AU Where Feathertail DOES get to mentor Hawkpaw, as she still feels connected to him and his sister. She’s still specifically chosen to go find the new territories but similar to Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw, Hawkpaw/Hawkfrost (I forget when he gets his warrior name) insists on coming with her.
This not only gives more characterization to Feathertail as we get to see her as a mentor we also would have earlier indicators of Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost bonding in a not yet-evil- light and see Hawkfrost as a neutral character than obviously bad.

-Hawkfrost is specifically fawned over by the Tribe cats because his name is tribe-like (Hawk that flies in the frost or- something like that.) He does not act as a replacement for Stormfur.
-Feathertail’s relationship with Crowpaw is one-sided on his part. She amuses the idea and shuts him down.
-I haven’t decided if Stormfur should still be included? There’s no real need for him or the tribe cats’ POV but he might trail along.
-Nobody likes Hawkfrost, only Feathertail, who often defends him or takes his side. The other traveling gang finds him insufferable as he challenges Brambleclaw’s position of power consistently (The first warning sign Hawkfrost isn’t a good guy.)
-Feathertail still risks her life to protect the tribe cats, this act of selflessness SHOULD be mentioned, referenced, or thought of fondly by every traveling cat moving forward.
-If Feathertail lives she HAS to become deputy, as at this point everyone in ‘The New Prophecy’ has become a deputy, so to make that theme continue she will be made deputy before she dies.
The beautiful rock formations which make this park stand out are a stunning example of our earths tectonic plate movements. Granite and breccia rock formations tower the landscape which also makes great night quarters for birds such as the endangered California Condor. This evening I pointed my camera East where the setting sun splayed colors of yellow and red, as the full moon began its early rise.
