Learning Korean from scratch

Start from: Korean Alphabet a.k.a. Hangul

It is not difficult to memorize and recognize the Korean alphabet in less than a day. But it is a different story when it comes to actually using what you learned or know.

From a personal experience, my reading and writing of the Korean words only improved faster when I practiced reading and writing words I see on videos and social media posts.

However when I first started learning Hangul, the resources I learned from only taught the sounds of each letter in the alphabet. I could read them but I was reading them very slowly and had a hard time understanding the sound changes.

My foundation was not strong. Hence, my learning of the Korean language was very slow and I gave up a few times.

When I first Korean unnie upload this Introduction to Korean Alphabet series recently, I decided to give it a try again and just learn Korean from scratch all over again. However, I want to build a stronger foundation from the start, so that I do not need to keep going back to learn the basics while learning the more advanced parts of the language such as the grammar.

Hopefully this series will help you in building a strong foundation in Korean language as well. :)

Heres the page I hand wrote on Hangul. It has a little bit of history and explains what letters there are and how they're written. I didn't write the pronunciation because I'm writing that on the next page tomorrow. let me know if I missed anything! I will also provide a word document if anyone doesn't want to or can’t write all of this themselves!
