Actually one of the first concepts I did for L&N to see what kind of quick style I could go if I had to rush. So this is by no means finished bit rather a conceptual sketch inspired by Ian McQue‘s work - the flying ships and stuff

Really love my new painting-tablet!

This actually started out as an Ancient-Kaiju piece based on a landscape by Wilhelm August Leu from around 1880-1890. It is completely repainted and finally Luna and her friends looked like they belonged in there as well, I just could not resist

A New Luna & Nova piece appeared in the wild! This is actually an overpainted version of a 3D render + composing based on purchased Stockimages.
The 3D-design was made by me as part of the second artist-grant as also the 3D-print, which was my first time designing and printing a 25cm tall figure with 21 parts. The figure will most likely be available to download soon.

I know I have not participated in dtiys challenges, and do you know why?
Because I don’t have a style, I rather draw in someone else’s style, because I just have ideas and think about what would look best to nail that concept.

::Meet Luna & Nova::
.
Just recently finished my documentation for the artist grant, which I received for this project from the Kulturstiftung Rheinland-Pfalz and which was the reason I was not much active here as well.
What is this project about? It is about Luna, a mysterious girl with horns, often wears a star-cape. And there is a flying cat called Nova, with scaling-abilities, things she touches become huge or tiny. And then there is Schrödinger, a Scythe inhabited by 2 demons so strong, they can turn into anything, except they are stressed or unstable, then they might turn into an umbrella, hence the name ;)
.
These are my new OC’s and it is fun working on my own stuff again. No fear, I will keep doing rusty machines and monsters that you know.
However, this series also allows me to do that and it even allows me to include anime or game references while still being original, there are in fact tons of new ideas for paintings right now.
.
The main focus for this project was and is, to create images that let YOU tell stories about it, depending on the context in which you see upcoming images, so keep following this space if you like where this is heading so far.
.
I also needed to paint this, because I started with some completely different images and Schröding was never ever depicted as a Scythe, so I had to paint this in order to explain and introduce the group of characters.
In upcoming works, Schrödinger will shapeshift into Robots and a robotic mouse, more about this later. I really enjoy how this project allows me to to be eclectic in terms of genre as I want to be, ranging from science-fiction to steampunk towards fantasy into anime vibes.
It also allows me to do artist tributes, this one for example is inspired by a painting from Brom.
