Happy lesbian week of visibility, I think I’m finally comfortable with my complex relationship with gender and sexuality. So I’m happy to say I’m a non-binary lesbian

You’ve probably seen the term female erasure before. Anti-trans pundits love to throw it around to claim trans women are somehow stealing accomplishments from other women. However, they erase cis women in the process of declaring only one type of woman exists. This is where the “adult human female” definition falls apart.
“Female” isn’t a singular experience and has always included trans women. Do they think “real” women have ovaries, XX chromosomes, and lower T levels? 1 in 4 cis women over 50 don’t have ovaries at all. Are they no longer women? Millions of intersex cis women have XY chromosomes, too! Around 10% of all cis women have high T levels due to PCOS. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
You often hear them claim women are those who give birth. Aside from treating us like birthing machines, about 1 in 5 women can’t have biological children for various reasons. Many intersex cis women are also born with penises, which is much more common than you would think. There are huge levels of biological diversity among all females, trans and cis alike.
