#messaging
if you’re offline or away and i message you something (like a link to a meme or a picture or w/e) honestly just assume that i’m just leaving it there for when you get back and not expecting you to answer straight away. i don’t need you to respond with “hey, sorry, i wasn’t at the computer!” or anything. i was leaving u a gift for later.
This also applies if you’re online and just don’t want to or have the energy to deal with humans in the moment. Just because we have the ability to reply in real time does not mean we have the obligation.
im like a cat i drag the posts to ur doorstep and if ur not there it’s ok, the post will be on ur porch for later
Apparently I can’t message now? I don’t have a message icon at all. Anyone know how to fix this?
An individual named Assur-sumu-iddina responding to a certain Summu-Assur. It appears Assur-sumu-iddina did not respond to Summu-Assur’s initial letter. The reason–or possibly excuse–is that Sumu-usur was supposed to give Assur-sumu-iddina the letter. Instead, a nameless man, possibly the courier, didn’t give the letter either and ran away.
Either way, another example of people in ancient world not replying to each other. Source: Letters from Assyrian and Babylonian Scholars by Simo Parpola.

Messaging
I don’t mind it if people message me, just don’t start with something like ‘hi’ and then continue to message with bad grammar. It would also be nice if you try to hold the conversation too
Messaging
When messaging me, don’t start your conversation with “will you dominate me?” Or something else like that because my answer is no. Maybe I actually want to have a genuine conversation rather than the usual shit that sprays from the mouths of the naive? Also, when I do say no to those who inevitably will still message me like that, don’t block me because I have my own morals, it’s childish and shows you don’t have the mental capacity to be in this lifestyle
