across the fucking board, the majority of white people of all ages voted for trump! so it is really not women of color who need to get up and do this work to change this nation – it is white people! and not just white men! white women too! i see you becky! 53% of white women voted for trump! white allies, go talk to your sisters and your aunts and your mothers! stop expecting women of color (especially black women! bcus 94% of black women voted clinton!!) to get up and fight rn! we fought! it is absolutely your fucking turn.
ALSO why do we keep making it poc’s responsibility to change white racists views, it is so clearly just further racism??? We literally know they’re racist, so if there is any chance of enlightening them it has to actively come from white people because if a person is racists THAT LITERALLY MEANS THEYRE NOT GONNA LISTEN TO POC. Not only is it our responsibility, but it’s clearly the quickest route to change!!!!!
If you are not actively trying to combat these things you are literally part of the problem. Stop apologising for our race and start trying to fix it.

I followed this election nailbiting from the other side of the atlantic hoping the us won’t become part of the increasing list of countries whose politics recently took a turn towards the right-wing spectrum
(I’m probably a bit late to talk about this now, but i’m still in the process of realizing this actually happened)
And it’s not just this one sick joke of a president that genuinely terrifies me also his vp, his cabinet and all his voters. i know i’m not american but i’m scared for every woman who may be denied access to abortions, scared for people of colour and the institutionalized opression they face every day, scared for people fleeing from war and poverty that will be denied compassion, scared for all lgbtq+ people out there, scared for possibly ailling governments in europe, scared for all muslims living in the us, and worldwide.. the list goes on but i think we all already know that. but there are also things that give me hope: people going out on the street refusing to accept this as status quo, people wearing safetypins as a sign and promise to try to keep each other safe, people coming together in unity to fight hate with love. peaceful protests can change the course of history, and we are not only witnessing history in the making but also participating in trying to make a better future. our communities have gone trough so many bad and horrible things, but we’ve always shown the world we are stronger than those who spread fear and hate. i hope you all are safe, together with people you love, that give you hope ✨
((und an alle deutschen, die das vielleicht sehen: nächstes jahr ist bundestagswahl. bitte geht wählen, bringt eure freunde dazu zu wählen, informiert euch. ich will keine verdammte afd im parlament sehen))
