchise and started drawing a bunch of fanart and developed a handful of OC’s for it, it’s technically their 4th anniversary. Trust me, it was right around our 5th Anniversary when I got hooked onto DW and Koei games again.
That being said, Happy 4th Anniversary for Li Jue & Lanyue, and 9th Anniversary for RisingFox & I.

Finally got to share my 1/6 Scale DW9 Xiahou Dun figure from RingToys. I pre-ordered this in January of 2020, and it showed up at the end of January this year (the damn release date kept on getting pushed back).
Instead of just shooting the photos in my office or taking it to a location to do a photo shoot, my husband, RisingFox made the CG environments we composited them over.
Yup, so I took the photos in front of a black backdrop, vectored him out from the original background, and my husband made the CG environments in Blender and comped them behind him. After that, I made additional edits (adding embers, effects, and lighting). Visit my DA post for more info.

I’m pretty much finished with this piece but didn’t make it a point to post WIP shots until now because I’ve been on social media hiatus since the beginning of the year. Did not want to bother with any social media, especially Instagram, because that scumbag of a platform loves to piss me off with its algorithm.
The full finished version will be coming soon. I’m just waiting to post it until I’m finished with another piece I’m currently working on (it’s an image related to this piece).

My husband,@risingfox got me the 20 Years Detective Conan Cinema Guideandvolume 2 of the Dynasty Warriors 9 artbook for my birthday this year (he got me volume 1 for my birthday back in 2019). Thank you so much!!
Since I wanted to check out Hua Xiong andDong Bai first, I started to flip the artbook from the back and made my way up to the front, where Zhao Yun was (of course) and then burst out laughing when I saw him in his drawer.
Of course Koei had to put an image of the poster boy in his fucking drawer… Well I’m sure all the Zhao Yun fangirls out there have seen this shit already when the artbook was rolled out, but in case you missed it, here it is. Here’s your husbando standing in his fundoshi. You’re welcome.

1/6 Xiahou Dun figurebyRingToys showed up the day before my birthday; it came with a postcard too. This thing came under packaging over packaging (and friggin huge)
Got him out of the box today and assembled him (it was a pain in the ass to put the sword in his hand ). Planning on taking some pictures over the weekend and posting them next week at the earliest. Gonna have to order the lighted display case later.
I pretty much spent my birthday evening assembling him and trying to figure out how I want to do the photo shoot of him. Might have to use the black backdrop (which I never used). Good thing my birthday’s on Friday this year… that means I can actually celebrate it the way I want tomorrow.

Hua Xiong and I both… I can totally relate to how he and the sheep probably feel here. If you’re an INFJ like myself, you’ll basically feel like the black sheep of humanity (not only within the Koei/DW fandom).
