Dahlia seems to care much more about her mother’s abandonment than her father’s neglect. She almost naturalizes the mistreatment she and Iris received at the hands of Mr. Hawthorne (for lack of a better name, since we don’t know his actual name), but condemns her mother.
My guess is Dahlia thinks she would act no differently from her father - to her, simple power-hungry selfishness is human nature. Morgan’s obsession with restoring the branch family’s honor, and the expectations involved in the Fey clan, seem bizarre - of course, until Dahlia herself loses to Mia and finally understands the value of petty revenge.
