This painting of Nerdanel, titled The Sculptor at Work, is painted by her husband, Fëanor. The subject of the unfinished sculpture is believed to be Fëanor himself.
Feanor hugs his wife. He’s fearless but not here- his fiery heart worries that she can fade away like Miriel. But everything’s fine. Nerdanel laughs, makes her husband and Maitimo smile, by telling how she chose the name for her future son. Warm family order for Myn Donos =)

TheSons of Fëanor were the seven Noldorin Elves Maedhros, Maglor, Celegorm, Caranthir, Curufin, Amrod and Amras. They took the Oath of Fëanor with their father, and pursued it after his death in the Dagor-nuin-Giliath. They held lands in East Beleriand, with Maedhros and Maglor holding the immediate passes south of Lothlann, and the other brothers ruling lands behind their guard to the south.
