Mephisto appearing behind him: “Something the matter?”
Shirou glances wearily at Mephisto, but isn’t startled at the sudden intrusion.
Shirou:“Nothing important. I just don’t know if I should bother celebrating the holidays with the boys. I didn’t have a happy childhood and don’t believe in much, so makes it hard to be jolly …but they see the displays around town and ask why we don’t do anything ourselves.”
Mephisto:“Well, you could always celebrate Christmas, you being a priest and all.”
Shirou: “Yeah but apart from mass, there’s just Santa, and I don’t want to start lying outright to them about a fat guy bringing presents.”
Mephisto: “Well, there’s always Krampus. He’s very real. I could even have him put in an appearance.”
Shirou: “You mean invite a baby snatching demon …to visit my two small children?”
Mephisto: “Hardly. He’s grossly misrepresented in the media.”
Shirou:“He snatches kids, puts ‘em in a sack, beats them and does God knows what else to them!”
Mephisto, affronted: “I beg your pardon! It was one time and quite an unfortunate misunderstanding! For the record, they were two strapping young lads from the village near my gingerbread-styled villa! They came willingly to participate in yuletide merriment and I was nothing but a gracious host. We had our fun then they stole quite a bit, running off saying I tried to cook and in my oven and eat them after getting them into the ‘sack’! That sort of behaviour was frowned on back then and they vilified me! I had to uproot that house and put it in a spare dimension before rioting villagers could burn it down. It had cost a fortune and you wouldn’t believe how long it took to construct.”
Shirou: “I don’t know what disturbs me the most in what you just said, but keep you and your sack away from my kids.”
Annnnd here’s a sketch of Mephisto’s take on the original story of Krampus.
Mephisto: “See? Totally legal, consensual and all parties involved are partaking in the yuletide fun. No children, let alone children in sacks.”

Mephisto said even he doesn’t have the power to alter an existing timeline, so we’re stuck with what 2020 was. Our alternate selves apparently had a blast. Lucky them.

Belial: Funny story. Diablo and Baal were too chicken-shit to tell Mephisto that Inarius got Lilith pregnant. They tricked me into breaking the news. After learning the hard way that Mephisto was very much a shoot-the-messenger type, I decided never to tell the truth again.
If mephisto is behind all this and he’s using Pietro as a  disguise I’m going to be so pissed, I can’t see them doing that though. I think it’s misdirection, and Agnes is the one teaming up with Mephisto. It’s honestly so confusing though on where they’re taking this show. Because I guess when I see Pietro I think they pulled him from the X-men universe and I’m curious how that’s all going to play into bringing actual mutants to the MCU. However I also keep forgetting that this Pietro isn’t the one we know from the MCU. It’s all so damn confusing. The only way I think maphisto would disguise himself and come into the hex is if he thinks Agnes isn’t doing a good job because vision is onto her… idk 
WithSMTIV:A finally westward-bound it’s about time we put the finishing touches on our semi-ongoing coverage of the designs introduced therein, courtesy of artist Masayuki Doi. But hey, at least we’ll be going out on a high note with Mephisto, golden boy of Faustian legend and apparent purveyor of ignominious anime beach scenes!
RIght off the bat, Doi’s rendition is tilling heavily from the traditional theater dress worn in play and opera adapted from the Faust legend: a varying ensemble of red and black replete with pompous frills and occasionally certain jester-like features (notably emphasized in Kaneko’s original design employed in Megami Tensei II). But to narrow it down a bit, Mephisto’s primary inspiration appears to be the illustration pictured above, taken from a series by artist Leon Salut titled L'Art du Travestissement, circa 1885. Just about every feature of the torso is faithfully reproduced, while the less contiguous elements, such as the admittedly dapper cap, are simply culled from other takes on the iconic costume. Throw in some horns and such to suggest more hell-spawn than theater troupe and you’ve got one of the game’s more compelling fresh faces.
Mephisto himself is unfortunately locked away in some decidedly, uh, divisive DLC; practically a Faustian pact in and of itself. It’s a shame, seeing as, for our money, Mephisto stands among Doi’s greatest contributions to the roster.
